We stayed here on our road trip back to Alberta from Mesa and it was the best place we stayed the whole trip! The executive suite was perfect for my husband and I, our two kids under two-years-old, and my sister-in-law. Very comfortable. I'll forever rave about the delicious chia pudding from the homemade breakfast in the morning (I had never had it but now I make it all the time) and the rest of the food was delicious as well. Thank you for the memorable stay!

This lodge is a great option for staying in Blanding and visiting the Bears Ears National Monument and surrounding areas. We stayed in the family suite, and we were very impressed. The suite was very spacious and generously stocked with everything we needed (and more). The staff were very friendly and helped with all our questions. Wonderful accommodations, and we will stay here again soon!

This was one of the best places I have ever stayed in. My room was decorated in rustic log cabin fashion, with beautiful wood items that added to the decor. The bed was enormous, with six wonderful fluffy pillows. I had wonderful sleep. The shower and toiletries were exquisite. Breakfast super delicious with Chia pudding with fruit, hot pockets with ham egg and cheese, and cinnamon roll - all freshly made in the morning. Location is great too - easy drive to the Natural bridges monument and the Arches national park. Definitely include this lizard in your itinerary!

This is a wonderful, artistically and professionally curated boutique motel, locally owned. So many lovely, high end finishings, super tasty included continental breakfast, communal outside garden area to relax in. The tub in my room was nice and deep, comfortable bed with great pillows and nice natural fiber sheets. I was able to snag a pet friendly room (room #15), I think the pet fee was $45, not sure exactly but it was low. Highly recommended 👌 oh... it's a dry town so plan accordingly 👍🏼

The biggest disappointment everWe stayed overnight at this place. I picked it because the photos online were tempting, place looked cosy, stylish and it had great reviews. But, unfortunately it didn’t come up to our expectations at all. Since we were traveling in December, I kindly asked to switch on the heater upon our arrival. The person on the phone assured us that everything would be done, in fact it wasn’t. We arrived around 11pm in the freezing cold rooms, that didn’t look even close to the images I had seen online; half of the following night we were trying to warm the rooms up, which turned out to be quite tricky, since there was a draft from every corner. The staff was unwelcoming, if not rude: when we came over to have breakfast at 9.10 am, she claimed they had already finished serving one and barely let us grab some coffee, telling us she had to clean up the table. Another lady turned up to my son’s room at 8 am and wondered if he was still there.. I have no idea how such a ramshackle place could gain it’s rate. It might have been nice once, but now it leaves much to be desired. I would never either stay there again or recommend it to anyone.

Such a great little place! I visited the Bears Ears Monument for a few days and this was in a great location. The rooms were clean and the beds were very comfortable. It's not the norm anymore to get room service anymore so that was a great surprise to get the beds made and clean towels again. The breakfast was delicious! I keep thinking about the chia pudding fruit cup! I will be back to Blanding and will look to book the Stone Lizard Lodge first for my stay.

I am a hyatt globalist (read a lot of hotel stays) and we've stayed in some swanky vrbo/airbnb. Our stay here was absolutely heavenly. The king size bed was excellent (no dips and perfect firmness for us). The pillows were awesome. Immaculately clean. The decor could have come from a gallery - i mean it probably did! Worth every cent and a much needed stay after 14 hrs of driving! And pet friendly!!!

The Stone Lizard Lodge is a great place to stay. Along with a very pleasant and accomodating staff, our room (deluxe King) was wonderfully decorated and very comfortable. The included breakfast is delicious. Those savory pockets and cinnamon rolls are tasty! Blanding may not be on everyone's destination list but it is very convenient to explore many wonderful sights along Hwy 95 like Natural Bridges National Monument and tons of ruins like the House of Fire and Butler Wash. Highly reccomend a stay here!

By far, the best place we stayed at during our week long road trip. My sister in law stumbled upon this hotel accidentally and we are all so grateful she did.Our room was gorgeous. It was 2 separated rooms, with a wall between the two with a open doorway. The beds were absolutely COMFORTABLE. The room was spectacular and spotless. The bathroom and the shower was gorgeous. We were advised at check in that there would be breakfast in the morning. We were blown away. Absolutely blown away with the breakfast we received. The owner and her family (at least I’m assuming) made HOMEMADE cinnamon rolls. These were so good. There was also a chia pudding with fruit, which I was skeptical about before trying. I am so grateful that I did because it was so good. As we were leaving breakfast, we passed a coffee bar with to go cups. This coffee bar was fully stocked, plenty of flavored syrups, sugar free options, drizzles, etc. we all grabbed a cup on our way out, to which was also delicious.this hotel was a 10/10 stay, and I would HIGHLY recommend this to anyone, family and strangers.

An absolute gem of a place. We were 7 days into our national park road trip when we stayed here for a night on our way home. It was just the rest and relaxation we were needing to hit the road again. We will be coming back here for a longer stay and I’ll be thinking about that complimentary breakfast for a long time (SO SO good). Oh and they accommodate gluten allergies (gluten free) as well which is so rare to find with hotel breakfasts.

My dad and I stayed here and it was amazing, we wish we could have stayed another night! The employees were very kind and knowledgeable. We had a room with 2 queen size beds and it was very spacious and clean. The bathroom we had in our room was also very clean and modern. The room had a mini fridge, microwave, and a TV. There is a lot of outdoor seating in-front of your room and out back, where there is also a rose garden! The lodge was overall very quaint, cute, clean, and up-to-date! Highly recommend staying here.

We loved our stay at the Stone Lizard Lodge! The room was extremely comfortable and decorated with a cozy-cabin feel. The homemade breakfast was easily the best continental breakfast we've ever enjoyed. The cinnamon rolls especially! Blanding itself is a great location if you are touring the national parks in the area, like Canyonlands or Arches.

My parents and I had an excellent stay at this hotel. The rooms were comfy and cozy and the bathroom was well appointed with good pressure. Much cleaner than the chain hotels we stayed in on the same trip. We loved sitting at the table outside of our room in the evening and eating our dinner. Unfortunately we arrived on a Sunday so the only thing to eat was Subway. (But it is right across the street so very convenient. The staff at Subway were also very kind.)The breakfast was among the best I’ve ever had at a hotel. Fresh and plentiful and we had nice conversation with the other guests while we enjoyed it.Would DEFINITELY recommend this hotel if you happen to find yourself in this area of Utah.

Rooms were very clean, updated, and beautiful. AC worked great! Breakfast was phenomenal! All homemade. We had egg tomato and ham stuffed baked croissants, and homemade whole wheat cinnamon rolls with homemade icing. Check-in was flawless. There is a beautiful patio area called Kathy’s garden. You can hang out back there and it’s just gorgeous! There are also chairs and tables right outside your door. If you are a smoker, this is definitely a great set up. If you know you know. And staying at the Holiday Inn express the whole way from Minnesota, This was a pleasant surprise! Highly recommend.

I had to make an unplanned stop for the night in Blanding and I was impressed by the Stone Lizard Lodge. I think it’s fair to call it a “luxury motel”.Well-furnished and clean rooms, very nice landscaping (check out the garden in the back), a homemade breakfast, quiet heat pumps in many of the rooms instead of loud wall AC units. If I’m ever in the area again, I’ll be coming back!

Had a wonderful three night stay here in April 2023. Breakfast is AMAZING, beds are comfy, and good water pressure in the shower. Staff was kind and helpful. Couldn’t ask for anything more! Highly recommend, will definitely stay again next time I’m in the area.

When you're traveling through the back country of Utah and Colorado, you don't have a large selection of hotels. Especially in the middle of winter. We had our Miniature Schnauzer with us, and it was a perfect place to stay. It's not fancy, but it's very nice. The bathroom had a large walk-in shower and even a makeup mirror. The room was warm and cozy. The next morning, we enjoyed a delicious breakfast buffet with fresh baked breads and pastries, quinoa pudding with fresh fruits, and hot coffee, of course. It's a great place to stay... and pet friendly!

My wife and I stayed there a couple of nights while we toured the area. The rooms were comfortable and well appointed. They were decorated in southwest decor. The owner met us and gave us our key. She also is the green thumb for all the beautiful flower pots outside each room and for the very nice tranquil garden in the back to relax in. The breakfast was included and there were many homemade and delicious items. I really enjoyed the whole wheat cinnamon rolls and the breakfast hot pocket.
