Cute small motel for a quick one night stay! The rooms were cute and decorated nicely. The curtains didn't close all the way and the blinds were broken. Definitely needs an update for the window coverings.Bed was a spring mattress. Not terrible but not amazing either. Wouldn't be able to do more than two nights probably. TV worked fine, great size fridge, and a nice shower.

I enjoyed an overnight stay at the Prospector Motor Lodge while on a three-week motorcycle tour. My room was well appointed with fridge, microwave, coffee maker and a large modern TV. Clean comfortable bed was accompanied by a two-person table and a nightstand. The rich wooden interior gave it a nice homey feel. Outdoor seating is available under a shade tree; the parking lot and grounds are well maintained. Overall a very agreeable stay -- certainly more appealing than a drab chain hotel.

What a place, definitely best motel I stayed during my last trip! Clean, big and cozy room, so comfortable. It was so great I decided to extend my stay for one more day. Besides you have a lot of attractions nearby, Mexican Hat, Valley Of The Gods, Natural Bridges. Highly recommend! And the staff was so friendly! in the morning a good breakfast will be waiting for you.

Loved this place! Reminds me of Grandma’s house. Cozy, quaint and very clean. If you are looking for a new place with everything updated and a price that reflects the newness, this is not your place. But, if you’re looking for clean, comfortable, quiet friendly, easy to access and a great value….. this is your place. Rebecca does a fantastic job and is very friendly. I loved staying here. You can park directly in front of your unit and walk right in. In the morning they offer coffee and orange juice with pre-packaged breakfast snacks. I loved this place.

Cute! Super helpful front desk: we felt very welcome. Loved the wood panelling and little touches like decor and the black face cloths. Good heater, comfy bed. Could hear another guest coughing up a lung loud and clear at 3am. Very reasonable price: would recommend.

The cigarette butt in the bathroom was unfortunate, but the price is great and the beds were clean and comfortable. Shower was warm for all four of us, but never quite got hot for anybody. Towels were pretty small and there wasn't any lotion. Apart from that, I was happy with the stay! The soap/shampoo/conditioner does smell divine:)

Lovely motel under new ownership. Our room had new carpet and beautiful wood paneling. Bathroom was dated, but clean.I happened to arrive at 8pm on a Saturday night and the staff helped me be aware that all restaurants and the grocery store would be CLOSED on Sunday. I was able to make a quick trip to Clark's and get some essentials to cook up in my microwave and store in my fridge. Without this knowledge, it would have been a dismal mother's day morning with no food and a grumpy toddler to boot. I really appreciate the hotel staff making our stay a positive experience.I would definitely stay here again.

This is probably one of the first motor lodges in Blanding in the 50s. It could use some tlc. The windows are wood and I couldn't get one to latch shut. The ac was a window unit that never quite got the room cooled down. A fan may have been helpful to pull the cool air into the bed area. Checking in was easy and everyone was pleasant. The room was clean and they had coffee, orange juice and pastries for breakfast.

While an older hotel, do not let that be your decision maker. The rooms are large, and comfortable. The owners, who live on-site, are fantastic hosts. They enjoy actually meeting their guests over morning coffee, or an evening cookout. The rooms are a little dated, but the owners are already making positive strides in updating everything. I will not hesitate to stay here again on my next trip to southeast Utah!

We're traveling cross country & stopped at the Prospector Motor Lodge for one night. We called to reserve 2 rooms at around 9:30 p.m. & the lady who answered was so sweet! When we arrived, we were greeted very nicely. Our rooms were so incredibly clean & comfortable! We were so grateful for the accommodations! Definitely recommend this place if you're heading to or through Blanding, Utah. I guarantee you'll sleep wonderfully & will enjoy every second you're there!

I picked this motel because I loved the wood on the walls in the photos. I was not disappointed! The new owner was very friendly and we talked about the history of the motel. He is working hard to get the motel back to its original looks. It does still need work and I think I shared my room with a ghost (room 123) but I will return to this motel again. The fixtures reminded me of my parents house from the 1960's and all good memories! The room was warm during a cold night and it was quiet. They served a typical breakfast of which I had no complaints.

A quaint little motel with western decor. The Owner and his Wife were very accommodating during our stay there in early October. The price was very respectable and it included a generous continental breakfast. A fairly new purchase for the owner and he is doing updates and improvements as time & money permits. His information on where to eat, obtain gas, etc. was very helpful If you are headed to the National Parks, to see Mexican Hat, or off to Bluff, UT, or Four Corners, it is definitely a great place to stay along the way.

Rode tousends of miles across the country on my bike, from lake Superior Shores to Utah enchanted lands and this is the best motel I stayed at. Period!Stayed here two different times, different rooms and bed was more comfortable then at home lol, clean rooms, spacious and the owners are really calm and friendly real people. Highly recommend if you are tired of the road.....

Really nice lodge, it's comfortable and clean, the matress is so good, supporting entire back, it's totally worthing for every penny that you spend for the room. Pretty big room in lovely desgin. One thing in short is that the restroom was small, and some stains in the tube(not influencing use, just not in beauty). The scene outside is amazing, sitting on the real grass in the patio, and enjoy coming wind is so so pleased:). And the staff is really friendly and polite, definitely will visit again, if someday i pass this lil town.

Though it was slightly dated this was probably one of my favorites I've ever stayed in. The family that run it, helped make if feel like home. The place was very warm feeling and large especially for a hotel and it was very nice that the parking is right outside everyone's room!

Management is really helpful and always trying to find ways to improve guest experience. Rooms are very clean. Continental breakfast a step up from nearby motel chains, and they have a dedicated hot water pot so your drink/oats doesn't taste like coffee.
