Tried out the restaurant and it's unique offerings (pickle pie and bean pie). They were much sweeter than I expected, but definitely worth a try. The Mushroom Swiss burger was fantastic.

We stopped in to try the pickle pie. Unfortunately the restaurant was closed due to staffing but the front desk of the hotel sells the pies to-go. Just beware - the pies are $19 (!!) each! The pie itself was pretty good and tasted fresh (the motel owner mentioned that they’re made every morning). Would have been great if they offered the pickle pie in a mini size, but my guess is that they are making more $$ from pies than from motel guests these days.Worth a stop if you’re in the area given how unique it is, but wouldn’t make it a destination.

We really enjoyed the breakfast we had here and our waitress was very kind to talk to us about the business and about the large selection of pies displayed. If you really want to try something special try the Pinto Bean Pie, the Pickle Pie, Buttermilk Pie and the Oatmeal Pie, along with other fruit pies, they even offer a sampler plate of your choice which is equivalent to two slices of pie. You would think that the four pies I mentioned would be savory, but they are not! They are actually sweet and different! The coffee was great, very important for breakfast and the plates were generous to start your day right, we look forward to visiting this restaurant again!

Wanted to order a burger to share in half so that me and my girlfriend could still have room to try their famous pickle pie.We were told (quite rudely too) that they didn't ALLOW sharing. The restaurant was empty. What a joke.I specifically took a detour to stop by the Sunglow Motel because I had fond memories of the place from my first trip to Utah. I remembered it as a great old school diner with home-style country cooking. Not anymore: now they have a pretentious fusion menu, bad food and worse service. Never again.

We had a dinner at this restaurant after visiting Capitol Reefs National Park. We absolutely loved the place: food was delicious and service was great! Lula kebab (minced beef on skewers) was very good, chicken sandwich was great as well as beef soup and shrimp basket. Of course, for desert we had to try those famous pies, peach with sour cream and raspberry with coconut are my favorites!

Great restaurant and delicious food! Nice set up and ambiance. Staff is very attentive, friendly and helpful.Burgers are big and delicious, salads are tasty and the pies are unique and tasty. Try the Sunglow Sampler (pickle, pinto bean, buttermilk and oat) pies and they were great

Great place to stay - the room was huge and very clean! ( could use some more hooks ) its such a pleasure to stay in a large room with a coffee maker and fridge. Its only a few miles outside of Torrey, nice and quiet.Had dinner at the restaurant one night and the owner and staff were top notch. Would stay here again in a heartbeat!Really friendly owners who care about their guests.

We have been coming to the SunGlow for years and years. It’s a tradition. The first thing we noticed was the makeover the restaurant recently had. It looks beautiful. Super bright and inviting. The second thing we noticed was a huge price increase. We ordered our favorite, a side salad and chicken basket. The ginger dressing was delicious and my salad was mostly fresh lettuce. Then the chicken basket came. It was so much smaller than it used to be. The chicken was gristly and so heavily salted, I couldn’t eat it. The fries were soggy and the scone was doughy. Our family was so disappointed and our wallet was significantly lighter. We had to go into Torrey for another meal. Good bye SunGlow. We are sad to part ways.

Stopped at the restaurant on my way to Capitol Reef. It’s been newly remodeled and was very nice. The views were fantastic and the atmosphere was comfortable. The food was terrific - one of the best burgers I’ve ever had and the pickle pie was so unique, I loved it. The owner was friendly and the service was great. Will definitely be stopping here again.

Great stay! We had to stay here on a last minute notice given car troubles and the hosts were so nice and accommodating! The room was clean and had everything we needed especially a very comfortable king size bed! Space is recently remodeled so everything is very modern and clean. We also ate at the restaurant for lunch and everything was delicious! I would definitely recommend the scones with honey butter and the Sunglow sampler to try a few of their pies! We also had the turkey pesto sandwhich and the Bicknell burger and both were five stars as well! Overall great experience at Sunglow motel and restaurant.

Room was good but one thing no microwave and a no cooking in the room policy. I was on this trip for work which involves me getting back past 8 p.m. At that point everything was closed, I was forced to snack on precooked items for dinner lousy policy if you ask me. Sell the food at the restaurant on merit not by eliminating the other options.

This restaurant used to be good. Emphasis on the “used”. The new menu is very different which isn’t necessarily bad but it now contains Mediterranean food which would seem to awesome. It was not. The eight dollar corn dog we ordered for our 5 year old was still cold from the freezer. I got 6 onion rings with my sandwich, these are small ones too. The waiters are careless. And only offered to give me a refill after the 45 min wait for our food. The owner was walking around aimlessly as he watched his staff fail to complete simple tasks like making checks, cleaning tables, and checking up on customers. Also we got charged extra on “accident”, the menu had the wrong prices listed and we got charged for an extra drink. They then refused to refund us for the extra drink. This was one of the worst experiences at a restaurant I have ever had, and I have literally eaten at a McDonald’s in gallop New Mexico.

New ownership has obviously paid off!I used to go to this restaurant twice a month from 2017-2019, but they changed some things that we didn't like. Noticing that it was being renovated, I happened to meet the new owners and they were super friendly and welcoming. My husband and I went in for the first time since they had the puke green walls and were absolutely delighted with the new look. It is clean, has a more modern style, and the facelift makes it a much more inspiring place to eat. Tables were well spaced, surfaces were cared for, and we had a nice window seat. Alana (the owner) suggested we try the Mediterranean food, which is a new addition to the menu. It still has soup and sandwiches, typical diner options like burgers and fries, but the Mediterranean food was a hit! The beef kabobs had a fantastic smoky flavor from the barbecue they stoke up outside. Hummus + pita that came with the meal was tasty, and the rice pilaf with a roasted tomato was just what we needed. Usually diners don't have good lemonade options, but the raspberry lemonade was delicious and we loved the refills. Pictured is the ground beef kabob, which we didn't like as much as the regular kabob - but still awesome.10/10 would recommend, especially if you're local and haven't been in yet. Haven't tried the pies to see if they're still up to snuff, but I did see the more popular ones still on the menu (pinto, pickle, etc.)Ownership was very accommodating and personable, so come support the new owners!

I heard about their wild famous pickle pie and had to make a stop! We got the sampler which included the pickle pie, pinto bean pie, oatmeal pie and buttermilk pie. I loved the bean pie, and my husband loved the pickle pie. Definitely worth the stop.

Place has been remodeled since I have been here many years ago. Was looking for the old school breakfast place it used to be. It wasn't. Decided to stick it out. Ordered a club sandwich. Buddy ordered a chicken sandwich. For some reason the young lady brought out three sandwiches. My order had the wrong side. She was flustered and visibly upset. We were nice about it but you could tell she didn't like it. She fixed it and all was well. Food was pretty good. Both sandwiches had good flavor. Would order again. Other lady came out to make sure things were OK. That was very nice. All in all it was a good stop.

Incredible mix of Mediterranean food and your favorite American dishes. Delicious pies, but the most impeccable part of our experience was the service. Do you wanna have a five star restaurant service experience come here!

The SunGlow restaurant had delicious food and friendly service. The menu had a lot of variety including options for vegetarians and gluten friendly.Everyone in my party enjoyed their dinner. We weren't hungry enough to try the pie sampler so I have no idea about the pickle or pinto been pie, that will have to be an eating adventure in the future.

This cafe was beautifully designed, very clean and comfy! Felt like the best place to pop off for a bite to eat and coffee for our long drive to Bryce! I had the jalapeño burger and LOVED it as well as their homemade fries! I did not have enough room for their pies but they are award winning! I’m so curious about the pickle pie… so maybe someone can write about that ;)

To begin, the food is amazing and delicious! The pies were home made and incredible! I would travel across the country again just to try them! Every dish you try will be flavorful and priced nicely! This place reminded me of my hometown and everyone was so nice and went the extra mile with service. In the rooms, you can tell they upgraded many things recently to keep up. Again, nicely priced too!

This place has some interesting pies, the other food is good but not the reason to check this place out. We got the pie sampler which had their buttermilk, the oatmeal, the pinto bean and the pickle pie. All of these are better than what you would expect. The buttermilk was like mixing a lemon custard with a white cake would be like. The oatmeal was like a giant half of a little Debbie oatmeal cream pie, but without the cream (so its a little dry). The pinto bean was basically red bean and coconut pie. The pickle was relish and dough served in a pie crust. We also got the chicken basket and the briknell burger. Rhe chicken basket came with regular french fries which were ok but also had a scone, which was very similar to a beignet but without the powdered sugar. The briknell burger was very tasty and we got it with the sweet potato fries (which are actually sweet potato tater tots), which were very good (who doesn't enjoy tater tots?).

It's great.❤I just stayed here today. The room was very clean and updated in good taste. Really comfortable bed and pillows. Having a mini fridge that actually keeps my drinks cold is nice. Good size TV with cable kept me entertained. It's a big plus to have a Restaurant with awesome menu choices right here.Definitely a hotel that I recommend 💯 percent.
