This was our favorite place to stay out of everywhere that we visited on our trip to Southern Utah, Zion and Bryce Canyon. There were so many special touches and having your own private bathroom that you can lock your things up in was great. Our covered wagon had dual heated mattress pads so that we could each control the temperature of our bed. It was cool outside, but we were nice and toasty. We enjoyed having a fire and roasting marshmallows. We could have grilled if time had allowed. This was a great experience that I would highly recommend.Noteworthy details: An excellent experience in Glamping!

Whispering Pines is rustic, clean, and charming. We were only there one night, but our family of six really liked the wagon (bed heaters are great!) and appreciated the bathhouse, laundry, and trading post. We took advantage of the gas grill to make burgers and the fire pit for s'mores. The owners have thought through a lot of small details and we found everything we needed. We would definitely stay here again and I can see how a family reunion or big group would enjoy this spot, too.

We selected Whispering Pines as a destination for our family reunion because it was the best value we could find for a large group. We loved the beautiful setting in the pine trees and had a great time there. The wagons are thoughtfully designed and create a fun experience all by themselves. They bathrooms are clean and convenient. We visited both Bryce Canyon and Zion National Park and it was great to be such a short distance to two spectacular parks. This was a great place to meet for a family reunion and we'd definitely consider visiting again in the future.Rooms: The wagons were a super fun experience and were well designed. The bathrooms were clean and convenient and all have hot water and a shower.Nearby activities: Highway 89 between Panguitch and Kamas is a beautiful drive. Whispering Pines is located just far enough off the highway to create a quiet setting in the beautiful pine trees and it's about 45 minutes to both Bryce Canyon and Zion National Parks.

This is an amazing gem located basically right in the middle of Bryce and Zion. We enjoyed both parks during our stay but the highlight for our family was Whispering Pines. No one was ready to leave at check out time. They have thought of everything! The private bathroom was amazing, the bed warmers, community kitchen for any kitchen utensils you may need. The wagon was clean and beds were comfy and warm. We all slept so well here. It was magical and I would stay here again in a minute! I can't recommend this place enough!

My family absolutely loved staying in the covered wagon. It was so cute and clean. There was so much to do from camp fires and hatchet throwing to zip lining and exploring. The owners were so kind and accommodating. I have three children age range 6-11 and they really enjoyed staying here. There are so many things for kids to do. My daughter really enjoyed finding all the hidden fairy gardens. I would definitely stay here if we are ever in the area again.

My family and I were on an epic National Parks road trip and Whispering Pines was truly a highlight. What an experience and memory. Amenities were great and my kids enjoyed all the fun things to do with all the other kids staying there. Communication was great. It is nestled right in between Bryce and Zion parks, so we just home based there for 3 nights.

This has been one of the best experiences we have had east of Zion. Staying in a wagon was one of THE best experiences we have had. It is very family friendly, there are many things the kids can do (even the occasional grumbly teenager 🙂), from just tossing a football around, throwing a Frisbee to shooting some hoops. The wagons are cozy and spacious, our family of 6 fit just fine. The hosts have thought of everything! From having your own space to grill and roast marshmallows to your very own bathroom to use. There is laundry on site for a small fee, as well as kitchen utensils that previous guest have left behind that you can use.If you happen to go on a chilly night the mattress heating pads leave you feeling as if you are wrapped in a cozy blanket that was just taken out of the dryer. But the ultimate treat are Harley, the resident golden doodle and Jack the cat that comes around for head scratchies.Absolutely recommend, we will definitely go again for longer in the warmer season.

Absolutely stunning location and adorable wagons. My girls want to live here permanently. Out of all our accommodation experiences in Utah, Whispering Pines was the highlight! The owners, and family, were lovely and hospitable. Could not rate it more highly. We will be back! Also, if you're in the area, be sure to stop by family-run Aunt Sue's in Duck Creek for the best meal and terrific hospitality.Nearby activities: Bryce Canyon was a highlight.

A beautiful way to get off the beaten track, enjoy a campfire with a cat on your lap, and climb into a soft pre-heated bed when you're done roughing it. Everything was exceptionally clean and well thought out. Although we couldn't partake of all the simple pleasures provided, it looks like a great place for families to gather and enjoy the outdoors (in comfort).Noteworthy details: Laundry, coffee, outdoor games, tasteful little gift shop, walking trails all on site. Each wagon has its own private and charming bathroom and shower. Glamping comes at a higher price than camping and even other hotels, but they've gone out of their way to earn it.

We rented out all 6 wagons for a family reunion at Whispering Pines and we loved everything about it! The land is gorgeous, the location conveniently off of the 89 just far enough to feel secluded from the highway but no more then a couple of miles so getting in and out was a breeze. The wagons were so fun. The best parts of camping (fires, smores, lizard hunting, cornhole) with all the comforts of home (heated beds, ac, flushing toilets, hot showers). The camp Trade store was adorable that our kids loved. Hatchet throwing, zip lines, volleyball, the list of available activities goes on and on. It was easily the highlight of our summer. We've not even been home 24 hours and our kids are already asking if we can go again next year.

We stayed 3 nights at Whispering Pines. It is truly a unique experience. The wagons are very roomy. Comfy heated king size bed! Small refrigerator, coffee maker and a microwave. Christy and Rob are super friendly and wonderful hosts. We enjoyed the resort amenities…. Axe throwing, corn hole, volleyball and just laying around in the hammocks. Absolutely relaxing. Also the location is perfect. Right between Bryce National Park and Zion National Park. I can not say enough about this place. Do yourself a favor and book a night or two. We will definitely be going back!

We were staying in a covered wagon! That was an interesting experience to have. We are not really campers but we enjoyed the outdoors with a fire and the activities they had available. Close to Bryce and Zion National Parks.Nearby activities: National parks Bryce and Zion were close.

We had a wonderful time and were so disappointed to leave our wagon. It was great to get away from the hustle of city life and the chaos of the family calendar. Our wagon had enough beds for each kid to have their own. The beds were soft and comfy with lots of option for layers. The heated mattress pad was toasty. The temperature of the wagon could be whatever you like since a heater was provided (also a source of white noise for snoring). The propane grill with side burner came in handy for boiling water. We took advantage of the trading post and the take some/leave some and had some food over the campfire. I was the last person in our family of six to shower and I always had hot water. We filled up our hiking water bottles each day from the water pump or sinks. The area was well lit as I was walking back and forth to do laundry. The extra details/decorations did not go unnoticed (toiletries, coffee, etc). We loved the hammocks, hatchet throw, zipline, corn hole, volleyball, cat, dog!Rooms: So cute and cozy!Nearby activities: We visited Bryce Canyon National Park (45 minutes away) and Zion National Park (40 minutes away).Safety: The paths were softly lit at night and you have the option of locking the wagon while you are out exploring.Walkability: All amenities are a located in the wagon or are just a few steps away in the bathhouse/laundry pantry.Food & drinks: We wanted for nothing in terms of cooking supplies.

We booked our stay well in advance and got a message a few weeks before our arrival that there had been a tremendous amount of snowfall. Rob and Christy were afraid that our experience in this case would be less than we were expecting and were kind enough to offer us a complete refund.Of course we denied this offer being the snow lovers that we are and had a wonderful stay. The wagons are large and luxurious with great mattresses (heated!) and good linens. There is a fire pit and you can throw axes! Our kids loved it.

This is such a great unique experience and a great location. It is located between Zion National Park and Bryce Canyon National Park. This is tucked back in the woods and not fought on top of the highway like other covered wagons we saw while driving. We stayed in Wagon 6 which had a king sized bed and two bunkbeds.. allWhich were super comfy and were equipped with heated mattress pads. Each wagon has a private bathroom in the bath house not far from the wagon. Each site has a fire pit with chairs, sticks for roasting marshmallows, and BBQ grill. The bath house also has a little area where there are pots/pans/BBQ utensils for use and a sink to clean them after. We loved it and will definitely do this again.Noteworthy details: Super clean!

My family and I stayed here for a family reunion. There is so much to do for kids, mine were sad to leave. Even though it rained every day we were there, the cabins kept us warm and dry and having our own bathrooms to use was a big plus. There was also a propane heater that kept us comfortable under the pavilion. My kids enjoyed the stream, swings, trampoline, zip line, ax throwing, and playing with the cat and making graves for the chipmunks he caught. If our family doesn't get too big by the time its my turn to plan our reunion, we will most definitely visit again.

We had a wonderful time at Whispering Pines. The wagons are very comfortable and the private bathroom is very nice to have. The fire pit, picnic table, and grill are in perfect condition and easy to use. The grounds have activities sprinkled about them and feels safe to let the children wander and play. The beds and the sheets are extremely comfortable. The air smells so clean and like fresh pine.

My family had a wonderful evening at Whispering Pines and really wished we'd had a second night there. The covered wagons are amazing, everything was very clean and we loved having our own designated bathroom at the bathhouse. There are so many fun little activities for the kids to do around the property too. We've already recommended this location for friends traveling through the area next year. We'd absolutely stay again!

We stayed in a covered wagon at Whispering Pines during our fall break and had a wonderful time. The heaters and mattress heat pads kept us nice and warm despite the colder evening temperatures. The wagon and private bathroom were both very clean and the beds were comfortable. Our kids loved the hatchet throw and can't wait to go back in the summer time to enjoy more of the fun activities on the property. The location is super convenient for a home base while visiting Bryce, Zion, and Kanab.

We recommend this to anyone, don't hesitate!! A perfect spot for a wonderful 2 night stay. We really enjoyed the covered wagons! Beds are very comfortable, fridge worked well, heaters kept the chill off, and they are very sturdy. The grills work very well and the fire pit was a nice and relaxing after a day of hiking. The bathrooms are very nice, well kept, and have all the necessities. We loved the Trading Post! It's like a little store right onsite. We thought the take some leave some was a GREAT idea. Very quiet and peaceful. We didn't get to meet the owners but saw them from a distance and knew they were right there if we needed anything. Was nice that they are between Zion and Bryce Canyon. The diary in the cabin is a wonderful idea, enjoyed reading the experience of others and found Aunt Sue's Chalet in Duck Creek because of it! Very good breakfast! If we are in the area we will definitely stay again!

Beautiful location, clean and comfortable amenities, plentiful activities, and the nicest hosts you can imagine. We booked three nights and wish we could have stayed a week (our 4-year-old asked if we could stay forever). We will most definitely be back. The beds were so comfortable that we all (2 adults and 4 children in one wagon) slept really well, and there was so much to do just at the resort that we never even made it to the nearby national parks we'd planned to visit. I've been raving about this place on social media, and my husband totally agrees that Whispering Pines is amazing...but he kind of wants me to back off on posting because he's worried that if too many people find out about it it'll get so booked up we won't be able to stay there again. 😄 Hey, I'll just book a year in advance if I have to!

We stayed two nights at Whispering Pines and had a wonderful time!! It is the cutest place and every detail is thought of to make your stay comfortable. The wagons were so fun and unique to stay in and so clean, comfortable, nice and new. There were mattress heaters and a heater for the wagon and even USB ports to charge our phones. The bathroom was SO nice and clean, it was nicer than a lot of hotel bathrooms we have been to. The owners were so friendly, welcoming and nice. We had a wonderful experience and will definitely will be back, I would recommend this place to anyone!!

We truly enjoyed our time staying in a covered wagon. What a fun experience! The attention to detail was above and beyond (including heated mattress pads on the bed for cold nights. We were so comfortable! The family is very friendly and welcoming, and the attention to detail is amazing. We would recommend to anyone passing through the area. We only wish our schedule had allowed more time for us to enjoy all that the Covered Wagons had to offer.

A wonderful experience at whispering Pines, people were friendly and helpful. Room and restroom are super clean, the heated mattress really worked well. Our kids really enjoyed and wants to go back again soon. Lots of activities on site too, its the safe place for kids to play while I am enjoying the nature. Will go back there again for sure.

Whispering Pines is a one of a kind getaway for those who love nature and camping, but would also like a comfortable bed to sleep in each night after a rigorous day of hiking and sightseeing. My partner and I spent 8 nights here while visiting Zion And Bryce Canyon national parks. The property is tucked just off of an easily accessible roadway situated right between each destination about 45 minutes from either). We enjoyed a fire every night and cooked our meals on the grill, played at horseshoes and corn hole and hatchet throwing during our down time after the parks. Daily hot showers in our private bathroom in the bathhouse, and midweek laundry kept us fresh and comfortable throughout our adventure. Heated mattress pads on the king sized bed (one for each side) in our adorable covered Conestoga wagon kept us warm and snug on cold nights when the temperature sometimes got down into the 30s. The owners, Christy and Rob, their oldest son Brycen and the manager Kelsie were all very friendly, welcoming and helpful during our stay. They have an incredible attention to detail here and truly thought of all the little things we could want for on this type of trip. I’d 100% recommend this place to anyone looking for a wonderful and comfortable (and quite unique) stay while visiting southern Utah. Many thanks!!

Perfect for our family adventure! We had a last minute change of plans and wanted to have a memorable place to stay instead of another hotel. We were able to zip line (at extra cost), axe throw, relax in the hammocks, and jump on the trampoline. The covered wagons were heavenly for a chilly night (50ish degrees Fahrenheit). They had heated blankets and a heater/air conditioner in the wagon. You have your own private bathroom in the bath house. I was so glad that they accepted one night visits as that was all we had time for this trip. I would highly recommend Whispering Pines!!
