These guys are the best at Alta, or a lot of places for that matter. I wanted to “try b4 buy’ approach to selecting a new powder ski, and tried out five different skis over a day and a half, but was mostly impressed with the care given to find the right ski for me. Kelly was awesome on day 1, Tyler got me at the end of the day. Leia helped me the next morning, and William in the afternoon. A real team effort to help me find my “Goldilocks” ski, and I did. Great vibe, real care, just good people, good skiers, helping to make the experience easy and valuable.

William nailed it! I tried 5 skis, and his first pick was the perfect fit for me. Everyone in the shop was enthusiastic about helping me find the right powder ski for me. Alta = powder, and all of the staff in this shop know their powder skis! Best place to demo powder skis!

An Alta local ski guide thought my wife's ski boot set up could be improved and recommended we speak with Kerry in Albion. Kerry was fantastic and provided expert ski boot fitting adjustment service. I highly recommend Kerry as a boot fitter and the shop as a great place to make general purchases.

The whole team at Alta Ski Shop is amazing!! I would give them a 100 star review if possible. I had just recently had my skis tuned at another shop, but it turns out their "tune" was equivalent to turning the bases of my ski's into sandpaper with super glue on them. With the help of the ski shop I was back on the slopes in no time with freshly tuned ski's. This crew saved the day. Thank you again!

Albion my way to a different ski shop. Thanks for nothing.I (unknowingly) walked in through an unlocked door around closing time. At 5:05 the employees started complaining that they had been there all day and wanted to go home. After trying on a few hats, they asked me to make my purchase and leave. I told them to chill out because I'm standing at the register ready to purchase. After that the girl took the hat and told me to leave with no purchase. If you don't want customers to come inside, lock the door. Or, have one of the 6 employees offer assistance/give a 5 min warning. Instead, they ganged up on me and threatened me with trespassing. It was super rude. The manager seemed alright, but he needs to train his employees on customer service protocols. Will definitely ski alta again. Will definitely not ever purchase merchandise from here.

I love Alta, but I was really disappointed when I rented skis here this year. Really young kids (teenagers?) were working the ski rental line and had no idea what they were doing and didn't seem to care. The shop says you can leave your skis/poles overnight and they bring them inside... each day though, my poles had been removed and I had to ask for new ones (often that weren't the right height). I also occasionally saw staff remove poles from the skis outside to bring them in for new customers. Really disappointing.

Hoping that I’m leaving this review in the right place because this employee deserves recognition. Tried a new pair of boots on in-store at a shop in SLC and they were perfect. Went up to Alta for the first time yesterday and my boots were so uncomfortable to the point of tears. Immediately headed to the ski shop to see if anyone could help with adjustments and Peyton was a godsend! Super knowledgeable employee that was attentive and made PERFECT tweaks to my boots. His suggestion for insoles was spot on and made a world of difference.I was able to fully enjoy the rest of the day on the mountain thanks to Peyton. Seriously, ask for him!

This is Alta's demo ski shop at base next to Collins lift. They'll rent or sell any pair of demo skis they have there. The price of the ski drops after every rental. My dad got a great deal on some year old skis. Definitely worth checking out!

This used to be a great place to rent while it was mandated by Alta Sports. The new people are trying hard, but are not as good as the old ones. We have been using Alta sports for more than a decade and it is sad to see they are no longer in business.

We had a great experience demo-img skiis from this shop and eventually even purchased a couple pairs at great prices. The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable and they were very patient and helpful! Great place to try and even buy skis!

Really knowledgable and friendly people here - I didn't make it in time to drop off my skis at 5pm (got stuck at snowbird) but they were so nice about it when I dropped it off the next day. Make sure to return on time because they do close at 5pm!
