The new renovation at Alf’s offers even more beautiful views of Alta. My kids get fries, and my husband loves a good CHETO (grilled cheese sandwich with tomato). I highly recommend heading to the furthest side away from the checkout registers for the best tables with windows overlooking the runs.Kid-friendliness: Lots of food options to choose from: chips, fruit, salads, yogurts, fries, chicken tenders, hamburger/cheeseburger, build-your-own sandwich bar, hot chocolate, juices, etc—I guarantee there’s even something to please the pickiest of eaters. 👍

Pretty good food. Would recommend the excellent chili! Pricey but that’s to be expected for ski food. Only reasons this doesn’t get 5 stars is their COVID plan. Eating outside was safe (order online, pickup inside), but if you want to eat inside you have to wait in a long line that’s not social distanced, inside without ventilation, and has a lot of people without masks.

Alf's ain't cheap, but is there any on-mountain restaurant in the Rockies that is? Not that I've come across. $4 for about 6-8 ounces of coffee.But...the location is great, (right between Sugarloaf and Supreme), where you can pop in, grab something quick and be on your way.Don't sleep on the tables outside underneath the main deck. There's a bathroom that's always empty and a window where you can grab drinks. Alta is simply the best.Features: No masks required as of early 2022.

Decent sized restaurant halfway on the mountain. Serves typical ski food.

I love this ski area. It's a throwback kind of place with great skiing. If you hit it on a powder day it is just fantastic.

Good ski lodge with nice made-to-order sandwiches ($11.75) which were better than the hot options. An $11 bowl of soup felt a bit rich.

Food is a bit spendy, but typical of other resorts. Excellent sandwiches! I think they cater to a higher end clientele, so they don't cut corners. High-quality ingredients make for a more memorable eating experience.

[updated] It's all fine tasting but really $15 for huge [was large] serving of fries and $15 for a hamburger? Admittedly a burger is $16.50 at other resorts. I'll update fry data when I compare the size/cost of fries at other resorts. The bigger restaurant is plus, and handles the crowds of holidays better. Not so the line to get food. Why isn't there a grab and go? Like it's a surprise that there are 200 hungry people? We're there for the snow, give us the food quickly so we can get back out there.

Decent food for a ski area. Not a lot of options. Wish they could offer chicken on their quesadilla.

Great place to start the day off. I like to get here early, with the old timers, and grab a breakfast burrito & coffee, just enjoying the view up the mountain and getting ready for a great day on the slopes.

Would have given it 5 stars if the food was better, and it was big enough to accommodate a larger crowd indoors. As it was we had lunch outside and got to watch the game porcupine clean up visitor scraps😎

Pleasant cafeteria slopeside at Alta, near the Supreme lift. The place is bright and cheerful and less chaotic than most ski area cafeterias. The chil and soups of the day are much better than average. The staff are pleasant, the place is clean and the views are spectacular. One of the best ski area cafeterias I've experienced.

This is up on the mountain between the Supreme and Sugarloaf lifts. There is a restaurant where they serve comfort food like hot dogs and hamburgers and giant buckets of French fries and pitchers of beer. Nothing fancy but good. Prices are standard ski area high but not ridiculous. There is a ski shop with stuff you may need and also layers and Alta branded stuff which is nice.Clean and well run. It's a great place to catch your breath.

Friendly staff, pretty good food, but outrageously priced. It's no secret that food at ski resorts is extremely expensive, but $18 for a double hamburger seems a little excessive even for a ski resort. I don't think I've ever gone to a burger joint or really any restaurant for that matter that sells such an expensive burger.

This is the place I go every time when skiing at Alta and I need something to eat. Great staff and decent food.

Nice little lunch spot at alta. The food is a bit pricey, similar to what you'd find at any ski location though. They have a nice outdoor seating area if the weather cooperates. The good deal is if you buy a hot chocolate, you get a free refill on the same day.

Amazing little lodge at Alta ski area. Drank way too much beer but the burger was amazing.

Haven't eaten here yet so this only applies to the non-food sections of the restaurant. Great mid-mountain stop for a good break during the day. With Supreme now loading much closer, it's a fantastic hub with ample room and seating. However, during the busier holidays it does get a little harder to find a big table. The design is a tad outdated and some more seating is necassary during the holidays, but still my favorite ski-in ski-out restaurant in Alta.

Beautiful mountain view from deck and big/20 foot high picture windows. Large dining area. Average food. Small ski shop.January 2022. No change in operation for COVID this year except mask requirement. Food is the same.

Great sandwiches custom made. Prices are moderate for a ski mountain. Best of all is their little extras that tell customers that they're valued. Buy a hot chocolate, get a free refill. Unheard of for a ski area. I love Alta, and I love Alf's!

Great place for lunch on the hill at Alta Ski Resort near the base of sugarloaf lift. Great views of the hill and nice to kickback after shredding it up during the morning. Food is good and priced typically for a ski resort. Easy out to the lift after lunch.

This is for sure my favorite lodge up at Alta. I tried the daily special which was a bowl of Thai Red Curry with rice and was super impressed. The only gripe I have with the experience are the high prices which are pretty much guaranteed if you come up skiing. I'd totally recommend the curry if you see it on the menu but since it's a special I have no idea if it will be up there again. Other than the curry I really like the beef chilli in a bread bowl and the hot chocolate. Would totally consider coming up here if you get hungry on the slopes.

Great spot to grab a bite. The bucket of fries are huge! I hear they are expanding next year too! More space for people is needed there. It gets crowded around 11:30 AM to about 1:30 PM. Avoid those hours for lunch if you can.

About what you'd expect for a ski hill restaurant. Very expensive and is edible, but not made to impress. If I would have planned ahead, would have been just as happy with peanut butter and jelly and a granola bar that I brought myself. Obviously very convenient during a day of awesome skiing!
