Diamond R is absolutely the stop for simple, basic food, done perfectly!Biscuits grilled with butter, so crispy and yummy; scrambled eggs made to perfection; sausage not greasy but nice kick of spice; and hash browns like they’re supposed to be…all with fresh hot coffee.Get this excited about a basic breakfast?! Really? Only when it’s done perfectly so you remember how good it can be!Attentive friendly servers, interesting locals…Worth the stop!

Awesome place for a good home cooked breakfast. The biscuits were buttered then toasted, the gravy was fresh and flavorful, bacon was thick and cooked firm but not crispy, which was nice like a good ham slab, but this was bacon strips for sure. The eggs were dinner to my liking. And last but not least most important the waitress was quick, friendly, and kept up with us.

Great breakfast for under $10. Only disappointment, no decaf coffee. Grilled biscuit and hash browns were delicious. Even found parking for our truck and trailer.Parking: We were able to park our truck and 30’ trailer.

I stopped at this local diner to grab myself something to eat before I got to work at a house down the road. I entered the small diner/gas station and got the vibe of a small town, was greeted at the door with a smile from a young lady.When I went to order my food, the gentleman that took my order was kind, but firm as they were a little busy in their orders. I ordered the special of the day which was a chicken fried steak with green beans and country style mashed potato. I waited no more than ten minutes for my food. I received my food and went to my vehicle to eat. Every single bite was southern charm, and was absolutely delicious. Could not be prouder of the hard work from this little Diner

Our second visit and we will be back again. The 4 piece fish was the special and it came with the best coleslaw I have ever had. With just the right amount of pepper and shredded carrots. Very creamy and I wanted to lick the bowl. The beans were cooked with bacon, the hush puppies seasoned well, home cut fries. And their Tatar and cocktail sauce was good and seemed home made. The fish fired just right in long strips, so you get crispy in every bite. Add on the cookie, yum! Can you tell I liked the place? Go if you are near.

I have had the pleasure of eating at Diamond R numerous times over the past year… I have to say it is without a doubt one of my favorite places to eat, the service is absolutely fantastic and the food is very delectable! Loved the dinner salad I got and the service was awesome 👌 can't complain. The only thing that bothered me the tiniest bit was the decor/atmosphere of the place. Looks old and run down but the food is quality and the burgers smelled awesome (vegetarian here).Vegetarian options: They had a dinner salad avaliable along with grilled cheese with tomato.

Was greeted my Miss. MK. Was very polite, courteous and not to pushy. Let me know the special amd gave me time to look over menu. Food came out promptly and still hot. Very good atmosphere and nice little homely place. Highly recommended.Parking: Parking is a little on the small side but it is expected for small town Texas.Wheelchair accessibility: Pleant of room for Accessible wheelchairs and scooters.

Super friendly staff! We made a wrong turn in Brownwood and missed all the food so we kept going. Glad we did! We found a diamond alright. Even though it was close to closing time they were very welcoming and courteous. Their food was delicious and fresh! We will stop here again for sure.
