Brother and I popped in about 20min till closing. We asked if they still had the grill going, and the lady just told us to sit down and she would feed us. She made sure we were taken care of. The service was excellent, the burgers were phenomenal, and the price was fair. They ain't a fancy place, but they are a welcoming place, with good food.

We went there for an early dinner on a super hot day!! The food was pleasantly delicious and the service was top notch. We had the chicken tenders, steak fingers and onion rings and a salad---nothing frozen---surprised to see that everything was hand battered and seasoned well- not greasy at all. The salad was fresh too. Please consider this local diner when in Winters. It is not much to look at, but the food makes up for it, for sure!!Parking: open parkingKid-friendliness: kid friendly

Food was excellent. I had fish and my Hubby had the chicken fried steak. Fish was fresh, fries were home made and the hush puppies good. Hubby said it was the best chicken fried steak he's had. Talked to the owners, they make most everything from scratch including the tartar sauce and ranch dressing. We will definitely be back!

I ordered a Crispy Chicken Salad and it is delicious and enough for 2 meals. Bravo Lonestar, I would highly recommend this for Salad lovers. I ordered over the phone and picked up at the drive through, and had prompt friendly service. I'm ready to try the catfish. Thank you guys, I will be back.

Been here countless times and every time I or me and my family go we're given the best service, tea is on point, appetizers specially the onion rings are delicious and every burger, chicken fried steak, and catfish plate I've had have never disappointed me. If you're looking for good service and really great food, come to Lone Star Diner, Doug(if he is in) will greet ya and treat you like family. Thanks for the read!!

We’re travelling from Utah and found this place on a whim because we love little diners. Pulling up didn’t look like much, but the service was amazing from start to finish! The cooks son who took our order knew what we wanted before we did, and helped make perfect suggestions for my husband and I! There was a bit of a wait but well worth it for the fresh from scratch food! It says it’s small plates, but they were dinner sized and very good prices! Any time we come back to Texas and anyone we know coming this way will definitely be told to stop here! Thank you guys so much!

Decent food in the middle of nowhereAs is often the case when traveling, sometimes you just get hungry and find the nearest food. That's what happened here as my wife and I were on our way out of Texas to start a week-long driving vacation. As soon as Google brought us here, we thought this place was abandoned and closed. No cars anywhere. We went inside anyway.We stood there for a few minutes as the girl at the counter was on the phone. I assume taking a really long order. We were about to leave when a waitress came from the back to greet us. She let us know they were indeed open and seated us in this interesting restaurant with video and computer rentals.As the name implies, they also offer DVD & Blu-Ray rental as well as a sort of internet cafe where you can rent computer time. It's all in the same open area.Service at this point improved to average with no further complaints. We sat down, ordered food, and had a longer than expected wait for it to arrive. While waiting, we did check out some movies for rent. They've actually got a decent moderately up-to-date selection. As well as some older titles for sale. There are restrooms, but they are in the back, not well air-conditioned, rather cramped, and could use an update.In fact, the entire restaurant honestly could use an update. It's quite old and somewhat thrown together to serve multiple purposes. But it's a small town, we'll cut them some slack here.As the food itself was above average. The burger tasted fresh, well seasoned, and overall good. Tots were crispy and hot. Prices reasonable. We're not going to set any records here, but it was good.Overall, I'd say it's a good place to stop in the area for a burger and tots. Although to be honest, if you're hungry, there isn't a whole lot to choose from in town. You could certainly do worse.

Amazing. Great food. Great people. The kitchen was closed but they reopened so we could eat. Very friendly. Best cheeseburger I've had in a long time. We'll be back for sure.

Just submitted an update to Google. They close at 9pm instead of 10pm on Fridays and Saturdays. Hope that clears stuff up with everyone. (Edit: 2nd Aug 2019 - was told they close at 9pm. Got my order to go instead of staying because it appeared that everyone wanted to leave. Was really hoping to stay, but I guess their families there are part of the family that works there... They was giving me the snake eyes when I opened up my drink as if I didn't know they close at 9pm. I had a very long day at work and I don't need any drama! I left my open drink, grabbed my food, and ran out of there. I may come back, but I'll know better than to trust Google maps for hours!) (Edit #2: This place does produce some really good food. The Joey burger is my favorite with tater tots smothered with melted cheese. Add some Tabasco sauce and you've got the best fire burger you'll ever had from a small town Restaurant! I mainly come there for the Joey Burger. Today I got fish, and it was a good change of pace. Still... Snake-Eyes... I can't get over the fact I wasn't suppose to be there... the look that says "Why are you still here?" I know they're just kids, but I'm sure they are doing that because their parents won't! Parents are more professional, but thier kids made me feel uneasy about being a customer.) (My suggestion, if you see a few kids running around in the restaurant, it's probably best to come at a different time of day. After 20th of August, things will probably get better as school starts.)(I'll try again after school starts. P.S. was coming 2 times a week following the past 2 weeks. I was starting to become a regular. I just thought after this event it was best to let the public know what's really going on.) (Edit after the owner response: The manager was telling the video players she was out of "points" for that night. So it is closing at 9pm for that day.)

Very good, husband was happy with the food and he is a picky eater, I had the tacos and they were good kids had a kids burger and they were happy with it. I recommend it good food and good prices 👍

I have to say their food is good but the bathrooms not so pretty and when I walked in it smelled like cigarette smoke some tables were very nasty but then again the food was pretty good and had to wait almost 10mins and all the soft drinks were out of order
