What a terrific little grocery store. I frequently travel back and forth between Galveston and Louisiana. I almost always stop here. They have a great little deli, clean bathrooms, and deal throughout the store. Last time I got 2 2 liter bottles of cherry sprite for $3. Way cheaper than a gas station. I also picked up some of their fried chicken. The people are super friendly and the locals are also nice. One such local gave me a thumbs up and rolled down his window and said, "good job" as I was collecting a cart to take it into the store with me. I worked at a grocery store like this in Shelley Idaho way back in 1986; so I guess this establishment evokes a lot of nostalgia. At least now the pay isn't $3.35 an hour like it was back then. Anyway, this is a great little place. Sign up for the card and get even more discounts.

I called on 04/01/2024 regarding an Ad item ending 04/02/2024. Customer service was polite and helpful. My call went to the manager Richard. Professional, kind, and took the time to see if the coffee my Dad needed was still available. It was about 7 pm. I was 45 minutes away but would be there before 10 pm. He offered to keep what I needed up front with my name on the bag. I wanted at least ten boxes but only six were available. Community Dark French Roast coffee is popular. The only place you can find it is at Market Basket. It is worth the drive! Well, when I arrived the bag was there with my name on the bag! This is what I call, great customer service!!! It is so important and hard to find!!!! Thank you, Richard!!!!!

Unique old US charm grocery.Small town charm exists with a good selection of items and bakery items.They sell parking stickers for near by beaches.They have a good selection of flowers as well.

I've been to this location on a number of occasions and have never had a bad experience. The employees are always friendly, prices reasonable, and the store is clean and stocked. The floral department is really good too! I'll definitely stop here again.

I watched an episode of a you tuber called Lamont on the Run who spoke very meanly to some of the staff there about your store and I want to say from my perspective the store seems well organized and well stocked. Staff seem friendly and hard working. His remarks were very uncalled for for someone who is just passing through. Keep up the hard work from one grocery worker to another.

This is the place to get your parking passes for Bolivar/ Crystal Beach! You can probably get them somewhere else but if you want to find the nicest staff and most helpful people in Winnie…this Market Basket is the place to go! They have all the extra to make your beach trip a fun one! The Manager was very helpful also! We also caught a picture of some beautiful scenery just outside of Winnie on the way to Crystal Beach.

Went there the other day and the cashier turned out her light after she started checking out my groceries. When she got through, she took my money, she closed her register and walked off and didn’t even bother to get my few groceries off the rack. They need to teach some customer service skills.

I think the place is filthy and do not use the MB2go here. I've had to wait over 30 minutes several times to get my groceries. They don't bring you everything you ordered, you have to watch them close if you order anything from the deli. Way more expensive than pretty much any other option. We only go here if we have to. Meat and produce sections are also sketchy on quality most of the time. Oh and the guy loading my groceries yesterday that took forever to get "2 phone calls to the store and 2 trips for him" proceeded to pick his nose in front of me after he had just loaded my groceries.

I love this store. Always clean and friendly staff. We stop here on our way to Crystal beach also stay at Hampton when going to trade days. They do have a shopping card that you can sign up for to get extra discounts on items. I am not sure why all the negative comments Yes they are more expensive than Walmart or Kroger but we dont want to pack that stuff up before we get there.

Market basket has pretty much everything you need but its the only grocery store in town and they definitely take advantage of that and charge the highest possible dollar amount they can. The employees are super nice and friendly and if the lines are long, another cashier will open another register so you don't have to wait as long. They carry good brands and have their own personal brand but everything is still pretty expensive.

They have a decent selection of stuff. Their meats are not the best but ok. Pricing is a little high. Not enough good sales. This is the closest grocery store to my house have been shopping there for twenty years. Get the card they have. It will save money if you shop there enough

Great customer service. Like all M.B. locations they don't have the selection of some larger chains. But what they lack in verity they make up for with location. In Winnie you'd have to drive to Beaumont for your groceries if not for them.

Great Store. Very not e selection of items for home or beach. They have fishing equipment, lines & hooks etc. Food is great in the Deli and they have a good selection of meats. The dairy section is superb - large & wide brand selection of yogurt. Overall this is a great store with a very nice group of people working there to help you find what you need. If they don’t carry it. You can ask a store manager if they can carry it for you to buy and there’s a very good chance they will if they can. You can’t beat that kind of service.

I had previously rated this at 4 stars.I dropped the rating because after numerous trips, it became apparent that the only way to get a decent price is to hold one of those loyalty cards, otherwise the place is way overpriced. I do not like loyalty cards. The stores that rip off customers that may just be passing through irks me. Also, once upon a time stores were loyal to customers, not the other way around. I'll be travelling to save substantial money without being required to hold a card that they can track under the guise of some bs loyalty program.Also I previously bragged on the quality of their produce. The last 3 times I bought fruit it was absolutely terrible. Literally shucked corn to find it rotten.I only go there now when I absolutely have to.Enjoy selling me toilet paper on an emergency only basis from now on Market Basket, because otherwise your loyalty rip off program cost you my business.

It's really clean my only concern is the produce section. It seems like it's not monitored closely since I've seen a lot of produce that aren't suitable to be sold but are still on display. Maybe I just usually come by at the wrong time of the day. I also wish there's more options on meat section, there are times when certain cuts are available but more oftentimes they're not.

Convenient location. Helpful staff. Deli has excellent food and meat department has some of the best handmade smoke sausage. I go to Market Basket for most of my daily needed items. Prices are competitive as well. This particular store even has fishing equipment and other outdoor necessities.

Usually I'm a happy shopper but today I'm not. Bought several items on clearance which were clearly marked but cashier was in a hurry and would not listen when ringing them up and when I got home my receipt showed over charged on several items. Please remind him to slow down.

Market is clean and neat. Employees are friendly and helpful. Shelves are well stocked. Most prices are reasonable. Sometimes the produce could be better quality, but overall, it's a great hometown place to shop🙂

Haven't been in this store for years. It was pretty busy, but I didn't have to wait that long. The store smelled like fried chicken. Made me want it! Stuck to my shopping list and headed out.
