Loved the store till the self checkout went into effect. 6pm rush they'll have 1 checkout open and try to force you to use the self checkout which I don't want to use. Please do better and open some checkout registers and stop forcing the self checkout.

I have purchased gas twice now from this store and the price I paid was much higher then the advertised sign at the location. I have complain and been lied to. Check your receipts people PLEASE!! This is a total scam on us but I intend on doing all I can to putting a stop to it..

I liked the products here, but I'm giving it 2 stars: hear me out.I loved the deli salad I got, but... I found a bug? And he was small, but I don't like that salad topping at all. His legs fell off in my food when I tried to pick him out, and I almost didn't notice him which made me wonder how many salads had how many bugs, and how many legs per bug I've eaten. Idk if that's a thing they'd try to compensate people for, but it isn't a pleasant experience.Additionally, virtually all of their products can be purchased in hillsboro, 20 min away, at a fraction of the price, and everyone I've spoken to agrees that they can afford to charge more here only because it's inconvenient to drive to the brookeshires there.The pros: I've never had an issue with that staff, and the layout is nice and intuitive, so it's easy to find products. The few products that they have and others don't are good quality and I've liked most of what I've purchased.Bottom line: I might change my rating if I have better experiences there in future, but between the prices and the insects, I'm not thrilled right now.

went in today to see if I could order a last minute cake, and they help me so much. A big thank you to Tara for making the cake for me, you was such a sweetheart for it to be last min cake. They help me event tho you have to pre order the cake 24 hour before the party , but they did it for me anyways.also thank you to Rhonda for helping me get the cake order. Y’all ladies are the best.

A great local grocery store! Produce is always top notch, and they have great specials on quality meat. I don't know what we would do without them. Just look at their parking lot, it's always full.

Not a bad little grocery store in the middle of nowhere. They have a little of everything. I was glad to see a decent selection of craft beer and wine. We got pretty much everything we needed except liquid eyeliner. Definitely stop if you’re passing by.

They have a fair selection of items, just a little more pricey when compared to other grocery stores. The self check out lanes have made trips 10 times faster though.

This is a wonderful market, people are friendly, prices are good, join club and prices are even better. Market is clean. For a small town this is a great place to shop.

Brookshires has brought a thief to Whitney in the form of Walgreens pharmacy. $88 dollars for Flowmax generic verius $ 17 dollars at other Walgreens

Out of towner shopping for a few items. Cashier checking out customer as I got in line. Told me he was closed nothing open except self check out with a line. Not a good look Brookshires.

Ordered an order on curbside. Have done this through various other places before. They accidentally missed a bag of chicken. I called up there since we live right down the road and was going to see if I could come back to get it. The lady who answered the call initially gave the phone to the girl who picked the order. The girl proceeded to tell me, she “Picked the order” and “specifically remembers” putting them in the back of my husbands truck. Literally not in the back of the truck. We got 3 bags and a case of water. We couldn’t miss it. I went out to the truck to double check with her on the phone and it was not there. She proceeded to tell me how crazy it was because she put it in the truck and remembers doing it. Not sure why she thinks I’d steal some chicken…..after I got ugly with her she got the point. We won’t be back after this. Very disappointed with their customer service.

I read most of the reviews and was very confused with the criticism directed towards the employees. A lot of them are young and may not have the experience because that's something that takes time. Customers should be appreciative of the fact that these young adults are responsible enough to get a job. No body is perfect especially nit-picking Customers who can't seem to overlook minor insignificant flaws without judging themselves first. So if these complainers who don't like shopping here because they feel too privileged, shouldn't be living in a small town.

I live in Hill county now. And before I moved I lived in Johnson county. On Alvarado Texas.. Where I shopped at Brookshires. ,and now that I am staying in Hill County l go to Whitney Texas to the Brookshire to do my shopping there. I like there prices, I like there fresh produce, and farm raised meats. There is nothing to complain about the store. All employees are nice and always polite.

While most of the employees are amazing in their departments, the management staff has shown they are not so friendly. They have decided during a heat wave that the food provided by customers for a local stray known as Whitney should be thrown away. Dishes purchased by employees and customers should be tossed out because it may bring in rodents. A stray dog has taken up residence, and while several people have attempted to rescue her, the store is no longer allowing people to feed her or give her water.So much for compassion.

Very small and thus, a more limited selection of food items. Very nice and organized with a great staff. I found the prices a little bit higher than others but they are the only convenient place around. The pharmacy is a big plus. They do have a senior's program and a points program for fuel discounts. However, they do not have diesel fuel.

I had not shopped the Whitney store for 2 years, since my vehicle was burglarized in broad daylight by some hoodlum. I requested the camera footage and they refused stating I had to be law enforcement, well , I AM A STATE MARSHAL, and Jason still refused to give me a copy of the video for my investigation purposes. I recently shopped there and was treated with respect by Jason, but he remembered me, wouldn't look me in the eyes. Moral for this story - don't leave valuables in your vehicle, don't leave it unlocked etc.

The store is nice but now they only have one or maybe 2 checkout lanes that aren't self checkout with 5 or more people in line and they say they can't open anymore. If you're going to treat your customers like Walmart I'll start shopping there where the prices are better.
