Another great local bar and grill in East Texas. Plenty of room for big parties. The bar area is cozy. Great selection of beers. Probably the best selection of Mexican beers around, including Victoria made by Modelo. The fried chicken sandwich is very good. The batter has a great flavor. The chicken was perfectly cooked, hot and juicy. The potato soup was full of flavor. Love the bean dip with chips. We could have used a little more of the bean dip with the amount of chips you get. Can't wait to hang out on the patio when the weather cools off.

Went here on a beautiful spring evening. Food was very good and the drinks were great. Staff very friendly despite being very busy. Sat outside during the sunset and the vibes were great. When it got chilly they rolled over an outdoor heater to keep us comfortable. Great place to go in Whitehouse.Kid-friendliness: Big tables with roomy outdoor option for kids.

Great place - Came in from Fort worth to enjoy ETX with some old friends I hadn't seen in a year and it was perfect. Only downer was they happen to be out of the ingredients to make my first 2 cocktail choices but the staff was very friendly/accommodating about it. The old fashioned I ended up ordering was wonderful so it all worked out! Now I just want to go back to try the whiskey/rosemary drink!

Went here 5 years ago and decided now to give it a try. Called, they said no wait at 6:15 pm on a Friday night. Cool! Show up get seated. Order.....45 mins later no food. When we did get it at 7:28 it was cold or bland or nasty. Lots of servers. Looks like maybe a place for drinks. Food underwhelming and over priced. Had steak tacos, the steak dinner, kids quesadillas, and kids hamburger. I would highly recommend to pass this one up. The other Montez reasturants live up to the hype. Just not this one. 100 dollars later and I am eating buttered toast at home. Not to mention the nasty wanna be A 1 sauce on the steak? Why? Just please why?

Sticky and unreadable menu's. Do not be fooled by the Montez name! Worse Mexican food I have ever had. Tasteless, salsa was like pace salsa, guacamole was NOT homemade. Queso out of a can! Cisco foods! Spicy Margarita was so hot you couldn't drink it! Very very disappointing after hearing how great it is! We were here on Saturday night. It should be their best foot forward!

Ate here for the first time yesterday. Was not very happy with the experience. Our waiter was fine but everything else was horrible. We went at three because the website started happy hour started then. Only to be told it doesn't start till four. They refused to honor it. Prices on the website are different than what's on the menu. They need to update this because it's completely false advertising. The only good thing at had was the French fries. My husband's Mahi Mahi was dry and over cooked. My sons shrimp still had the trails on and the rice was over cooked and hard in places. My burger the pork was over cooked and chewy. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. It was our first and our last time here. For how busy they stay and the prices they charge I was surprised by how horrible the food was.

10/28, We came in here to have food and drinks and watch the Rangers in the world series. We were having a great time enjoying the atmosphere our waiter was amazing. We ordered around of shots for everybody at the table and we all took our drink and my date pull something out of her mouth and it was a dead fly. Told the waiter the waiter went and told the bartender the bartender then told I guess the either manager or the owner. He comes over to the table and he flat out tales my date that he does not believe her whatsoever that this fly came out of their drinks. Now we have no reason to lie or even to cheat, but to come to our table and call us a liar when she literally pulled the fly out of her mouth and put it in the cup. Also the drinks pretty expensive, they classify Deep eddies vodka as top shelf?! Now our waiter Joshua was amazing if you want to have a great time this man should be your waiter. This is our second time coming here our first time it was really great The second time wasn't all that great My experience if you're going to go there don't drink just eat their food that's it

My husband planned a surprise birthday party for me here, and the place was a great. The service, waitresses, food, the managers,(Angela, Gloria & Omar) all were so pleasant and helpful.Everything was set up so nicely.This was our first time there, but it will not be our last! Absolutely horrible place. We went to celebrate my son's birthday. We were looking forward to drinks and spending time together. We ordered food and wasn't told for 2 hrs they were out of the food we ordered. Then our drinks took forever and came out hot. They said they were just super busy for a Monday . So why punish us. We had a party of 11. And none of us will ever be back!!! Don't take a group if you expect to be served or even get to eat. 3 hrs later we paid out ticket and left.

This place was fantastic! I had raw oysters as my appetizer and they were so fresh you could taste the sea. My pulled pork with cabbage was good and the blavk bean dip was good too. My husband had the chicken which was smothered on onions was excellent! If you have a tender stomach you might like to tell them to keep the onions to a minimum.

Had my wife’s birthday party at Creekside last night. It was amazing! Omar was very accommodating and helped in the planning process. When we got there, Taylor and the other staff made the night perfect! Very attentive and friendly. Thank you all so much for making the night special for our family and friends! The food was fantastic as well but the staff is what really made the difference!
