Up till today I really thought this was a good place with good people but after today I will never think of taking any of my fur babies there ever again. Fortune was an American bully but my daughter and back in august she died and I was here in Alaska on work . My wife and kids were home so my wife told me that morning when I called so I had to figure out how we would get her buried . I call the this place which we have been visiting since we moved to Whitehouse and asked of how they could assist and I was told about a city cemetery that she would be buried in so I paid over the phone and a few hours later when my wife could get the kids out of the house she wrapped her up and took her there. And they took her in. Now as of today my wife called to get the cemeteries info so we could put in a head stone and we were told she was disposed of . I lost my grandmother and my baby within a month of each other and I am just now getting back to being a normal in gaged person and just to be destroyed by the fact that someone lied to me . I would of never sent her there . I could had family come bury her in my back yard. Never again will my babies go here for sure .

Words can not express how professional and loving Dr Jay and her staff are. My girl of almost 10 years had to be put to sleep but I can not thank Dr Jay and her staff enough for their compassion and everything they did to keep her comfortable during this rough time. I had a horrible time at this place! I brought my dog to get groomed and told her what I want and she ruined him! I have a doodle and she completely shaved him! He was not to be shaved! I will never come here again they were rude and obnoxious! She dismissed me and didn’t want to listen when I told them not to shave him! They don’t care about how I felt! She charged me more than what she told me! Bad service and horrible outcome! Trust me you don’t want to go here if you care about your dogs!!

Azalea has the most polite young ladies from the front door to the back door. They always so polite and professional. They give me friendly reminders and sometime as a customer we need that reminder. Dr Jay performed emergency surgery on my baby Friday. I was a nervous wreck and very upset to see my baby not well. She was very compassionate, patient and so very kind. She made sure I fully understood all my options and thoroughly explained the procedure to me. I cannot recommend her enough.

We took our 4 yr old dog to see Dr. Jay as he had dislocated his hip. We were definitely the worried parents and she was so great with us. In fact the entire staff was, they made sure we both had a chance to give another pat before walking him back as he had to stay the night for his surgery. Which by the way he had never been boarded before. When I called to check on him they didn’t just say “he’s doing great” they said “he’s doing great BUT let me go lay eyes on him as well”. She did a wonderful job and walked us through his recovery. They were very quick to answer any and ALL questions we had be it in the office or via text.

I LOVE THIS PLACE! I wish I could give more than 5 stars. My terrier mix has always had skin issues because of her allergies, and Dr. Jay and staff fixed her right up! The receptionist is always so nice, and the staff is sweet and gentle with my fur baby. Prices are reasonable and the doctor answered all my questions about medications and skin allergies. Super knowledgable and friendly people!!!

My 11 year old puppy started feeling bad over the weekend. By Monday he was a miserable guy. We moved to Whitehouse last year and have not needed a vet before now. I called Azalea and got in right away. Our visit was quick and mostly pain free. He hurt his back, possibly has some arthritis, and he has some dental issues that we will address in a few weeks. Dr. Jay prescribed pain medication and steroids. The staff was amazing from the moment we walked in the door. The prices are quite reasonable. I’m hoping he will be back to good in a few days. If not, I know they will see him in again if necessary.Thank you for taking such good care of our fur baby. When he’s not happy, we are not happy!!

I took my kitty in because he was panting a lot and also has a stinky butt so I requested his anal glands be secreted.The vet told me he’s just fat. Put him on a diet and he will be able to clean himself better.Refused to express his anal glands.Here we are several weeks later and his smell has gotten so bad I can smell it just from him walking past the room. The outside of his butt is clean. It’s the glands.Thanks for nothing.** I have not received any communication from you since the appointment and I haven’t reached out because I don’t trust your judgement. Will be seeking treatment elsewhere. Was a waste of $65 for you to tell me my cat is fat and send me on my way.

Definitely DO NOT recommend this place, not even to my enemies.I called to set a grooming appointment for my mini Australian shepherd. I let them know she had never been there before, I also let them know that she has a permanent vet but they were booked and couldn’t get her in for several weeks. They told me that for grooming (bath, anal glands, nail trim, hair trim) it would be $57.00 flat.After I picked up Heidi from their office, I was billed 116.53 because they charged me $59.00 for an exam which is just where they establish care and dog meets the doctor.🙄 I NEVER was told about this when I called in to make the appointment, I was also never told about it when I took her in. I never consented to the additional $59.00 that I was charged, I was also never told about an exam. Just said that for grooming it would be $57.00 flat and that if they needed her shot records, they’d pull them from her primary vet.I tried to get the $59.00 reimbursed and the doctor refused and told me that “establishing care is their policy” that may be your policy but doesn’t mean that I was informed about an exam or an up charge of $59.00 or if had waited until my dogs primary vet, Dr. Foster could have gotten her in.Then the doctor on the phone kept saying “I’m sorry for the confusion”.Ma’am, there’s no confusion. I understand perfectly clear. I was quoted $57.00 but was billed $116.00 because you charged me a bogus up charge that I never consented to and never agreed to.She could have reimbursed me, just didn’t want to. Wouldn’t take accountability for her vets part in this.Just really annoying, I am frustrated. I will NEVER go here again.And to make matters worse.Heidi is clean, her hair is clean, she smells great, I can tell her nails were trimmed, but her hair looks the exact same. I brought her home from getting groomed and she looks like she still needs grooming as far as hair cut/ trim.If you ever use this place, be smart and pay up front so they can’t add additional charges.Now I’m out $60.00

This is a great Veterinarian hospital. We moved to Whitehouse 2 years ago from DFW and through trial and error found Azalea Animal Hospital. They have always been able to get me in the same day I call, as long as I call early enough. The staff are always kind and loving towards my animals.The best part is the fast service. I’ve taken a cat and dog in at the same time and spent under 45 mins in the clinic. They do a great job at diagnosing and suggesting multiple treatment plans. The vet never pushes you to do one thing or another. I don’t ever feel pressured to do multiple testing or multiple treatment plans like other vets in Whitehouse.Highly recommend this place for all your cat and dog care. Price wise, they seem to be a tad more than what I’m use to paying in DFW but not outrageously more expensive. Reasonable prices compared to other vets in the area, we’ll worth it for the service and care you get.

I dropped off my three fur babies at Azalea at 8:00am. They were going in for shots and grooming. I picked them up at 2:00pm. I paid them $500.00+ for some shots and grooming (1 dog didn’t get any shots only grooming and I still paid over $500.00). I carried them to my car upon leaving. Upon arriving home, I found one of my dogs was not using her back leg. Her hip was swollen, she was limping, lifting her leg entirely - and immediately ran to hide under the couch. All of which was not her normal character, and keep in mind that she was not doing this when I dropped her off. I called the vet and we went back right away. There was zero delay. They take her back for 2 min, come back and tell me it is arthritis and they are going to give me an anti inflammatory. Keep in mind she didn’t have arthritis when going in at 8:00am and wasn’t limping. The additional kicker - THEY CHARGED ME FOR THE MEDICINE! The medicine my dog did not need before going into their establishment. My dog now has something wrong with her, and because I spent $500+ I cannot take her for a second opinion, but I know it isn’t “arthritis”. I will not be going back, and just want to warn others before taking their voiceless babies there.

They were so nice!! I called and said my dog was nervous and asked if I could wait in my car, they let us wait until they had a room ready and came and got us. Everyone had a smile on the their and were so sweet to my scared dog. Definitely going to go back!

We are so thankful for Dr. Rannals and his team for providing our dachshund with such quality and efficient care when his little back became injured. We were able to get scheduled immediately for our emergency, and were surprised with how calm our high-anxiety boy was while being examined. He (and we!) knew he was in good hands! Dr. Rannals also was so kind to fully explain course of action and treatment and answer all of our questions. Could not recommend this office enough!
