We had our dog spayed here. Everything leading up to the operation was fine, good service and all. After that it was downhill. Our dog got very sick and wouldn't eat, and it turns out that the clinic forgot to give us one of the medications we paid for. They were also very dismissive about our questions regarding aftercare, one blonde even blowing my question off saying "It's all covered in the aftercare pamphlet." Which is extremely rude. I'm not interested in your pamphlet, I wanted answers face to face.

Took my siamese Dós there after he was JUST released from a different vet for another possible urinary blockage...Thank God he wasn't but on a Sunday I was met at the clinic promptly and the doctor started immediately assessing my baby....he explained EVERYTHING so well and went above and beyond to calm me while coming up with a better medical plan for Dós. Pricing was very affordable and I'd use them again in a heartbeat

The vet assistants are the most caring and compassionate people around. They treat your babies like you would. I was very impressed with their professionalism and real caring about the animals. You just know this isn't just a job for them. I'm very grateful to them for caring for Sugar Bear.

We had an after hours traumatic emergency that resulted in us having to euthanize one of my dogs. I was heartbroken and at a complete loss. The doctor was extremely compassionate and took his time explaining the process and allowing us ample time to mentally prepare. He was so gentle with her and loving. He made a horribly difficult situation a little better. I highly recommend this clinic.

I had an episode of one-leg lameness in my Arabian mare today. The mare was diagnosed with acute laminitis two months ago and had been making excellent progress in recovery. Dr. Davang was able to do a farm call this afternoon, and she diagnosed the lameness as due to laminitis. That quick response and diagnosis caused me to change the mare's turnout routine and diet. No doubt these changes will get her back on the path to full recovery.

My Kitten Lucas was taken to this vet clinic by the Wharton county police department after an arrest that occurred due to an unfortunate series of events that were not only unforeseen, but apparently unavoidable considering the police promised to let my husband and I go on our way as long as we cooperated. We did only as asked by the officers....Anyways, after getting out a few days later by the grace of God, finding and paying for our car which had been impounded, and of course becoming completely broke after that, we went to locate poor little Lucas, who didn't deserve any of this, no matter who's fault!I was denied my kitten without payment, that I didn't and still don't have. They told me that I had to either pay or they would euthanize 2 month old Lucas! They are charging $30 per day and refusing to even adopt him out. He is a sweet and loving kitten who doesn't deserve to be discarded because the police lied! They instructed me to sit in the vehicle with my kitten while they checked id's, but instead of releasing us, they took us to jail, and after booking us, they were laughing about the "cat situation" and arguing over who was going to deal with it because neither of the liked cats at all!!! My heart is broken and I am outraged!I want my kitten back, but id someone else can afford to get him out and can take batter care of him, he deserves a loving home, not a death sentence in the beginning of his life, for being an innocent kitten in the wrong place at the wrong time!

They gave my dog too much anesthesia. They never test her blood and now she has kidney failure, and slowing dying! Now I have to put her down! All over a Neuter procedure!! Smh

Very caring but didn’t spend much time evaluating my cat who isn’t fond of vets (what pet is?). Gave me one option for her issue, and no instructions on how to give her the liquid medicine. Also, the groomer is hard to get an appointment with and seems more experienced with dogs. The pet spa/housing is great for our needs on vacation but expensive.

My dog was attacked on 11/3. I rushed him to this clinic being that they were the closest to me. The doctor evaluated him. He said his stool was bloody because he was swallowing blood from his mouth. They did an x-ray and ultrasound (apparently) and doctor said he didn’t see anything broken or anything to be worried about. He prescribed him meds. He should be better in two days..He wasn’t. So I took him in for a second opinion elsewhere. They took his blood & did the same scans the Wharton clinic says they did… However, this vet actually took the time to go over the results with me. I could clearly see a broken rib on one side & a fracture on the other. His kidney levels were so high, they believed they were trying to shut down. They referred me to Gulf Coast Specialist where my dog spent 5 days getting the treatment he should have.If I would’ve took the Wharton doctors word, my dog would be dead now.

Amazing staff. Seriously. I have a German Shepard puppy in for a Spay, she's highly anxious when away from me. Super skittish. They handled her with calmness and compassion. I plan to bring her in periodically for bathsl/grooming.

Have had nothing but great experiences here. We have a very expensive bucking bull stock that always gets the best of care from Wharton Vet Clinic! We have also used them for our dogs as well. Cannot say enough good things about Dr Pohler and Dr Janke. They have always gone above and beyond.

All they want is money, did not really answer my questions also wanted like an extra 200$ for dewormer and nexgusrd for a 35 pound dog. Also the original 231$ for annual and rabies and 5 and 1 . But they can’t answer questions I mean I am asking if I can give my dog something and they couldn’t answer

Heard my cat hissing; so I opened the back door worried that something happened, just to see the vet lady throw my cat in her cage. She claimed she didn’t throw her and that she but her. To see that my cat is almost 20 years old, she is fragile and the woman said she tried to get blood through her leg. She claimed also that my cat bit her, but there were no bite marks. Plus, my cat is very loving being her age. Never going for a long time

Im new to wharton so I brought my 2 service dogs here to update shots and my lab was having ear problem they charged me almost a $1000 said they where running tests never got any results of said test but was fully charged for it the antibiotics I was charged for where way over priced the flea and tic didn't work my dog's still got fleas and had to order from Amazon I recommend a different vet for your animals unless you like being overcharged

I am never one to post negative reviews, I understand that people have bad days and my expectations may not always be met; however, I am dumbfounded by the results I received at Wharton Veterinary Clinic. Our dog was suffering with some stiffness and I agreed to do what it took to find out what was causing her discomfort. We ran blood tests which had results that the vet was unable to understand to provide diagnoses. We agreed to keep her over night on fluids and to run more tests. After the second batch of tests were ran, we were informed they could not help us and to send her to a specialist. After sending her to a specialist, they had to rerun the tests because the results were not sent as they should have been by Wharton. The bottom line is after spending thousands of dollars, we still do not know what is wrong with our dog. If Wharton did not have the skill set to determine what may be the cause of the her problems, then why did they continue to run tests and charge us. We were also charged for tests already ran because they failed to send the results to the specialist. We received absolutely no information for the money we spent there.
