We are ecstatic to have found this place. For years we have gone to the bakery off the highway and we will probably never go back to that one after finding The Pizza House. This restaurant and bakery has a small and cozy atmosphere. The restaurant offers many food options including pizzas, pastas, sandwiches, shrimp, Reuben, sausage and sauerkraut and more. Today we tried the “Poopy’s Special” -a chicken fried chicken sandwich with cheese, sautéed veggies, and hot sauce and chicken fried chicken which came with a salad and choice of fries, tater tots, or onion rings. Both of our plates left us full and delighted. The service today lacked organization, but it seemed there was one waitress for the entire restaurant and there was a large group of 10+ and other patrons also. On the other hand the bakery has a wide variety of baked goods to choose from. Everything looks so good. We ended up buying a few boxes of the the day old baked goods and a man Italian cream cheese cinnamon roll. The cinnamon rolls are MASSIVE and d come in many flavors. Fair pricing on everything in the bakery and restaurant. Love it here!

Family owned business.Family does work there & is involved in day to day business.I've always had great service, great food, great cold drinks whether it be tea or a beer.Atmosphere is pleasant. Other Patrons are friendly.Pizza & any of the other food on the menu is a good reason to enjoy a meal there.I don't have a picture of the menu..... but when i go back that way i will get one & post it.Kid-friendliness: Family friendlyWheelchair accessibility: Easy in & out for wheelchairs, walkers, kids, etc

Ordered the Czech pizza, which is mustard, kraut, Czech sausage, and cheddar cheese. It's AMAZING! If you don't think you like kraut, give this pizza a try, cause I'll bet it changes your mind. I also got a cherry cream cheese roll on my way out at the recommendation from the waitress. The thing is as big as my hand and delicious to boot! Great yeasty flavor in the dough, set off perfectly by tart cherries and sweet cream cheese. A pleasant surprise to be sure.

After being served our drinks, we needed a few more minutes to decide what we wanted to order, took waitress forever to take our order. Brought our order, never came back to check on us. Ask for our ticket, she said it was at the counter and to tell the cashier which table we were sitting at and she'd take our money. Well, the cashier was the only 1 to serve pasties to everyone at the pastry counter and to check out everybody that was trying to pay for their meal also. People standing in line with to go orders getting cold, and with a mob of people at the pastry counter it took 20 minutes to get our meal paid for. Not sure if this was a normal day as how they do that, but I believe they need another person to do pastry orders and let the cashier just check the customers out and not have to attend to getting pastry orders also.Parking: No enough parking for the business they have.

This place is a hidden gem! Loads of food for extremely reasonable prices and they added a bakery! Highly recommend stopping by to check them out if you’re ever in this area. We had the popcorn and jumbo fried shrimp and that big fried thing is their skunk egg which is delicious and worth trying out.

Food selection was great. Superb bread around sausage link. Had to heat up the rolls in microwave myself, surve myself coffee, get my own fork & knife.Decor was nastalgic, but comfortable.Wait staff was very loud talking and amusing themselves, self-absorbed, hanging around the kitchen door with little action toward the guest. Not a good dinning experience, but good for a quick bite and take a break from driving.

We have found a new favorite place to get pizza. The crust is awesome. We never knew this place was here as it is not right on the highway. Just a short drive away from the craziness of the places right on I35 is a wonderful little place to get Pizza and much more. And if you are looking for those tasty little treats that West is know for, you can find them here without the insane lines and they rival what you will find elsewhere.

The best bakery in West, they are the last bakery to make everything by hang. Also the pizza is very good and beer is really cold! Skip the 2 on the highway and make a stop here!

Great Pizza and their kolaches are bigger and better than those found just off IH35 😉.Worth the drive a few blocks. They have a full menu other than pizza along with cold beer 🍺. Friendly folksWe will be back to try other menu items.

The chief salad was big enough for the $ for sure. I couldn't finish it. Butt they put Sour pickles on it for some reason, the meat was hot (very odd), and NO croutons 😔

This was in the top 5 pizza places I’ve been toI highly recommend it. The wings are no joke they have plenty of meat perfectly cooked with a nice crispness. Our waiter Cody was very attentive and courteous. I’ve always said if the food is good but bad service I won’t return but this place hit home runs all the way through.Thank you Cody and the chef sorry didn’t the chef’s name.

If your ever on I-35 coming up to a small town in central Texas called West, people will tell you Kolaches and West go hand on hand. Well, I'm here to tell you Gerik's makes a pretty mean pizza pie. Not greasy on the bottom, crispy crust, plenty of toppings at a reasonable price. I've had pizza on the west coast, I've had pizza on the east coast, these guys are right up there with them. These guys nailed it. The staff is super friendly, always ready to fill your cup. And the great thing about this place, is not just pizza. I'll definitely be returning.
