This place is usually cleaner than I saw it today but still a great place to stop. Hot food, donuts and big selection of snacks. Has a seating area to eat. For truckers, the parking is good. Lot is in good shape and the local PD is through here often. Clean and safe.

i’m a regular customer from Live oak county want to say i walked in Friday evening and saw the deli AMAZING everything was nice and full and i hvent seen it  like that in a long time .. Good Job deli!!!!!!

Very nice and clean. Women's restroom is really nice, clean too. Coffee area could use a little wipe down. Speaking of coffee....packets of sugar and creamer, no pour bottles. Time consuming to doctor your coffee up with packets. Saw their advertisements for churro donuts, wanted some badly!! THEY HAD NONE! Really disappointed so I knocked a star off. Don't advertise something your not going to carry on a daily basis. The food in the deli looked delicious! Nice selection of stuff to shop but again....NO CHURRO DONUTS THIS 23rd DAY OF JANUARY 2018. I may cry about it lol

The restrooms are absolutely abysmal. The corner of one of the toilet stalls had a whole cubic foot of used toilet paper as well as having a chunk of feces on the wall. The store part is fine though

I have to give a good thank you of appreciation to this gentleman who noticed all I had to put in gasv and he was kind enough to add a dollar and make it even enough for me. It was an act of kindness and that is a great quality to have in an employee as well as a person. May he have a wonderful Thanksgiving holiday. God and the great guardians bless him and his loved ones.

Jennifer (red shirt, big lashes) is the rudest worker we have ever experienced. Several customers were heard voicing their concerns regarding her awful attitude today (8/13/23). We stopped 8/12 for some coffee on the way to San Antonio and she gave us waiting in line for the rooms to be cleaned the rudest attitude and face. Today, exact same thing. Why put someone so awful in charge? She also walked into the men’s restroom with no announcement, no “woman coming in” as men were using the urinal. Tex Best travel center, hire better.

No issues with this place. We have been coming here for a few years on our trips to and from South Texas. Bathrooms are consistently okay. Not the cleanest, not the dirtiest. Coffee area is only as clean as the people who were getting coffee, which in the morning there were a lot of people and most of them were slobs. My 8 year old daughter got two donuts and said they were really good. Had lots of breakfast options that looked pretty appetizing. Coffee is ground and steeped right there from a machine and was actually better than average. Lots of choices for junk food, breakfast tacos, snacks, drinks. All of the pumps were working. Just about as functional as a travel stop gets. We always know that if we stop here to fill up, our Edge can make it the rest of the way to Fort Worth with about 70 mi to spare, so we really don't have to fill up gas again if we don't want to. Good enough for me! Keep staying consistent Tex Best!!

Clean place and clean restrooms. Gas is on the higher side by about $.30/gal.Many different food choices. Lots of snacks and beverages. The also carry alcohol.

I giving a one star we just left and the girls who worked were rude. No body was on register and did not have communication skills what so ever. She left us at the register for 10 mins before my husband said something. The line was over 10 people and they still refused to help us. All they said was we have self checkout. This store stays open 24hrs no excuse for rude employees at midnight. It’s your job so it right. We will not be going again. Also I will be making phone calls to corporate Tuesday morning.

The cashier lady was very rude to me and my husband. Made unwarranted accusations for no reason, was simply buying some sandwiches when she demanded my ID; I am totally confused. Will not go back again.

Got food poisoning today 🤒 Stopped for a few burritos during my shift. I cant believe I made it home. Felt so ugly. Fever vomiting and everything. 😢 I wanted to pull over and just lay on the side of the road and wait for someone to come help me. 😞 Passed through again on the way home. Told the blonde cashier about it while I bought some pepto tabs. She didnt seem to care. Never again will I come here.

This used to be a good place to pull over when traveling between San Antonio and the Rio Grande Valley or between Laredo and Houston.It sits at the intersection of US 281 and US 59 in George West, TX.Today, I experienced a very CUSTOMER UNFRIENDLY EXPERIENCE at the store, I stopped to fuel up my truck and get some Reward Points in the process.Unfortunately, the young girl doing the transaction SKIPPED the Reward Points process when completing the purchase and then said she was SORRY, but the transaction could not be reversed and I would never receive any reward points for a nearly $400 transaction.I stopped by later on the next day and I was told the same thing by a different employee, the store is NOT RESPONSIBLE for LOST reward points transactions even if it was their own employee's FAULT.

Stopped by tonight at 11:40pm. Got a coffee and a bag a chips for the next 2 hours of my drive home and got in line to pay. Waited patiently to pay. Waited and waited. After waiting for over 15 minutes, we asked how much longer it would take. The response was til 12:05am!! Ridiculous!! Put my coffee and chips on the counter and left. I’ve never heard of a convenient store closing for over 20 minutes for a shift change.And the sign on the door clearly states masks required but the cashier had hers on her chin!!Very disappointed!!

RUDE / TERRIBLE SERVICE / NOT 24 HRS!I walked in at about 11:45 PM to buy a bottle of water. I was rudely greeted by a cashier who yelled out, "Registers are closing!" (How about, "Hello, welcome to Tex Best! I'm sorry, sir, but our registers are about to close. Do you need to make a quick purchase?") She refused to wait 20 seconds so I could just buy a bottle of water. She said they would open again at 12:05. I didn't want to wait around for 20 minutes so I offered to leave cash so she could ring it up later and I was refused. This is NOT a 24-hour convenience store! If they close their registers for 20 minutes 3 times daily for each shift change, then it is a 23-HOUR INCONVENIENCE STORE WITH RUDE CASHIERS. However, I must give kudos to the young man who was cleaning the restrooms. He saw how rudely I was treated and apologized to me.

Very horrible cashiers working there.Alexandria and Hillary.How can a company keep employees like this?No matter where you go, check you receipts.Alexandria messed up by overcharging and put it off as if it wasn't her fault.She even made me get back in line.And she obviously doesn't know how to do her job or how to have minimal customer service.Then Hillary tried accusing us of stealing drinks we already paid for.She literally cut me off at the door to tell us to pay for drinks.When I told her the other girl charged us, she told me to leave.I told her I'm trying to leave you're the one stopping me.

I'm not sure what's going on with the heavy set woman, working the kitchen, but it seems like she hates her job. On every single occasion that I've been there, she's been extremely rude to all customers. As for the food, its not horrible, considering it's a gas station. However, the flour tortillas are hard and crunchy. It's like you're eating thin crust pizza.

Bathroom was ok. Definitely not spotless. The stall doors are definitely not what I'm used to. Husband said he got a bad vibe being there and said we definitely weren't eating there. We went on down the road. Place had a odd smell to it

The cashier named Becky was extremely rude to me and my family as we were passing through town. She made us feel like we had done something wrong when we hadn’t, she obviously has no patience. She put a dent in our moods, we did not deserve to be treated so unkindly, and its clear that not everyone has a personality for customer service. Then she attempted to fix It with, “Have a great day!”....ummm It was a little too late Becky, next time take your own advice, whatever your issue is...always try to find the bright side of things and “have a great day”, put a smile on your face, and save your attitude for those who truly deserve It.

This is one of my favorite stops from Alice Harding north for coffee and gas. Restrooms are always clean. Coffee is always hot and if not, they will brew some immediately for you. Bakery looks delicious but I never order, no sweets. Lol. Keep up the great work guys.

While I appreciate the convenience of the parking for semi trucks, employees seem to enjoy parking there. The last 3 weeks I've stopped in, the same 4 pickups have been parked in semi parking and they let customers park in the middle of the lot, making it impossible for big trucks to park.I called an employee on it and she told me they don't let people park there, yet it's employee vehicles in the spots.

Never had an issue at the TexBest/George West, TX before but on Wednesday 10/31/18 at 4:00 AM was different. Two women (one White and the other Hispanic looking) were setting up the taco/burrito line. I asked the heavy set white woman for 2 tacos with beans but I guess she got mad since she said (in a rude way) “ We don’t have beans yet. We only have whatever is in the line” Come on white woman. You had the beans on the table behind you. Shame on you going to work and giving that attitude to the Customer. I was about to pay for the tacos and coffe but I decided to cancel my taco order. The guy at the register offered free coffee . 0 stars to the heavy set white woman. 5 stars to the guy at the register.

The 2 white ladies at the kitchen are rude. The breakfast trays might be right behind them ready to go, but they tell you they only serve what's in front of them which are burritos, cold biscuits, and toasters. The other Mexican lady shakes the spoon all over the tray, so you get about 1/2 a spoon in your taco which basically is a tortilla rubbed with egg. A while back tacos were ready by 4:00 am. Now it's closer to 5:00a.m. The place is turning into a dump!

Was checked out by a lady named Mekenzie was very rude and very inconsiderate. Was try to grab my bag and thanks to that plexy glass and her pulling it out of my reach. Just watched me trying to grab it. Plus her being on her phone. Almost didn't idea me either hope there ain't a sting soon cuz they'll fail it for sure!

Asked for them to make fresh burritos and she told me when they were just made, “when they look like they have been there for more than an hour and even offered to wait for fresh but refused and was even persistent that they were fresh when I’ve worked at convenient stores when someone ask to make fresh just do it it’s called good Coustumer service, they need to be retrained
