It is located in West, TX. We got a flat tire that required immediate servicing, but it was Sunday. Had to stay overnight, and the rate was very reasonable since I didn't have a reservation. The hotel attendent was very friendly and pleasant. The room was clean, spacious, and stocked. The "king" bed was very comfortable. There were plenty of pillows, plankets, and lighting. The bed also had a good angle to the television. There was also a COMFORTABLE chair 5 or 6' in the corner of the room. It was a great place to check my emails.The bathroom was spacious, toilet clean, and towels were stocked.The breakfast downstairs in the kitchen was superb!!!My only negative would be that the shower curtain did not reach the top of the tub; therefore, water soaked the bath rug. Not a HUGE DEAL. I got over it... ✌️Nearby activities: Excellent BBQ at the neighbors' "SLovacek's" - Exon with Family Restaurant. The restaurant had a store-Texas products, deli, and recredible BBQ brisket... ✌️

We made reservations thru the hotel in January 2024. For a wedding in March,2024.I specifically talked to a manager. There was blocked rooms for this event. I stressed several times about our pet. She quoted me a total including pet fees and taxes for 2 nights. We arrived and had to wait an hour or more for a room, due to them not being cleaned. They charged us more than what we were quoted. I kept explaining I knew it was extra for my pet, and the price the manager gave us and what they charged was Not the same.No hot water, shower didn't work, my husband had to fix it. There was a basket ball team there, that stayed up All night running up and down the hallway. When we tried to speak to the front desk about our check in situation she kept over talking us. My husband presented our information that we received from them and she said well I am not allowed to open that part of my computer. You will have to contact manager. That won't be in until Monday. We had booked a King was put into 2 Queen, bed.Just very disappointed in overall stay. I will drive into Waco, Tx before we stay here again.To the Owner:As we explained to the individual at the front desk, and to you. When we made our reservations she explained the pet fee would be extra we were totally fine with it. She told us there were King suites as well as Queen rooms available in the wedding party block. We chose the King. She quoted our price including pet fee and taxes. After going thru many many channels y'all fixed our price and that we are thankful for. I still stand with if I ever attend anything else in the area I will stay in Waco.

Hotel in state of disrepair. Pool. Broken locks on every floor. Ice machine out of order. Every room had holes in the wall where something had been removed. Bugs in light fixtures. Only 36 tv channels. Owner is cutting costs and running a lousy operation. Go a few exits up the highway to the Hillsboro location to see a high level operation. In the last 3 years we have stayed in 25 HI Expresses. 24 have been great. HI Express must have people that inspect properties. Crickets in showers and sinks. How about hiring someone for maintenance? Smoke alarm in room was removed and wired were hanging down. This franchisee is not representing HI Express well. There is furniture in the pool. Clearly the pool hasn't been open for awhile. I would sleep in my car before staying in this hotel. I'm going to add a review to Trip Advisor as well. Almost forgot to mention the day we checked in the lobby stank. We were moved to a room on the first floor because our shower didn't work. First floor room stank. Finally we had some success with our 3rd room.

Big rooms with nice comfy clean beds, I slept so good! Bathroom was spotless and I really enjoyed my stay, I don't usually sleep well at hotels but these beds were so nice!Props to the house keepers they did a wonderful job making it look great in our room! Also the overnight front desk lady who helped us was super helpful and very nice 👼

The room was ok, the front counter lady was asleep when I went to check out and all night you heard loud trucks from the interstate. I would highly suggest you stay on the other side away from the road and use online since I paid $150 to barely get any rest due to loud traffic noises. Not the greatest area either for that price. No bed bugs though so that’s really what matters the most.Rooms: Room was niceSafety: It’s dark and a little sketchy there outside.Walkability: You can walk to BBQ and a gas station.

I arrived at the hotel on September 16th. I checked in around 8:00 PM. Went to my room and there were bugs on the floor and on the table. I counted about 10 crickets. I went to the front desk and asked for a different room. Lady at front desk said they do not have any other rooms and that should could go to the room and sweep out the bugs. The crickets were all alive hopping around. She said I am in the country and bugs are normal after the rain. I find this unacceptable and decided to cancel my reservation. I had to drive across town with my wife and 10 month old baby and get find another hotel. Sorry but I do not recommend anyone staying at this hotel.

Great clean place. We used the pool and the sauna, which was well kept too. They didn't have any towels in the pool area, which made everyone have to go back to their rooms and use the ones from the rooms.The staff was very friendly and the atmosphere was nice.They offered breakfast. The cook went out of his way to deliver the food to our table and he made a special breakfast for my kids and cut them up nicely too. Very sweet of him.

This was the most accommodating Inn I've ever stayed . They got us to airport middle of nite and gave us his personal number to call as soon as we landed on return trip. He was there by time we got our luggage. I'm 85 so not a lot of energy. I definitely will stay here when I fly again. A Rangers game was that nite and he offered to get me there if I wanted to go. I had not seen the new stadium. I'm thinking it would be great to come spend nite and go to a game. Wouldn't have to get into all traffic and dropped off at door. ♥️♥️♥️♥️

No this should be a 4 star or worse. Been staying there for years but will go elsewhere in future. Rooms are nice check in fast. Whomever is running this place is disrespectful, unkind, & basically rude. Has a child running all over the place being loud. Hotel smells like an Indian cafe.Manager is nice so is housekeeping. The hotel was clean. The room was spacious. One of the light switches was broken, so we could not turn one of the lights off all night. Tile was cracked in the shower like the curtain rail had been repaired, and there were only two wash cloths and two hand towels provided, along with four bath towels, which was not enough for a family of four. There was quite a bit of highway noise in our room. I'm sure the back side of the hotel is much quieter.Breakfast was barely tolerable, in my opinion. The scrambled eggs were extremely salty. The oatmeal was at the same time soupy and undercooked. The fresh biscuits were good, and the coffee was average for hotel offerings. The dining and other common areas were large, clean, and comfortable.I would not call the property "pet friendly," but rather "pet tolerant." There were no grassy areas to walk our dogs, just muddy strips and overgrown fields. The non refundable deposit of $25 per night per pet seems excessive. If I had looked at the policy in advance (that's on me), I would not have booked there. Not only was there the deposit, but the pet rules were very strict. (Not allowed on furniture, large cleaning fees if they deem there to be excessive shed, etc.) Read the policy before booking if you travel with pets. It takes an entire sheet of paper to spell all the pet rules out.If I am traveling without my fur-kids, I would stay there again. Otherwise, I will book somewhere that is more welcoming to our four-legged friends.

We had car trouble heading from Dallas to Austin and this hotel was a huge ray of light in an otherwise frustrating situation. All the mechanics in West were closed and we had our two dogs, so doing a AAA tow to Waco wasn't ideal. This hotel got us a room and made sure we were taken care of. Highly recommend. The room was clean, the people were great, breakfast was tasty. Thanks Holiday Inn!

Would not recommend - My husband and I had a weekend getaway in Waco, and this was a close stop to “Czech stop” which was a bakery destination for our getaway. We chose Holiday Inn for familiarity and cost. Check in process was smooth, and the front desk gentleman was friendly and courteous. Upon entering the room, however, we were greeted with a bad odor, dirty bedding (sheets, pillows, pillow cases) and a dirty room. It was almost as if someone had checked out, and the room hadn’t been turned over. The bedding wasn’t just dirty, it also had dried blood stains on the comforter and pillow cases, causing me to suspect bedbugs. When we tried to call the front desk to ask for a change of sheets, the phone line did not work. The front desk was accommodating though and moved us to a different room, which was cleaner by comparison (and turned out to NOT have vampire bugs). The next morning when using the shower, housekeeping knocked on the door (which was alarming because it was before checkout time). They informed us that there was a leak from our room to the room directly below us and coming from the bathroom, asked that we turn the water off. We checked out, and have no plans to return.

This hotel isn't living up to the reputation of Holiday Inn Express. The hotel is old and musty. Service was rude and seemed they could care less to have guests.We reserved a King Suite. When we arrived, the lady at the front desk said she didn't have any left because she gave them to people earlier in the night that arrived WITHOUT reservations. What??? So we didn't even get the room we reserved and paid for. She was extremely rude about it. To the point I would have left, but there wasn't another option at 11pm.Our room had some spiders. The shower curtain rod was broken. The toilet ran all night long after flushing it. The air conditioner wouldn't cool the room down. And.... there were blood stains on the pillow cases.Disgusting stay. We won't stay there again and management needs a lesson in what good customer service really is. They could take some pointers from how Hilton does their job.

Awful hotel. It smells like sewage. We got two queen suites. In one room there were spiders and old chicken bones. Only 3 towels for a room that fits 6 people. We had to ask for the bedding for the pullout in both rooms. When the bedding was brought it only included a flat sheet and thin very worn out waffle blanket in each bag. I called to ask for the rest of the bedding for the pullout and the front desk woman acted put out and inconvenienced that we would want a whole set of sheets pillows and blankets for the beds. In the other room neither TV worked and the door to the room was broken and would stick to the point of locking you in the room. The hotel says they have a pool but it is empty with nasty dirty rain water and sludge in the bottom.

Our original room #217 had bed sheets that were dirt plus the pillows had blood stains on them. Plus the phone didn’t work at all in the room. After we called front desk from our personal phone we were moved to room #219. The pillows were dirty and the heat didn’t work at all in the room. Overall was very displeased with the whole experience. Will definitely not recommend staying here but to each is own.

First notice that they only respond to five star ratings. The cook and cleaning staff are good. The manager lies so you’ll leave her alone. The room door looks like someone busted in. Four phone calls confirmed that the pool was open and they had removed the feather pillows. They actually had the pool shut down by the health department and had added feather pillows to the room. It’s all s big joke to the manager. It’s basically a bunch of people that bought a hotel franchise but don’t know what to do with it. They run it like a Best Western or Motel 6 slum. Even if you’re Diamond Elite stay away. They don’t upgrade. They lied about the pool being open until we tried to use it.

There were SO MANY problems during my stay. My best friend was getting married and this hotel just caused so much trouble and stress. When we checked in, I had booked a 1 king suite, when I arrived, I got a double queen suite. My friend had booked a double queen suite and she only got a double queen standard room. The AC was not working in her room and it was extremely humid and not cool. Her room was not cleaned (hair in the shower, pet hair in/on the furniture, and unclean sheets). Management was very helpful with this situation, and switched her to the room that she'd asked for in the first place. There were ants in several of the rooms. One couple walked into their room and found a large blower and smelled must, management moved them to a clean room. The water in several rooms had some sort of issue on the first day we were there where it was tinted brown, and seemed very unclean. Some rooms didn't have ironing boards when we arrived. My friend and I got locked out of our rooms and had to get the keys re-coded to let us in. Overall, not a good experience, but this is pretty much the only hotel in the city of West, Texas, so we were kind of stuck.

I would never visit this property again, from the start there suites are the exact same as the standard king rooms, the shower curtain bar was broken and almost falling off the wall on both side, the door on the bathroom had a very sharp spot on the handle with a few metal shards that cut my arm in 2 spots and I started bleeding. The AC unit was was good on one side of the room but the other was very muggy and hot, the emergency exit was broken and the door almost fell on me, the lobby had crickets everywhere and was very hot. They do not do any matinace on the hotel. Do NOT stay here!!!

Absolutely amazing clean and courteous. Booked online 20 minutes before arriving at 4 am in the morning! Check in was a breeze I was greeted by name and room key already ready for me. Best absolutely hands customer service I've experienced during a stay at any hotel. Bonus point they are pet friendly for large breeds as well as small breed. I didn't catch the desk attendants name but he was working the night shift on 8/10/2021. He deserves a raise a high five a free lunch something from the company to applaud his excellent service. Thank night guy so much for your compassion as well to my devastating night and listening to me cry. You rock!!!!

Rooms and mattresses and linens were clean and comfortable. Nice flat panel tv with lots of channels to watch including a significant # of premium movie channels. Great location just off I35 with a McDonald's, Starbucks, a 7-11, and a Slovachek's nearby. Front desk staff were personable.Rooms: Nice size rooms recently refurbished. Our room had an unpleasant odor upon first entering room, that then dissipated, an odor that I could not identify. Notified front desk upon checking out after second night of unpleasant but not unbearable smell.Food & drinks: Good breakfast including scrambled eggs, cinnamon rolls, juices, apples, fresh hot pancakes, yogurt, sausage, cereals, milk, and great coffee. Best free brewed coffee from a hotel in my experience.
