This was the worst experience I’ve ever had. The manager (tall middle aged sassy man) saw me waiting in aquatics never came to ask if I needed help, finally after 30/45 min of watching him walk back and forth, I asked at the front to call someone to help he comes to help with a very sassy attitude I was trying to purchase fish and he refused because I didn’t have a water sample on me, is that the policy? I’ve been a customer for years he even got really aggressive with me and said word for word “you can call corporate, I don’t care. it’s at the managers discretion to sell I asked to see the policy and he went and locked himself in an office by the register’s I live in Brownsville and came all the way to see if your store had pretty fish I am a fish hobbyist and know exactly what I’m doing when it comes to aquatics very very unprofessional employees you have I’ve never had to carry a sample of my water with me before purchasing from your store’s I understand if the fish dies and I want a refund then I need the water sample but this wasn’t the case. Poor poor management.

If I could leave 0 star review I would!Terrible customer service from an older woman yesterday. Ever Since we first got there we got nasty stares over one question. When she replied she took at least 5 seconds to stare us down and replied while having an openly hostile attitude. I felt so uncomfortable that I decided to leave and come back later in hopes I’d get a different employee.Much Later when I returned she proceeded to refuse to sell us any pet fish when I had explained we had 2 separate fish tanks.We ended up buying something else we needed and when it was our turn to pay she refused to attend us and told her coworker to do it.When we asked for a name we were refused any info. So I couldn’t properly place the complaint on this older woman but this happened on March 17, 2024. Time : 5-7 pm on your 821 E Expressway 83, Weslaco, TX location. There were only 2 employees at the time. Her and a man.This type of employees are taking up spaces for ones that actually want to work. If helping out a customer with a simple question is too much for her then she needs to quit and go work on her attitude problem instead. Noticeably she was having a bad day seeing from her facial expressions but it’s not an excuse to take it out on others. Very unpleasant and unhappy older woman. Will not be returning to this location to get this type of treatment. Very disappointed

I'm told to wait, when I was next in line, while clerk checks everyone out behind me. I've already bought & paid for my items so i'm supposed to wait. 2nd time I've had this happen. Not happy.

They provide great customer service. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is because their restrooms are kind of dirty, and they always seem to have pallets on the floor.

Superb grooming services. Kind & gentle staff soothed my timid German Shepherd, so that he was tended to properly. Good health assessment concerning an ear infection. Before grooming he was constantly scratching & itching. Not now!! He looked so happy, healthy & clean. Thank you Petco for the genuine love my pet was given. It shows!

I am a regular customer but lately I've been finding myself at petsmart in Donna! The manager at petco always seems in a hurry and is never friendly. For these reasons I prefer to drive to Donna where they actually smile at customers.

Seemed a little short staffed unfortunately. Only saw a cashier and he had to go into an office as he was locked out of the system more than once. Clean and pretty organized store for the most part.

Nothing bad to say about this place. Prices are a bit high on a few items but what I do like about this store is that they always have a clearance section and luckily for me I always find what I need in the clearance section. Staff was friendly and they explained the programs that they have to save money on future purchases. Overall good the atmosphere is positive and you could spend hours looking at everything that is on the sales floor.

Horrible customer service from an older aged woman! She might have been a manager but I asked her one question she had an attitude from the beginning. She couldn’t not even make eye contact with me, she was just so rude it was disgusting. i didn’t even want to continue shopping there but I needed to grab a few items for my animals.

Another great grooming experience. Personal know their business. I have miniature Australian Shepherd mix n they know just the right cut. Have had previous dog here n was never disappointed.

I find shopping at petco really fun and easy. I usually look items over on the app for sales or item availability before going to the store. My kitty loves the Whole hearted brand. This brand contains quality ingredients while being budget friendly. There's currently a sale on select items, so I snatched up a two tier stand for my cat for $34. She loves it! Specially since the feather toys attached to the stand can be replaced which is amazing. I also bought her a cute cave which was on-sale from $30 to $15. I recommend using the app for promos and rewards. Most importantly, for the convenience of finding items, comparing prices and scanning price tags in store.

The products I need are always in stock and offer variety of products. The only pet store that has the items I need. Although, reqards programs for frequent customers is faulty at times.

Sophie had her first visit for grooming at petco. Sophie has previously had a bad experience so she is hard to groom. The groomer told me all the ifs and buts which bothered me, but when I picked her up she looked beautiful and the groomer survived. We will be back

Went in and out super fast. Unfortunately they didn't have the dog food I needed but I was still able to buy at least something to last me a day until I can go somewhere else. The store was not crowded and I noticed they offer curbside so I might use that service next time.

The worst customer service anywhere in the world! Hopefully u don’t get this guy when u try to go get fish! Super d-bag. If they don’t want to do there job…. They should work somewhere else! I’ve been making myself stomach coming here even though all employees evidently hate working here. Now will have to drive to pharr for feeder fish…. Worth it not to see this d-bag!
