I support the shelter 100%. That being said they need to get a new driver. I was just cut-off by the current one for absolutely no reason whatsoever in the middle of town. Not really smart or a good look for the town to run people off the road with big "Mineral Wells Animal Control" signs displayed

The Mineral Wells Animal Shelter is probably the best experience I've ever had at any shelter before. Super amazing people and incredible volunteers that serve with so much love and genuine care. The animals here are well taken care of with plenty of love and cuddles! The adoption process is simple and the animals are ready to be adopted!

They were very kind and polite and treated my dog with utmost kindness. There was no meanness of any kind. They got the surgery done in a well-mannered time. They also said that if I needed any more help to give them a call. So very very good place to take your animals.

Went to take cats to surrender because my 4 year old developed a sever allergic reaction to them and we get told that they wont take them without a fee of 35 dollars.Nice to know that yall care more about your money then a child. Pathetic just straight pathetic

I volunteered here today, it was so rewarding and the animals just soak up the love and attention! More people should definitely donate thier time or make donations to help this shelter. They go above and beyond for all the animals. They fight for them to have good lives and loving homes! Adopt, give these animals a real chance at a real life with real love...

When my dog was there the staff was great at contacting me right away that they had her. She is chipped and so they were able to reach me and we were able to get her back no problem. However I would suggest if u do plan on going there to adopt and u are allergic to cats, take some allergy meds beforehand. Their front desk area has the cat area in the same room.

My blue pit Dozer finally lost his fight with autoimmune disease at 9 yrs old. I had to make that impossible decision and let go so his suffering would be over. Hes crossed the rainbow bridge june 7th and left me devastated. After a month I decided to see if I could find a new friend. A shelter seemed to be a good place to start. So many pets needing a new forever home. I found Sly and knew we could give him a loving new home. I'm thankful for the work they do to try to help these animals find love.

We went there on a Saturday, looking for a puppy. They had a few, but most would grow bigger than our ideal size. We asked the officer if we could come back the next day. He said they're normally closed on Sundays, but would see what he could do. A phone call later, he told us someone would meet us on Sunday morning. We got there, held the puppy we were most interested in, and now have a new family member! The price included microchip, Parvo vaccine, a dewormer, and as a bonus, they gave us a couple of brand new toys! Highly recommend this place for all of your adoption needs!

Honestly the worse place in Mineral wells the people who work there are very rude. The harassment is really so unprofessional. To come to my work and try and give me a ticket that’s just so unprofessional. That’s why you have peoples numbers or something you don’t come into someone work like that. If I could put ZERO stars I would!

Very carrying, kind and helpful. Found my best friend, Rebel / Bear, at their shelter and he was so very well taken care of. Had received all needed info about him and when I could not keep appointment with vet they worked with me. Great place to find a new life-long friend/family member

The staff at this shelter truly cares about the well being of every animal that is brought thru the door. They work hard to keep the facilities as clean and comfortable as possible. They need more people to come and adopt They need more people willing to give their time and to actively get involved helping to find forever homes and to help maintain the facilities. Volunteers get lots of joy, kisses, purring and tail wags!

I don't know much about the city shelter, but I do know the volunteers/employees (I'm not sure if they're paid) here are amazing. They do everything they can to prevent the animals being euthanized. They truly care here.

They were amazing I went to adopy one small dog and she was bonded with another rescued with so I ended up giving both a forever home both are still very happy 2+ years later just wanted to let folks know this Animal Shelter is amazing and do the very best they can to get the correct human to the perfect dog.

Visited on a Saturday for "Empty the Shelter" and came out with a beautiful tortoise young female cat (about half feral) who is perfectly suited to life in the barn! Nice facility and very friendly staff.

They don't take some issues serious the people across the street from me had thier dog attack someone else dog in the other dogs own yard the dog has also almost bit me and my kids I've called multiple times and they don't do anything they saw the little dog it attacked shaking and scared but all they got was a lil talking to yet bc my dogs are pits they say my dogs are mean but my dogs have never attacked anyone or any other animals so huh who's more dangerous but that dog still gets out and still there sorry but they don't care if the dog attacks a smaller dog in it's own yard but if ur dog is in it's own yard not doing anything and is a pit it's mean wow priorities huh who's the one in the wrong

All I do is call the animal shelter because I cannot seem to find my black cat with a white beard that they took off at the Budget Motel that is animal cruelty his name is Tom, and I have not been able to find him yet
