We live out of state. When my wife's mother passed away, we needed a place for her dog to go that WASN'T a kill shelter, especially considering the age of the dog. Clear Lake worked with us over the phone, accepted the dog, and held her for a few nights before a friend of the family could get there to pick her up. Not only did the kennel help us, but they tended to a "hot spot" on the dog from the stress of being in the apartment for 2 days with her dead mommy. I believe the kennel even bathed the dog, as I'm sure she was rank when they received her.Thank you so much for the time and care Clear Lake. After trying out different groomers around the area, we finally have our go-to! Have groomed our pups here 4 times so far, all experiences were very satisfying. Several different pet owners from different dog parks have recommended this place, and for us to look for Dawn. She has a long waitlist, so you need to book far in advance (almost 2 months ahead!).Dawn is the BEST. Our 4 year old toy poodle can be a bit of a diva, but Dawn can successfully make her sit and styled to perfection! Our other rescue pup might have a bit of trauma with having her face touched and has tried to scare off other groomers at different places, but Dawn said she was an absolute sweetheart throughout the whole complete-shaving process (she came severely matted).It is a bit pricier than other places ($75 for full wash and trim for our 5 lbs toy poodle), but they provide live streaming from multiple cameras that can be accessed from your phone, so that’s very helpful for owners with anxiety.The shop owner was also very sweet and insightful. They don’t have a waiting area, but they were accommodating when I decided to wait for the very first session.They are very VERY thorough, and they handle several dogs within the same time frame; from our experience, one dog took an average of 3 to 3.5 hours. It is quite a long time for grooming, but the end result is worth it, and they provide water if the pup has to wait.

My Doberman has been here many times while we go on weekend trips. Never had any issues and I can’t complain about anything. They seem to always be on the ball and take great care of the pets.

Took my 6 month old puppy to Clear Lake Kennels while out of town for daughters wedding. Was reluctant because puppy was so young but she did fantastic. The ladies at CLK even sent a few videos of our pup while we were gone! I would definitely recommend them for boarding your pet.

Melanie and all staff were very welcoming from start to finish! Sending videos, pictures and making sure the family knew our baby girl was taken care of and having tons of fun while being pampered and loved on constantly!! Griffon has always been afraid to get his nails done. With all the staff being so calm and laid back he has gotten so much easier to get the nails done without stress. He gets a bath (which he loves)and his nails done. I am so happy for him to have progressed this far, after over 3 years of struggle to get them done. Thank you Clear Lake Kennels.

They offer full service for dogs (kennel, boarding and full service grooming), but they also do the same for cats. They even have a separate building designated as a catery. That's right... no barking to stress your kitty while they are waiting for you to pick them up after their 'spa' day - LOL,!The staff is super friendly and the prices are VERY reasonable. Give these fine people a try; you'll be really glad you did!!12/18 - Took my 2 fur babies in for a much-needed nail clip this morning. They both needed baths, but that appointment was still 3 weeks away. The cat groomer had room in her schedule and volunteered to take care of the baths today!! Saved having to bring the kitties back so soon.Clear Lake Kennels NEVER disappoints!!!

Forever grateful for the love this place has to offer ♥️ Elyse is wonderful! The staff continuously monitors your pets with 24/7 surveillance and on site living quarters for some of the employees. Your pet is in good hands here.If ever there is some type of weather emergency, they have generators to power the entire facility! Outstanding doggy hotel! I was a little hesitant to board Fiona here since it’s new to us. The staff was patient with our many questions and let us drop in and visit prior to her stay. Everyone gave her so much love and they sent us pictures while we were away. I highly recommend Clear Lake Kennels. These people are so nice! The kennels are well taken care of. The staff is very thorough in inventory, we got all of our things back after the stay. They are very respectful and accommodating of changes. My fur babies were treated as if they were their dogs. I will use them again, and recommend them to others looking for someone to shelter and care for their pets.

Clear Lake Kennels is the finest kennel I have dealt with. I brought my kitty cat there for a 2 week stay and he was not feeling so well when I brought him in. Yet Melanie, Clay and the rest of the team there were so incredibly cordial, helpful and SUCH A BLESSING! Mel stayed in touch with me throughout the time I was gone to keep me informed of how my pet was doing. She literally went to GREAT LENGTHS to make sure my cat was well taken care of, made to feel comfortable and nurtured during his time of need. She stood by like a dedicated pet nurse making sure he got his medicine and so much more. When I finally returned, My Kitty cat was doing really well. I noticed he had gotten much better and I could tell that he was refreshed! Thanks so much to Mel, Clay and the team at Clear Lake Kennels. You all are absolutely fantastic in my book and go highly recommended to all who may need excellent and affordable boarding, where I believe the care is second to none! I've taken my to pups there several times and they never listen to what I say as to how i want them groomed. I picked them up and they tried to give me someone else's dogs and she swore she had never done that before. That place is a joke.

I love this place. Been in and out for 25 years or more. I have great respect for Elyse and all the people who work there. Especially Katie W. She is great groomer and is truly passionate about her craft. Anyone leaving their dog in her care can be confident that it will be taken care of in a kind and compassionate manner. In fact ALL the staff their are well trained and safety is paramount.
