We got our puppy in July! She is such a precious little dog. Like the 3 dachshunds I’ve had before her- she loves to be involved in everything that we’re doing and would stay right next to us at all times if she could! We couldn’t be happier with her. Select dachshunds was very helpful through the process and we are grateful for our puppy. We will definitely be on the lookout for puppy #2 from select dachshunds.

Had the best experience with Select Dachshunds. Both billy and Logan gave me updates/ pics of how my pup was doing, tips and recommendations for things to buy so I can be fully prepared for when Fiona was ready to pick up and I was really grateful as she was my first ever puppy. And not only that but I truly appreciate the time they took in making sure their puppies were healthy AND they were even potty trained! I literally had to do NOTHING! She already knew not to use the restroom in her playpen/ kennel and only on the puppy pads. Honestly great experience and they eased all my worries by answering any questions I had and always made themselves available. I would highly recommend them.

I picked up my puppy after viewing him online and speaking with the owner a few times! I live in Dallas and they were very accommodating with my schedule so I could pick up puppy on my day off. They also offer delivery, but I could not wait another day to bond with my puppy. They had all paperwork, food, and information on site and you can see the parents and other dogs when you arrive if you would like. I adopted an English cream and he is the sweetest addition to my family. I recommend this family owned and operated facility vs buying from a pet store in dallas! I will keep this review updated of any changes but so far I am 100% happy with my decision to get my puppy from Select Dachshunds. Billy and Marty are quick to respond and follow up with anything you need. Good people who love the dogs.

This was my first experience with Select Dachshunds, but not my first Dachshund. I’ve had my Penelope for 8 weeks now & I can tell you there is an absolute difference in the way they breed & handle their litters from the beginning. She is the most trusting, even-tempered, sweetest little girl I’ve ever owned. Billy, Marty & the teams dedication, devotion & love of the breed is very apparent. I would recommend Select Dachshunds to anyone looking for their next addition to their family, and I can tell you that you won’t be disappointed! My expectations were blown away and I’m already looking at adding another to our family.Update: 12/12/22We can’t believe she’s almost a year old already🐾 Penelope loves everyone and she’s absolutely beautiful. She’s been fairly easy to train and she travels everywhere with me! At this point she’s probably been on more flights than quite a few adults, and everyone always says they’ve never seen such a well behaved dog! Billy & Marty love the breed, plus they work hard to make a difference and it really shows ❤️❤️

I am so glad I found Select Dachshunds. I spent months trying to find a reputable mini dachshund breeder that I could trust actually cared about their puppies and customers. Marty was so helpful and friendly, always giving me updates on my puppy and advice for when he came home. I flew all the way from NYC to pick up my puppy because of how much I trusted and wanted to work with Select Dachshunds. Everyone was very friendly, transparent, and forthcoming with information about the puppies and business. Everything was done very professionally, and with the utmost care. My puppy Harvey has been home with us for a few weeks. He is adjusting well and has such a great temperament and personality. The vet told us he was very healthy and was very happy with the food Marty and Billy provided us with. Marty even took the time to follow up with us after bringing the puppy home to make sure everything was going well and to answer any questions we had. You can tell Select Dachshunds truly cares about the well being of their puppies, before and even after they find their new home. I am beyond pleased and highly recommend Select Dachshunds to anyone looking for a mini dachshund and concerned about finding a truly reputable and trustworthy breeder. Thanks Select Dachshunds!

After many months of searching for a reputable breeder, I came across Select Dachshunds and am so glad I did! They were super responsive, answered all of my questions and even met me at the airport, as I flew all the way from Denver to pickup our pup!Harlow (originally Iris), is now almost a year old and is the sweetest, happiest little pup. She has a great temperament, is healthy and is so smart, and has been pretty easy to train. We truly cannot imagine life without her!Would highly recommend Select Dachshunds if you are thinking about adding a dachshund puppy to your family!

How I wish that there were more stars to give on this review site! I don't even know where to begin on the great experience I had getting a puppy from Select Dachshunds last year! The owner and Marty were both so fantastic to work with in helping me determine the right puppy. And I sure did get the right puppy.. He is the sweetest, smartest and most lovable little guy you could ask for. He was house trained within 2 weeks of brining him home. He has brought only joy, love and laughter to our home. We named him Rhett after Clark Cable in Gone with the Wind because he is such a handsome boy. I am now looking to get a sister for Rhett and am going to go back to Select Dachshunds to get the perfect little girl!

I got a puppy from select dachshund mid December. You can tell instantly how well he was handled as a pup. I immediately took him to the vet and he got a clean bill of health!! Now, he is the silliest little guy I have ever had, ( no fault of anyone) he has no fear, and makes me laugh all day long! I’m glad to know I found such a good breeder when there are so many fake ones out there!

UPDATE: 12/2021- When I was first reading all Select Dachshunds reviews when considering getting a puppyfrom Select, I was curious to know how owners felt after having their pups for several months. After all most are giddy with the cuteness of their new puppy and writing their review. I'm happy to say Texie is still the highlite of my life and continues to thrive in every aspect.ORIGINAL POST- I was very hesitant about buying a puppy online without seeing it first. Billy and Marty were a phone call away at all times and every email was promptly returned. Pickup was all about the puppy feeling secure before leaving. I was surprised at how quickly Texie's personality shined. Within minutes of arriving home, it was like she had been there since birth. She is extremely smart, full of energy, loves her toys, eager to please me and won't let me out of her sight. My vet gave raving reviews on her health and the records provided by Billy. I highly highly recommend Select Dachshunds

I purchased a pup last year and I can agree that the process was easy and yes he is a beautiful and loving pup.They did convince be the loving, docile, and submissive pup I was looking for.I purchased shortly after having lost my dearest dachshund of 13yrs. This is my 3rd dachshund I have raised from 2mos of age so I am not a rookie with the breed I have had nothing but great experiences with the breed and always wanted an English Creme-also known for being the most docile.Boy this was a wake up call. Probably the most difficult everything so far I have experienced with a pet. He is def an alpha and my other dachshund does not get along with him AT ALL. He is the most stubborn, the most vocal (barks at air literally) and has been the most difficult of all to potty train. He also has terrible breath. I had to get his teeth pulled at 6 mos bc he had persistent teeth(never heard of this)—because of that he has a very strange bite with canines that stick out.May not be breeders fault entirely, but I really don’t know why you would breed dachshunds that both carry the IVDD gene. My baby inherited both. I can’t tell you how worried I am to face this some day. He has awkward posture and very fragile bone structure. I actually go see a bone vet next month to see if it is of concern and if there is anything I can do proactively. He slips quite frequently when walking.This is the first time I have dealt with a dog with severe separation anxiety as well to the point of injury. He will need to be prescribed Trazodone. I have been avoiding it, but after his last episode it is what is best for him. He still hasn’t potty trained entirely and I have also paid for training that he has had since he was 4 mos old.The most I have ever paid for a pet and first time I have dealt with this many issues and bills to keep him safe and healthy. I never knew a dog could be so high maintenance.All I am saying is I tried to vet the pup out and no matter all the assurances you get you can’t determine what you will actually get from a breeder. I will now require a DNA test before I ever buy from a breeder again.

We love our Reesey B (Reese) that we adopted through Select Dachshunds!!! Marty and Billy were both very helpful, knowledgeable, and responsive! Our Reesey is so smart and learning new things everyday! Can't wait to continue to watch him grow! Will definitely use them again when getting another doxie in the future.

If you’re thinking about it… DO IT!!! We bought our Oscar for the kids Christmas from Santa. The entire purchase process to bringing Oscar home was absolutely amazing. We got email updates with pictures, informational packet about the breed, and since we drove to meet the driver they even provided us some additional meds for Oscar for the 6hr drive home. We were extremely satisfied with the process and are considering buying Oscar a friend here in the near future. We love our mini dachshund

We got our puppy a month ago. Sadie (originally named Cocoa) is everything we hoped for and more! I lost my other dachshund to spinal issues and wanted a well bred replacement to hopefully avoid those problems in the future. Select Dachshunds had several to choose from. I chose a chocolate and tan similar to my previous dachshund. Marty was very helpful and kept me updated on her growth until she was ready to come home. Once we brought her home, she instantly became part of the family! She is a beautiful color and even has rare and stunning green eyes! The picture doesn't do her justice. Her eyes are really green in the sunlight. She loves to be held and sits on my lap most of the time. She is so smart and is learning commands quickly. Sadie is only 5 lb right now, but she has no idea how little she is. We have a 90 lb. mastiff/lab cross and the two of them are best buddies! Looking forward to many years to come with this cutie!

My husband and I acquired one of the females that the breeder was retiring, Minnie. We love this little girl! We have had her for about 18 months and still laugh at her antics. There have been a lot of adjustments and I would advise anyone purchasing one of these older dogs to do some research first and make sure that you have the patience that it might take to acclimate her to becoming part of your family. That being said Minnie has been a delight to us and wonderful companion to my retired husband. My biggest challenge with her now is keeping her at a healthy weight 😊
