My husband said, "Give them a 5⭐ You don't find places like this anymore." I had a turkey burger and the husband had a beef burger. Enjoyed. It's a nice little country store. Tables in the center with the TV showing a cheesy movie of college days. Nothing fancy AT ALL but we enjoyed it. There was convenient store merchandise for sale, in addition to a simple food/grill menu, but it's very unlikely you'll buy anything. Old. Dusty/dirty because it's been there for years. Over-priced. Yet that was part of our "don't find places" smile and enjoyment. Simple menu. Call to make sure they're open. Country store/restaurant can close if business is slow, so call first. The sign on the door said, WINTER HOURS closes at 2pm.If you peer through the window of the back door ... a weld/machine shop. More smiles. The cook is the server and the cleaning crew. And a local high schooler so give her a nice CASH tip. Sweet gal. The owner is a retired principal. He takes the orders, runs the register and has a gentle sense of humor. YOU DON'T FIND PLACES LIKE THIS ANYMORE 😉

This place doesn't look like much and is only part of the building. The main part is actually some repair shop or so, not really sure about this.They have three tables and when we got there two where taken.We got some burgers and fries and they have these thin fries that look like chips and they are awesome. Even better the burger is great, I haven't had such good burger for quite some time.You think the expensive places in San Antonio make the best burger? You are wrong, this place has better burgers that plenty of the "famous" places in San Antonio and Austin. If you want a good burger, come by and check it out for yourself and let me know how you liked it.

A Hill Country Hidden Treasure! Great cheeseburger with all the fixin’s including jalapeños if you take a fit for a little more spice in your life. The onion rings are just right in quantity and taste.And to top it off, the most wonderful chat with the owner.I told my spousal unit, “This is what I love about Texas!”Go check it out (and don’t forget to leave a tip for the cook).

Super small town burger spot. French fries are closer to potato chips and everything was delicious. Hasthe awesome small town feel that is lost so many other places.

Melissa makes the best burgers and shakes I’ve ever had!! Make sure to stop by before 2pm - they may run out of burgers!!
