I just at the store today around 6:30 pm 2/11/24One of the employees was following me around. He keep trying to talk to me. Every Aisle I went down he was was there. I went to one aisle and he was there but he was around the corner and he peeked his head around the corner. So I went into the front to leave he followed me there. I was scared to leave so I just stay there. The. I finally had a chance to leave while he talking to customer. I got outside walking to my car and guess what I turn around he was there. So I ran to my far to hide and he keep looking for me. So all I say is stay safe

Since it was sold there have been many changes including not having a discount meat section. According to an employee they would rather throw it away instead of selling it at a discount when it's about to go bad. That is the very thing that brought me in on Friday mornings to see what meals could be made that week from what discounted meat they had. Luckily Brookshire Brothers still has a reduced meat section so I guess they'll be getting my business. I'm sure they won't miss me.

The morning shift is awesome, but as soon as that sun goes down, it is almost like they hire young kids who just text on their phone and hate dealing with customers (why work at a place you hate or hate people if you can't do your job). Young lady at cash register 4 with a cross tattooed on her wrist, was annoyed I interrupted her texting. Check cameras about 6pm.

Had experience with 2 different girls at the checkout that COMPLETELY ignored me and seemed aggravated that I went through their line and they actually had to work. They do not need to be in customer service jobs,

Last Friday I went in the store for the first time as I am new to this area. I couldn’t find what I needed but this young lady named Ashley came to me and ask if she could help me. She was sweet enough to go all around the store with me and helped me with my list. She is really an asset to this store and because of her, I will return and do my shopping at Arlan’s Market. I wish more people were like her and take example . I was very touched by her kindness

Their meat is good and decently priced, produce is subpar and prices are of course high on most everything in the store but it’s the closest store to my house and great place to shop when you may not want to drive far and only need a couple of things. Most all of the employees are super nice and friendlier than big box stores

Spent $230 and was actually told by cashier to start loading the cart to give her more room. I asked if they don’t put bags in the cart like they used to (don’t come here often and will Never again) she told me “I am a Cashier, not a bagger”), the Manager stood there and confirmed it is not their job to put groceries in the cart. They were confrontational and rude…..Walmart gives better service and that’s not saying much. I go to Brookshire Brother’s if in Old Magnolia and they have the best Customer Service. This is horrible for Waller. Never coming back again! There are many older people who need help and it saddens me to think of my mother or others who are paying for groceries and receive such poor service from lazy individuals. Putting bags in the cart should be part of their job. So many people have the attitude it’s not my job, I thought Waller was better. The employees used to be considerate and helpful, not anymore. No longer coming into Waller again.

Neighborhood store has everything we needed. Very clean and well stocked. Friendly cashiers, and didn't have to check myself out! Not as low as HEB , BUT didn't have to spend the gas, time or inconvenience of wandering around a huge busy mega mart.

I don't get out very much because I'm old and handicapped some people say kind of grouchy too. I always love going to Arlans's. The stores are always clean and we'll stocked. I always enjoy the fruit and vegetable the fresh because they have good quality and a fairly decent variety of produce.

Went to this location on an evening shift was okay first until I was met with Ms. Ashley a “manager”;she’s nowhere near one. She’s unbelievable rude and has a horrible attitude. I mean no one told her to get a customer service job. She’s looks exactly how she acts, UGLY.Get NEW MANAGEMENT ARLANS.

**UPDATE, spoke with store manager and corporate office after she stalked my Facebook and message me through messenger. Arlans, hire decent people please 😂Imagine being 4 months pregnant almost drinking a cup full of worms. Check your drinks before buying, it might have worms ! Oh and the manager ASHLEY, was horrible.Hire people who actually want to be a manager. It will keep coming back to get new drinks if I keep getting worms.

That feeling of nostalgia walking in, took me back to my childhood. they had everything I couldn't find in the city. My Mom shops often here and always has nice things to say. The checker was very nice and talkative. See ya soon Arlans!

Very nice, old fashioned friendly service. Knowledgeably produce department. Wide aisles make a nice contrast to the jam packed super centers.

It's a relatively small grocery store compared to the Cypress HEB or Kroger so the selection isn't as extensive. That's both expected and acceptable to me. Every staff member I've interacted with since we moved out here has been very polite and the overall experience is less stressful than the crowded "big name" stores up the highway. I'm happy to do business here and keep my neighbors employed.

This store has improved a bit since it was bought out. Still needs a little help in cleanliness, but for the only grocery option in town, it's not terrible. Groceries are moderately priced. The lady working the deli counter is always very friendly. The people working here will keep you shopping here.

I was surprised!! They were quick, friendly and affordable.... Yes QUICK, FRIENDLY AND AFFORDABLE!!! They are so close to us and in the country somewhat so I assumed they were gonna charge me plus some for their inventory but they were really affordable and definitely beat my expectations. Nothing is ever priced correctly, every single time I've been in here I've had to point out the items are not scanning the prices labeled. Even when I opt to buy a different item than I planned just because the price is cheaper and at the register it will be more...and what do they tell me, "sorry"What happened to honor the tag you listed it as?! When I say every time, I mean everytime I come.I'm so over the unhonesty I drive to the next town over usually to do shopping but every once in a while I need a quick item and sure enough, I alway wind up paying more than advertised.

I love this store as well but the manager Lori, is very rude and she has a bad attitude. She has okay customer service at times, but the attitude can be kept to herself. Whatever issues she come into the store with from home needs to change when you come in working with customers and maybe consider taking a customer service class. I would have given more than 3 stars but I have either witnessed or myself have dealt with her on multiple occasions.

Let's be honest, i don't care for the new name in place of Harlans back in the day when customer service meant something, but now, the store is dirty, the produce isn't fresh, and the employees aren't very friendly.The store has gone downhill since the new ownership, and i would rather drive the extra 12 miles to Kroger, than be treated unfairly. Don't recommend shopping here.

Overall, nice in comparison to other rural grocery stores. Meat and produce are usually inexpensive, but anything and everything in the aisles is priced higher than other places. There are "ethnic" items, not a lot, but you can find a few Asian and Caribbean things that are difficult to find elsewhere.
