We visited Pedernales Cellars in early April. The view is beautiful and serene. The young woman who guided us through our tasting was the perfect compliment to the view and the excellent wine we were tasting. She was knowledgeable and personable, a great combination and made the experience very enjoyable. We will 100% be going back on our next visit to Fredericksburg.

What a view!! It was an amazing experience. I have been to many wineries and so far this is my fave. I love Texas wines and then add Spanish grapes it's a winner. Forbes was our tasting expert and he was full of knowledge even when we asked questions he had the answer.

Beautiful tasting room and gorgeous views from the patio! Holly led a fun, informative tasting and the acoustical panels on the ceiling help dampen the noise so you can carry on a conversation. Left with multiple bottles to enjoy at home.

Great wines, loved the mourvédre and GSM. Be advised they have a very limited menu on weekdays with only 5 wines for tastings and glasses. Jeremy was our bar tender and super nice and knowledgeable.

Yes, of course they have excellent wines and comfortable indoor and outdoor seating areas. They also will set you up with a grape stomping session. I enjoyed it immensely! The wine club tasting events are quite enjoyable.

The winery was small and not crowded. The wine tasting was great and Mike was awesome! Ask for him when you book a tasting. The view from the winery is amazing. Definitely take pics!

Great views and delicious wines. The wine club is free to join and ships four times per year. The tasting staff is friendly and the gift shop is amusing, but standard. Tastings were $15 for 7 wines on my visit. The reds were particularly high quality.

This winery has good and quite unique wines and a scenic location. Tasting wines out on the patio, or buying a bottle for a picnic on the vast grounds with great views. A favorite in the TX hill country.

The view and atmosphere was very pretty. We visited and no one else was even there when we arrived. The staff member was nice but definitely overly friendly. We were very upfront about wanting to learn. He did not take any time to explain anything to us. WE asked questions and got little to no response. I personally am not a red wine drinker and explained that to him. 4 of our 6 were red during the Tasting which would have been okay to allow me to learn. Zero. Nada. Our glasses were not cleaned in between and no pallet cleanser. I think he just couldn’t be bothered to be honest. We then went to Becker Vineyards and it was amazing! So friendly and helpful.

I never write reviews but I just had to! We came this weekend to town for the grape stomp. First off, my mom couldn't join bc she got sick. I gave them the shirt so they could resale and they refunded me for my mom! I didn't ask or expect it. We were first to grape stomp and the ladies were holding and entertaining my baby. We go into the tasting room for wine tasting and my daughter spilled water which didn't even phase Jeremy he kindly cleaned it up even though I offered. His knowledge on wine and kind demeanor to my little kids was refreshing. All the wines were amazing and I bought a bottle. When we went outside the ladies offered for us to get our feet in the grapes again. Being first, our feet prints didn't show up well on the shirts. Everyone was incredibly kind and overly welcoming. I can't wait to bring my mom when I'm back in town!

If you are looking for a beautiful romantic place to enjoy a glass of wine without any other expectations this place will definitely do the trick. It was not overly friendly and welcoming, had stunning views, but over all it was just nice to try.

Super cute winery with lots of our door seating and very pleasant views of the surrounding hill country. The winery has a nice selection of red and whites with 1 very good rosé. Their wines are not super sweet and this season they did not have a wine that was sweet. But all of them were very good and the variety offers something for everyone.

The place is incredible and their wines surprised us. I didn't know Texas had this high quality wines to offer and I'm definitely interested to keep trying different wineries in the region. The service and information provided by Forbes (the pedernales representative at the tasting room) was top class. I can definitely recommend this experience to anyone.

We were pleasantly surprised!!! There are no sweet wines here, and I am not a huge dry wine fan, however, all the drys were actually pretty good and easy to drink!! The staff was super nice and the views are beautiful! They allow picnics, so grab a bottle of wine from them and bring your food and enjoy the views!

So this was a spectacular day! I have never experienced Texas wine, but OMG what a fabulous job Jeremy did teaching us a thing or 2, or 3.......or more! I love a day when I truly “feel an experience” and love learning something new! They did a beautiful job making us feel comfortable and safe being at their tasting room during all the Covid craziness. They take all precautions, and were so friendly and you could tell that they “value the customer’s experience”! Don’t miss this one, y’all!!!

Beautiful place with amazing views! Very nice place to spend a family afternoon. We bought a couple of wine bottles and brought our own food, and made a setup a picnic under one of the trees. Moreover, the Staff is very welcoming and friendly. Highly recommend!

I'm a wine club member at Pedernales Cellars so I always make a stop here when I'm in the area to enjoy a glass of wine on their deck that overlooks the hill country. Pedernales has a nice selection of Tempranillo and red blends that are flavorsome. They also have a great viognier. Their main winery is located in Stonewall while their other tasting room is in downtown Fredericksburg.

If you are visiting the area, this is a must stop! Their service is incomparable and the wines are delicious Texas born and raised. Michael served us and he was outstanding- made the trip all the more special. Thank you guys! Will definitely make this place a staple.

Great place to kick back with a glass of wine and a cheese plate. We visited Pedernales Cellars with a large party on a Saturday, and they were very friendly and accommodating. Cathy helped make the whole experience a great one and even had reserved tables set up for our party of 25 when we arrived at the facility. She greeted us upon arrival and worked with our group to choose some wines for us to enjoy on the patio.The service was great, the wine was tasty, and the views were beautiful. I would definitely visit Pedernales Cellars again. Thanks for hosting us and putting up with my husband's crazy birthday crew!

Pedernales Cellar is a favorite of mine when exploring the Texas Wine Country. Their wines are stellar, but it's the beautiful panoramic views of the hill country and quiet peaceful ambiance that keeps me coming back!

Come for the patio and Hill Country views. Really can’t be beat. I love the simple patio vibes here. The entire experience left a little to be desired...maybe live music or something like that to pull it all together? I don’t think we’ll return to this one, but I think you should check it out for the views alone.

My fiancé and I have done a number of winery/cellar tours in the past and decided to do the cellar tour Sunday 8/13/23. It ended up being one of the best we’ve ever done! With the warm weather it’s harvest season now so we were treated to see fermentation/carbonic maceration first hand. We were treated to a few barrel samples as well as an opportunity to visit with one of the wine makers who happened to be onsite. We tried some settling post-crush viogner prior to fermentation and they our amazing guides Holly and Drea answered all of our questions with enthusiasm. Wine is good, view and tour is great. Highly recommend.
