Our Guardian baby had his 5th birthday today. He has been a truly amazing and invaluable addition to our family. He is great with our 4 year old boy and I'm sure will be just as protective of our soon to be little girl. He has become the mascot or our neighborhood and neighborhood kids often ask us to let him out just so they can play with him. Joe has produced breed after breed of stunning, loyal and protective Guardian babies and once you buy from him you are welcomed into the Guardian Family that is as informative as it is supportive.

We got our baby just over a year ago and we could not be happier. As owner of pet sitting buissness we see ALOT of different dogs. Knox is simply the sweetest,loyal social, and loving dig we could have dreamed up. We know that providing quality dogs is not luck. What can't I say about the Guardian Kennel in Waco?!?!?!?! The best of the BEST! Joe is amazing at what he does. All of his GSD's are beautiful, intelligent and in a word incredible. Joe has become an important part of our family for no other reason than we can not stand one minute much less one day with out our baby boy! I can't say enough great things about Joe, all of his babies and the experience of becoming part of the Guardian family.

I don't really know where to start. Our experience with the Guardian Kennel has been amazing. Joseph exceeded every expectation I had from a breeder. I first called Joseph a few months ago when my husband and I started looking around at breeders for a new GS puppy. Everyone I called would tell me their price and availability and not much more. It was strictly business, kind of like if you want a puppy and are willing to pay $xx come and get it. Then I called Joseph and he actually took the time to speak to me and learn a little bit more about what I am looking for, what kind of a home a puppy would be going to and to tell me about his dogs and how they are raised/where they came from. I was so impressed and decided after that first phone call that we would be getting our baby from him. At the time the P litter had just arrived but the Q litter (Sugar and Laso) was to be born in a month or so. I decided to wait on the Q litter as I fell in love with the photos I have seen of Laso. The puppies arrived and we went to visit them at 4 weeks old. Joseph and his wife welcomed us into his home to visit the puppies. Again, I was more than impressed with everything I saw. First of all, Joseph kept the puppies with their mom Sugar in his bedroom along with a couple of other adult dogs living inside the house. I couldn’t believe how good his home smelled with all those dogs inside. Everything was extremely clean. We played with the puppies and I fell in love with Quantam. We had a second pick and weren’t guaranteed we would get him but I had a feeling he’d be ours. We also got to play with Laso outside and meet some of the other dogs. Joseph answered the million questions we had and I knew right away we’d become good friends. Two weeks later we couldn’t wait to see the puppies so we drove down from Fort Worth once again. The puppies were outside this time and we had a great time playing with everyone. Finally the day came to pick up our little boy. On our way down Joseph texted me to let me know the 1st pick was chosen by the other family and it wasn’t Quantam. I was super excited!!! I knew we’d have that little monster. When we arrived, several other families were there to pick up their babies as well. Joseph planned a get together with food and drinks for everyone’s big day. Again, it was fun times and we finally got our baby. We’ve had our Guardian baby for 2 weeks now and couldn’t be happier with him. He is now known as Bruno and we love him oh so much!! Joseph has been very helpful with yet another million questions I’ve had since we got Bruno. He’s always quick to respond and truly cares what happens to these babies once they leave. I could keep writing but really there is no words that could describe how happy with are with our decision to get Bruno from the Guardian Kennel. I’d do it all over again and I will recommend them to everyone I know that may be looking for a GSD. We look forward to many happy years with Bruno! Thank you thank you thank you!! ........ UPDATE: Five years later we are still very happy that we got our puppy from Joe! We still keep in touch and he’s always interested in hearing about how Bruno is doing. Joe even has a private Facebook page for all his dog owners to come together and chat about anything and everything, share advice and photos of our beautiful babies. We now have a 15 month old daughter and Bruno is nothing short of amazing with her. He’s the most beautiful dog and we always get compliments on his looks and demeanor. We always recommend Joe to anyone that’s looking for a German Shepherd puppy. ❤️

We bought a black German Shepherd puppy from the Guardian Kennel 10 days ago. We are extremely happy with our puppy Storm. He is gorgeous and is learning quickly. Our veterinarian was impressed with his health. He was 20 lbs at 9 weeks, so he will be a big boy.Joseph, the kennel owner is awesome and extremely knowledgeable. He stayed in contact with us while we were waiting for the puppy to be old enough to pick up. We loved getting frequent photos of Storm’s growth.The Guardian Kennel facility is well layed out and super clean, and meeting Joseph was a pleasure.If we decided on an additional puppy in the future, we would definitely go back to the Guardian Kennel.I highly recommend giving Joseph a call if you are thinking about adding a German Shepherd puppy to your life.

Our Odin is now 2 years old, supper smart and such a lovable GSD. He’s very relaxed and calm but he does have the German Shepherd protection instinct as well. He’s 2 and weighs in at almost 100lbs. Such a mommas boy. Joe and his family are very nice and knowledgeable about the breed. We will be getting another one from Joe.

Purchased a pup from Guardian Kennels. Found the owner to be very knowledgeable. Has a FB support page for all owners if they choose to participate. As a member of the support page, I can assure you his overall approval rating is spectacular. I have owned German Shepherds for over 30 years now, and my Dutch is the best German Shepherd I have ever owned hands down. Would definitely recommend. When we are ready for another, I will give Joe my business.

I bought my puppy from Joe and his Guardian Kennel in May of 2015. It is now February of 2018, and my pup is darn near flawless. He has loyalty that can't be taught, and protectiveness that can hardly be matched. He is sweet with children, but fierce when any animals find their way on to our 15 acre property. On top of being unbelievably beautiful, he is also extremely alert! Anytime we are in the truck, he is always watching for anyone coming too close. Would reccomend Joe's kennel to anyone looking for a new best friend and protector. Excellent dogs and bloodlines!

The Guardian Kennel is excellent to work with. My Wendy and Dragon dog is beautiful and and a very fast learner. I have never had a better dog. She is mild mannered and she is great with my family. Before The Guardian Kennel I had had 4German Shepherds. All were great dogs and I did breed them for a few litters. I absolutely love German Shepherds. I was searching for a place closer to me to get another, but I wanted a breeder that was as concerned for the breed as I am. I found the Guardian Kennel in Waco and went to visit. I was so impressed with Joe Garcia and his facility. You could see the cleanliness, health of all his dogs and the love that he gave each and every one. We spoke for a long time and I was so impressed with Joe. I knew that if he thought for a second, like me when I bred the few litters that I did, if he wasn't comfortable with me and sure one of his Guardian puppies would not have a good home, like me, he would not have sold a puppy. My first German Shepherd from Joe and his Guardian Kennel was Tank. He had every characteristic of the breed personified. Loyal, loving, kind, protective, intelligent and a wonerful sense of humor. I got Tank mainly for my anxiety and panic attacks as well as a companion. I noticed as he grew that Tank would lay his head on my side and stomached area. But there were times when he would press on me, if I ignored him he would press harder. I just thought he was wanting more loves and attention. Long story short, when he was 9 months old, I got diagnosed with type2 diabetes. So one day, when he pressed on me I wondered, could he be telling me my sugar was high or low? So I got out my test kit and sure enough, my sugar was low. He had been trying to tell me for months that's what was up. What is amazing to me is that Tank was intelligent enough and cared for me so much in that short time, that HE figured out how to alert me. I'm hopefully getting my 2nd German Shepherd this spring from The Guardian Kennel. The only way I'd go anywhere else is if Joe stopped breeding. Joe has a talent to put a male and female German Shepherd together to breed a litter of exceptional offspring. If you are thinking about a German Shepherd, The Guardian Kennel is the place to get one. Much love and respect for Joe Garcia and his dedication to these magestic dogs.

We have had our puppy, Storm, for 7 months. She is a Wendy/Dragon pup and has been nothing short of excellent. She is a quick learner and picks up on new commands with few repetitions. She is playful yet motivated and has blended well with our family. She is great with people, including young children, and other dogs. She is not yet full grown, but already weighs 60 pounds. I cannot say enough how wonderful and happy I am with my new German! Her name is Khaleesi and Joe and the Guardian kennel is fantastic! I was having a hard time the first few days and Joe, the owner of the Guardian Kennel was wonderful with me. I loved dealing with Joe, he's a good man. He truly cares for his animals and is a great people person. I wasn't ready for another dog after the lost of our beloved family member, but after he talked with me and then my wife and children he convinced us to bring the new dog home. I'm not going to say everything he told me but he was correct, but in short he said I'm not replacing my beloved dog, but he well fill that void and help us heal. Well Joe was right about that. I came across a Guardian Kennel dog named Presley at work and talked to his owner and found out all the information about The Guardian Kennel and called the same day. Went by to meet Joe Garcia and was very impressed with how he keeps his home and Kennel. His GSD’s are very well behaved and BEAUTIFUL. I talked to him about possibly getting a pup that has Presley as the father but was told he was breeding using a different male and lucky for me it didn’t work out that way and the pup I got was Presley’s. I have the most beautiful and amazing GSD wouldn’t know what I would do without her she is smart, loving, protective, full of energy and did I mention BEAUTIFUL. If anyone asks me where I got my girl I am always excited to tell them about the Guardian Kennel. I would recommend Guardian Kennel hands down as the dogs are wonderful and price is well worth every penny.

Joe is an outstanding person who always looks to the best interest of his dogs and puppies. His prices are reasonable considering the care, attention, and vet services he does for all his dogs and puppies, including their akc paperwork. He is a German Shepard breeder and several people I know have gotten puppies from him that grew to amazing and gorgeous adult dogs. If something goes wrong he will even find a rehome for a dog returned or a gsd that wasnt one of his but was in a bad situation

Our experience with the guardian kennel has not been a good one to say in the least. We have a contract for an AKC registered puppy and what we got was a $2000 non-registered puppy that we are still having to treat for hookworms, is very small for his age and neither ear has stood up. We’ve been patient for 9 months trying to get either the akc registration or our money back for breach of contract. So let me start from the beginning, after losing our male from dm about 6 months prior we had finally started researching and looking for a good breeder to add a new addition to our family. We had read good reviews on the kennel and even drove 3 hours to visit and inspect the business before making a decision. We originally put our $2000 down on a different puppy but after the breeding male had been changed a couple times we decided to pass and move our money over to a different dog. I saw he had a male available that looked great in the pictures online so we (my husband and I) decided I would drive back out that week look him over and decided. That was our first mistake, I take full responsibility in my lack of knowledge in sizing a puppy, but I took Joe’s word that the puppy was in great condition. Lutz (our dog) was 2 months old at the time I bought him and thanks to my lack of knowledge on how big he should have been I didn’t realize how undersized and per the vet malnourished he was. The day I took him home I took him to our vet and we discovered he was severely infected with hookworms and he was labeled malnourished by the vet. Long story short I’ve been getting the run around from the owner Joe about not only the akc registration but also getting a refund, or what will be a partial refund since I’m not returning my puppy who I’ve had for 9 months and have gotten very attached to despite the constant frustrating issues we keep having, and I don’t want to see anyone else go through this. Although we are going to continue to fight for our money I don’t think we will ever see a dime.

When I first contacted Joe, it was after being to other breeders who were not familiar with tbe breed or unable to provide documentation. I was amazed when it came to Guardian Kennels and his record keeping books! Josey is a fantastic protective playful spirited two and half year old...and she has been tbe best!Update: Josey is 4 yrs old now and still the greatest GSD ever! Josey has been easy to train as she listens and responds to voice commands. Josey remains protective with strangers but is at ease with known family and friends
