We just recently moved to Waco area. I have a 14 1/2 year old dog that has basically always gone to the same vet back home. Switching veterinarians is very nerve wracking and very scary to me as the old veterinarian had ALL of his records, knew his medical history very well and someone that had gained our trust. I searched and searched, google review after google review and hesitatingly made my decision on Barkley— scared I was making the wrong decision… well, I in fact did NOT make the wrong decision. I found Dr. Pippen and his staff to be VERY accommodating and professional, while also having their love for pets shine through. I was actually just there today and Michelle that was up front was walking by and came into the room just to love on my dog. You can tell everyone here is not just there for the paycheck— they truly care! My dog is having surgery there in a few weeks and while I’m super nervous, due to his age, Dr. Pippen answered all of my questions and concerns to make me feel at ease. Highly recommend Barkley AnimalClinic!!

Dr Pipin is brilliant. I paid thousands of dollars at University of Davis Veterinary Hospital in California. When I explained to Dr. Pipin my dogs symptoms, he said it was a classic textbook case. In fact he pulled a textbook off the shelf and showed me! I could have saved a ton of money if I had met him first. ❤️

Not impressed. My dog has been going for awhile and while the staff is wonderful, and the facilities look good I have a problem paying over $300 for blood work and then they act like I don't know what's wrong with your dog. Time to look elsewhere.

I've been taking my fur baby to Barkley Animal Clinic for a long time. Today I had to say goodbye to my 17 year old dog. Dr Pippen, and his entire staff have been so incredible and I want to thank them for all they've done to help me to have as much time as possible with him thru his lengthy illness. Can’t say enough good things!I’m so glad my neighbor referred me here after several less than average experiences here in Texas.My dog means everything to me and I’ve had several animals and pets through the years with lots of experience with different vets >famous holistic and conventional, specialists in the field< in the big city, beach towns, and country.Dr. Pippin EXCELS in ALL.His caring wisdom, knowledge, understanding and bedside manners are exemplary. A great and kind human, plus office staff. I wouldn’t go anywhere else—especially, in the Waco area.😅🌟When you go, think of him as “Columbo” (you know, that private investigator back in the day of your grandparents’s favorite tv series...the place is little and sloppy on the outside (theycould use some sprucing up and extra cleaning, but Dr. Pippin is a genius, with utmost integrity and kind. ;)

Dr. Pippin and his staff are just about the nicest, most caring people I have ever met! Recently, my cat, Frank, got really sick. Dr. Pippin figured out what it was, a blood parasite, and saved Frank's life. It's a long recovery and Dr. Pippin is right there calling me, I am very impressed. I have been going to Dr Barkley for over 20 years. He and his staff are the most knowledgeable, kind, understanding, and they truly love what they do! I recommend Dr Barkley to everyone. He always takes time to explain things and options that take into account not only your pet but cost. There is not any other place I would take my pets. They have been a blessing to my pets and family!

My dog had reverse sneezes from allergies which scared us at first. Needed an appointment to be seen but once Dr. Barkley looked at him, he told me why he thought it was just allergies. He gave us multiple options and prices. The vet was kind, informative, and considerate. The staff was sweet and patient. Price was decent. Found our new vet.

Barkley Animal Clinic was the only veterinary hospital that was willing to see my injured cat within a few hours. They have curbside service only but were quick and efficient and I appreciated their friendliness and professionalism. Highly recommend! ❤

I have a shelter dog that has Heartworms pretty signifigantly....and Dr. Barkley has offered every conceivable suggestion to try to get rid of them, without having to resort to surgery.
