Spent my lunch hour in here trying to find an employee to help me find an item. When I finally found someone, Tammy, she made it clear that I was bothering her. I already had the product pulled up on my phone with the SKU number to make it easy for her however, when she looked at my phone, the particular place that the screen was at didn’t show the picture of the product or the SKU and she says with such attitude “how can I even help you if I can’t even see it”. So I am taking my business elsewhere. Mind you, the product showed in-stock online and there were PLENTY of associates in the store so not a matter of “not enough help”. Super disappointed.

I found everything I was looking for and was able to get checked out quickly. There was no wait to be checked out. The staff are attentive, asking me several times (by different staff) if I needed assistance (I did not), but it was appreciated. Would love to see more women's shoes in sizes higher than 8 and 9 in stores though.

Paid on line after hrs to be sure I got what I wanted before they sold out.(just in case) The next morning my order was ready before the store opened. They give you the option to pick up in store or curbside. They came out with my purchase within a couple minutes of checking in, and loaded it in the car and as always nice friendly service.

Visited this store with my dad. He was shopping for slip on tennis shoes and a couple of shirts. The store was clean and well stocked. All the workers were friendly/helpful. In particular, the person that checked us out went above and beyound!

This place carries quite a few things I need regularly. Ammo and a few smaller items. Great shoe section with competitive prices on everything. They could carry some better brands and they’re a little too “Walmarty” for my style, but works in a pinch.

My son bought some clothes he couldn't try then on as the people had the changing rooms blocked and said they were closed - the store was still opened for over an hour. He had to take items back the next day that didn't fit and we had to stand in a line of about 50 people they had the 2 people at the customer service checking people out and 1 other register opened , pure craziness and extremely poor management

It is a very disorganized store clothing on the floor and no one cares to pick up. Hard to locate items. Looks like a Waco store... Temple and Killeen Texas stores are more organized and always making their store Presentable and keeping it organized!

Academy has been consistently getting ammo during these times of need. I've been on too many opening mornings & feel sufficiently stocked. Thanks Academy. I changed my 1 star review as it appears D1ck Head Sr no longer works there.

Everything and anything you're looking for will be here waiting for you!! We travel from the Belton area just to come to this location.The staff is super friendly and helpful!! They also have the largest collection of Brooks I have seen at any Academy!!

Academy always has nice clothes to choose from. We mostly get my husband clothes for work and the Magellan shirts are one of our favorites! We have also bought shoes; cleats; bats; baseball gloves and fishing gear. It's definitely a great store to go to for outdoors and sports gear.

A lot of selections of summer wear in doors and outdoors, everything for your summer time fun. The Waco Academy Sports on Saturday evening was messy in men's clothes area and no one was around to pickup/clean up department 😑 photos are of the area that was in better condition 👍

I work retail the same as the team lead and store managers at Waco TX Academy.I asked to speak to the manager for a simple request. Trying to make a quick return on my break..Mykala was disrespectful…Worst Academy Sports Ive ever shopped at.

Today around 6:00 pm, I went to this store, nothing was wrong until I got to the cash register to pay, there I received bad service from the cashier, she was in a bad mood, I wanted to pay with cash and she said she only accepted card, I politely asked where I could pay cash and she was just very rude. It's not my fault you're having a bad day, just do your job well. I think she got upset because I was speaking Spanish, but I wasn't talking to her.

Stopped here on sat and sun before Christmas. Sat 3 cashiers, sun...2. With close to 50 people in line both times. Meanwhile, other employees are casually sweeping. By far, it was the worst academy I've been to.

two store employees were arguing with each other some old white guy and old white lady and talking about threatening people or something and I'm like complete turn off like why are y'all having this conversation at the front so not buying anything today and they should be fired like why do that in the front really

Whoever packages items from this store needs serious training. My Stanley cup was packed in a thin polymailer which ofcourse arrived dented. Ruined a Christmas present for my relative.

We got a bad deal just for speaking Spanish. We just wanted to pay and I didn't accept cash. He thought it was bad just because he spoke differently.We like to shop there. Today they made us feel bad.

Went to purchase a dog pen I saw online. The only problem was that I had to walk all over the store to find it! I was about to give up after 3 employees "helped" direct me the right way. I finally found it ! It was on the bottom shelf, pretty easy to see once I had found it. I just wish someone would have helped me actually find it. Sometimes the finger pointing doesn't really help at all. Other than that, it appears to be a good buy.

Staff is always welcoming and the store is clean. I usually find what I'm looking for. They have a decent selection of sneakers and clothes, at reasonable prices. I mostly do "order online" and pick it up at the store. I never have to wait to get my packages, just make sure you have a valid ID with you because they ask for it.
