I bought 2 Guinea pigs and were told they were both female. They were in a cage together labeled female. One was Actually Male and now I have 4 babies on my hands......dont trust these people. They have no clue! I wanted 2 female to avoid this......Not to mention the parents developed the mange 1 week after I brought them home.....balding. luckily I cured them but that shows they dont take care of them.

Northside Ranch Pet & Garden Center leaves much to be desired. The lack of friendly and appreciative staff is disheartening, although the fact that they actually show up for work is somewhat commendable. However, the turnover of new employees suggests a deeper issue. During my visit, I experienced extreme rudeness and invasive behavior from a staff member who followed me throughout the store. The bunny cages were filthy, and I felt rushed and uncomfortable throughout my entire visit. Regrettably, I didn't capture any photographic evidence of the ordeal. Needless to say, I won't be returning.

I love this place, they have unique boutique items along with ranch supply! They also carry Victor dog food along with great dog friendly pawfumes which are super hard to find! Try this place out, you’ll love it!!

An excellent family oriented shopping experience. Was able to purchase the exact item I was looking for, at a great price. I highly recommend shopping here for all your lawn and garden as well as your farming and ranching needs. Awesome customer service and interaction.

Were very rude and a lady followed us throughout the whole store. The bunny cage were very dirty and the whole time we were in there she stood over us. We were very rushed and will not be going back. I wish i had gotten pictures.

Rarely do you get a smiling face or thank you, but they show up for work. That's something nowadays. Usually the newest employees are the friendliest but they don't last long.

They have a good selection, they're the only place in town that sells my horses' feed. Also good customer service, they've always been polite to me. My biggest complaint is the SMELL. I don't know how the employees stand it every day, or how it hasn't been mentioned in other reviews. I get in, get what I need, and get out asap because it's honestly nauseating. If another local store sold my horses' feed, I wouldn't go here solely because of the smell.

Great service,I called in order and then did a drive through to get my pup's dry food. The lady who took my call over the phone was very helpful. The young men who loaded my order as drive-through were great. I will definately continue to use them.

Went in today for horse blankets and when checking out asked if any behind the counter were a specific size and was told they were on hold for someone. Called back later today to see if they could hold 1 horse blanket for me and I’d come get it and they said we can’t hold any it’s first come, after i was told in store earlier the ones behind counter were on hold. Got there and they were all sold out on the shelves. Really disappointed in customer service here. Thank goodness there are other places in town willing to set one aside while I frantically drive all over Victoria searching for one. I was not offered to prepay, which would have been super helpful to me. I could have prepaid and just picked up. The courtesy was not extended to me.

Was an awful place to work in my experience (2016/2017). I hope that has improved greatly over the past years for new workers. The store itself, it's pretty good shopping for your pet & ranch needs. Most everyone knows what they are talking about and most have been working there for dozens of years. Though, when in doubt, always ask your Vet if it comes to such a conclusion instead of store employees.

What a horrible experience. Very poor customer relations. Today I purchased an $11.17 product. When I got home part of the product was missing. I called the store back and spoke with a Manage named Wade. He stated the product I purchased was received in full he knew this because he personally packed the products in their boxes and sealed them himself. I explained the product I had was in an unsealed box and part of it was missing. He said I could only return the product if he was there at the store. I asked to him if he would still be at the store in 40 min. because I live out of town and would take that long to get there. He said he should be. I drove the 40 minutes back to the store and was greeted by him. He accused me of stealing the two missing parts. I explained to him the box was not sealed and the parts were missing. He again refused to replace the parts or exchange the product or give me store credit or even give me my money back. Remember this in all in the same day over an $11 product. I have always been a loyal customer and a returning customer. NOT ANYMORE. Seriously who in their right mind ends a loyal customer relationship over $11. He then turned rudely asked me if I wanted to keep the product I purchased and I stated no, "what good is it to me, it's missing it guts." Then I kindly smiled and stated, when Karma says hi, remember my face. So sad, I should have purchased online, I would have gotten a lot better customer service. Oh well, life lesson.

Nice place. Crickets are kinda pricey and their small crickets are kinda large, but they take GPay and the staff is super nice. The store is easy to get to, easy to park in, and had a decent variety of goods.

Review is for the pet department ONLY, not the store as a whole. The pets looked to be in horrible condition. Tiny cages, practically no bedding, no hides. Two rabbits were jumping around on bare metal cage bottoms. There was a rat running on a wheel that was abusively small for his size, he looked like he was going to break his neck. Disgusting water dishes. The only animals that seemed to have relatively decent enclosures were the reptiles. I wish I had taken pictures, but I was so in shock at the terrible conditions.

I can always call in advance and they have what I need ready for me to pickup. And it's the only place I buy my seeds for my garden every year. Very friendly and knowledgeable staff

I've been buying my mice here for the last two years. Only because they are the only place that sells feeders. Normally its welcoming but the last time I went they gave me the dirtiest looks like why would I come in 25 minutes before they closed.Their animals always look sickly and are way over priced. They need to think things over before they act rude towards their customers.

If I could give 0 stars I would. This place is horrible, the staff are unhelpful and unfriendly, I’ve been to this place numerous times and only once has anyone who worked there ever said hello or asked if I needed assistance. The animals are sickly and taken care of improperly. Their gold chested Macaw has 1 tiny toy and not a single visible perch! Poor thing was throwing a fit the entire time I was in the store, she was on the floor of the cage when when I left. It’s obvious there is little interaction between the staff and the animals besides maybe feeding. Do not support this place and they’re cruel animal care!

Went in looking for a female bunny for my Goddaughter. We were ignored by the female employee working in the back. She only talked to us when she said if we weren’t buying that we had to leave because she was closing the pet area. Mind you we were there for 15-20 minutes before she even said that. Then when my Goddaughter asked if the bunny she wanted was female the employee said she didn’t know and had no way of telling. Very disappointed in how we were treated.

The store is nice, and has a good variety of products. The manager and some of the employees are very rude. I spend over $100 each month on pet supplies, and this is not the type of pet store owner/management I choose to deal with. After 8 months of loyalty to this store, I will now be taking my business else where.

I love the animals talkative, animals are cute cuddly . Employees will help you and with anything and everything they always have good deals and like not prizes but rewards.. and they got eye candy from All saints and forms guts guts boots but some trees and deer feeders and cattle and guards and they don't got it it ain't to be gotten

This location does not understand what Customer service is all about. I believe the management here may need to reevaluate their approach on Customer Service. I called for heart de-wormer information and the male I spoke to was very rude and hung up on me. One star for not understanding customer needs and lack of knowledge on items sold at this store.

I used to love going to Northside even though I’d heard quite a few negative things about them. After a few days ago, I will never be returning. The employees are extremely rude, even upon entering the store they had a sour attitude. Their animal room had roaches crawling all over. Some birds mismarked. A budgie also seemed to be in poor condition, it looked like he had bad scaly face.
