We didn’t mind the hour drive to get to this volunteer animal hospital. We got Trini (Citrine) neutered, rabies injection and ear tipped for $15. Trini was up and tearing around the house that day (We’ve decided to make him an indoor cat). And it’s so important to help keep the feral cat population down. We always get the females spayed and had been going to a vet in Beeville but that can get a bit expensive. We have quite a herd of outdoor cats. Necessary as we live out in the country and they keep the rodent population down. I would definitely recommend Acres of Animals.

Took 3 cats that were perfectly healthy to this location for spay services last week. All three came home with infections and were extremely sick. A mixture of poor environment / dirty tools. The urgent care facility charged $1600 per cat to clean up the butchered surgery given to our cats including cutting out all infected tissue. $30 sounds cheap but you'll end up paying nearly $2000 in the end per cat if you want your pets to live afterwards. I do not recommend supporting poorly ran facilities like this.

My sister took her family’s support kitten to get fixed here and within 2 days she passed away! I cannot believe it! What a horrible tragedy! From the reviews, it seems this happens often. I do not recommend this establishment to anyone. Absolutely disgusted. 🤮 God bless you people.

I took my kittens here to be fixed. I have taken a lot of cats and kittens to be fixed here. Unfortunately when I took my kittens last month 2 of them got sick and died. They still are not sure what happened. They do 20 -50 cats on Wednesday and Saturday and it rarely happens, but it does happen. These are the 2 that died. I take care of 9 cats and the rest had no problems

Dr. Cochran is great and knows her stuff, she's very down to earth and matter of fact. When I've needed medications for my current pup, and my wallet has been thin, she's worked with me. Taking an already stressful situation, a miserable dog with allergies, coupled with my worries about her and lack of funds, Dr. Cochran melted those troubles away. My pup gets excited to see her, that's how great Dr. Cochran is!!!

The veterinarian informed me of everything I needed to know about the 11 feral cats we took in and I picked up after the spaying/neutering of each one. There were sweet cats lying around the place and they all looked very content and healthy with thier lives. The vet and the staff were friendly, polite, and caring. We will definitely continue using them!

Had res for Thanksgiving for my 2 big dogs. Well, a little Doxie showed up in my yard and no one claimed him. So asked it he could kennel up with us as we also had a Guinea Pig. Lol. No problem they said. So all turned out excellent. One of Dr Cochran’s staff took in the little doxie and made him hers.Happy ending for all

I CANT STRESS THIS ENOUGH DO NOT TAKE YOUR PETS HERE!!! I’ve taken my cats here to get spayed and within days they were gravely ill, I spent $1000 on their vet bills because of the screw ups this place caused. My friend recently took her cats here to get spayed and now they are dead. Within days they got sick because of infection from this surgery and died. They are dead because of this place. Please, I’m begging you to please not take your pets here. We always went because it was cheap but now I know there’s a reason why. The cats outside look sickly themselves and the area is just dirty in general. There are many non profits that spay and there’s also vets that have payment plans. If you take your cats here to get spayed/neutered you’re giving them a death sentence. I wish someone had warned us, the most I can do now is warn you guys.

Received my "Buddy", a rescue thru them and a friend.. he's still learning the house rules, he loves his cave ( cage ), he's getting the hints and understanding that the grandkids beds are off limits.. he's been there a few times as a overnight or weekend guest and doc has been great with his needed care...

I took a healthy momma cat and 5 healthy playful kittens. I was trying to do the right thing by getting them spayed/neutered. As others have stated in reviews here within 2 weeks, 2 kittens have died. 2 more and the momma cat are very sick and after a $400.00 vet bill today to try and save them it appears inevitable they will Die a grueling death also, had I known and read the reviews I would have had them euthanized today because the deaths are painful and not something I want to see over and over. They are suffering and I can’t do anything to help them. Please do your research. Statements regarding the facility cleanliness and the overall process was not pleasant at all. I am broken hearted, All of the animals deserve better.

This places has hundreds of cats roaming around. When called about a kitten found on the side of the road they would not help @adopt a pet would not help either. Was told to take to animal control where a 4 week old kitten will probably be put to sleep.

Acres of Animals is a wonderful place to board your pets. I have used their service for over twenty years and have always appreciated the love and care my pets have received from everyone on the staff. On one occasion they went well beyond the norm to care for my dog. I have boarded my dogs, cats, and even my parrot. Reasonable rates and outstanding service equal the place to trust with your much loved pets.

I've been taking my cat's and my 3 dogs here for 12 years. For me it's been a comfort knowing that the people are not going to charge me an arm and a leg. They're reasonable, there are no add ons or surprises. It's a flat fee. This last time I went there I asked if they could give them flee med's and much to my relief she happily yes ma'am we give them flee, rabies, kitty parvo, and if you'd like we can clip their ears so you know that they've been taken care of. I asked her how much that would be she responded back with a reasonable rate.In times of emergency I've had to take my pets to other vets and I walk out feeling like someone just robbed me. Like they've taken their skill to line their pockets meanwhile I have no money left over for even a snack. Not to mention the red tape just to get to see the vet. It's just not convenient.This is just one persons opinion. Take it for what it's worth I hope it's helps someone make a good decision for themselves.

I have brought 6 cats to be seen by Dr. Cochran. She's one of the best vets in the area. All of our cats returned to us in excellent condition and recovered from post-spay/neutering procedures rapidly. All except one, but Dr. Cochran gave our momma kitty (who also needed to be spayed) an antibiotic to clear up a minor infection that she got after the procedure and it was gone in 3 days.

Took both my healthy female cats to get spayed 2 days ago and now they are both very sick. Happened before about a year ago took a male cat to get neutered and not a week later he got sick and died. I don't know what's going on over there but I don't recommend taking yalls animals over there

I board my dog there as well. They truly care and do their best to help find homes for stray, or unwanted pets.,
