Wonderful experience! While passing through on a road trip was looking for a pet friendly place to take a break. Arrived as they were closing, they offered to stay open and cook for us, everything was fresh and delicious! After they brought out the food, they told us if we needed anything to let them know while they were cleaning and closing up for the evening. Prices are cheap for the quality of food, was surprised.It was nice to support local! They didn't have public restrooms, no problem.We sat outside and enjoyed the food and break from riding in the car.Will definitely stop here again if we are passing through!

On our way to DFW we decided to stop at this little place. When I tell you this place is SO DAMN GOOD! we got our food super quick and the staff was attentive and made sure we had everything we needed. We got the double meat and fried rice and it came out PIPING HOT! it looked a little bland but looks were deceiving because it was DELICIOUS! Highly recommend anyone who's stopping through to try this place!

Very cool 50's theme little burger joint. There is indoor and outdoor seating and a drive through. Not as fast as fast food service, but much tastier. The burger meat was a huge portion. Options for additional toppings. The chunky french fries had seasoning salt and were crispy on the outside and soft inside, yum!My fried had a fried catfish basket which her and the kiddos liked. There is a railing around the covered outdoor area that makes it very family friendly (helps with the herding of cats 😉). Very conveniently located close to the highway and with plenty of parking on all 3 sides of the restaurant. Gas stations closeby so you can fill up your tank and tummies.

Great small place with huge burgers and fries. Heard the make a mean fried rice too. Might be back sooner than I expected! Service was top notch. Highly recommend when traveling through.

We always travel to see family there in Vernon. And we always stop and get a burger. It’s the best burger. We stopped yesterday afternoon and the lady in front was so nice and friendly. So we went back around 3 to purchase some ice and sodas. I asked the Manager of the place ti purchase some ice and soda, when I asked her for the ice she was very rude and told me we don’t have any. We was just there and the lady gave us some. But the MANAGER REFUSED to give me any ice I wasn’t asking for a handout with there ice I was willing to pay because I was going to purchase some sodas also. But when I was fixing to walk out she said, we have some ice. Very disrespectful MANAGER

They have new owners is what I heard. They still have great tasting food however; the prices have gone up a little, they close at 7 now instead of 8 and the burgers are a bit smaller than they used to be (my pic is how big they used to be) but they are still very tasty!!!They finally take debit cards now!!! 👌🏼👍🏻😃🙂

The sign out front said Frosty Root beer is served, they no longer serve those. It's advertised as a 50's themed burger place, I didn't get that vibe though. I ordered extra bacon for a dollar extra, I got one slice curled up in the middle of the thin burger. Once we ordered our food, the staff made the food and we weren't checked on once. The onion rings were sweet and I really didn't taste any onions. The servings were Large, I had. Single patty hamburger and it did fill me up. If you're hungry it'll do.

Food was ok. Place was pretty dated and the selection of drinks was very limited. Waitress was prompt but didn't seem very attentive. Ordered double meat burger with cheese and bacon. Had 1 piece of bacon for the additional dollar. Charged 50 cents extra for onion rings instead of fries. Only 4 and a half onion rings in the serving and they tasted like frozen onion rings you get from Walmart.

One of the best hamburgers in Vernon. Also great shrimp basket. Very small place to dine in, but very fast service trough pick up or drive through. In Vernon Texas do not miss this oneParking: Very small place about 6 cars in lot but most business is drive through and pick-up. We have had no problem parking and eating there

The place itself is a hole in the wall. Usually you get pretty good food at places like this. But I caught a glimpse of the kitchen and kinda didn't want to eat there anymore, but I had been on the road for several hours and just wanted to eat. It was very filthy looking. The burgers themselves were decent at best.

Great stop for road-trip burgers! Skip the fast food joints on 287 and come over here instead. Really good food in a super cute old diner with plenty of outdoor seating and a drive through. We called ahead while driving, and our burgers and tater tots were ready on arrival. Others said burgers were small, so we ordered doubles - which was totally unnecessary. They were huge! Definitely coming back next time we're on the road.
