I shop here all the time, and besides prices being a little high I normally have no complaints. But today I went to buy 2 lbs of russet potatoes and ask where's the scale? "Oh people didn't use it so we got rid of it". How the heck are you going to sell vegetables by weight and take away the method of weighing. Anyway, I eye balled it and now I have 4.6 lbs of potatoes so that's great.

Descent little grocery store, limited products which is fine because it's not run by a multi billion dollar corporation, bread dept pretty limited, good idea to check sell by dates on products especially meat dept, I go there as much as possible to try and spend money in my community but not where I would go to stock up on a weeks worth of groceries, I hope the locals here keep supporting them because Venus would be at a loss without this store.

Great selection for the size of the store and location, I usually find what I need when I have to stop in. Their fresh harvest line of honey wheat bread was unexpectedly really fresh and tasty!

The store in Venus has really improved their produce section. I make a special trip just to buy my husband's weekly haul of jalapenos. (He eats about 3lbs of them a week!) Now if you only carried my favorite greek yogurt, I would not grocery shop anyplace else.

The only item their lovely store didnt carry was Belvita breakfast biscuits.They are so good.I bought the Yoplait Yogurt different flavors bc they were on sale at 10 for $6.The employees were all willing to show me where the items were located.A very nice gentleman bagged my groceries and took them out to my car.

This used to be a pretty good store. Changes in caring management, low regard for cleanliness, employees who can't stay off their phones and an overall lack of good choices on the shelves have destroyed it. I just drive out of town or get stuff delivered from better stores these days. I will be happy when we get a real grocery store in Venus.

Ive shopped at this store for over a year i have found the staff to be mostly friendly. The products are a bit pricy, forcing me to buy at other competitors for many basic items. The store over all is dated the shelving needs to be updated along with the aesthetics of the interior/exterior Over all i like shopping the store.But improvements would make shopping easier and attractive for shoppers to return and stay shopping longer.

Let's start by saying I understand they are a small store in a small town. They are the only game in town when it comes to buying groceries unless you want to drive a little further to shop Wal-Mart, which will happen from here on out.Now on to the store itself. Very, very little produce to speak of and a majority of what they do have caters to the Hispanic population. The bread aisle, or should I say the bread shelf, was a joke. Plenty of their own brand which felt like a plastic wrapped brick. The aisles are way too narrow. Then we move to the meat department. The meat is entirely overpriced but, again, they are a small chain there for convenience only. There were several packs of various meats marked for quick sale but still were stout for meat that was turning odd colors and should have been clearanced out two days earlier. But when you move down just a little to the bacon, lunchmeat and hot dog section you will see things that will cause you to put anything you may have in your cart back and walk out. Gray colored bacon. Pretty sure colored bacon isn't some new trend. The wieners were fully stocked but about an inch of the end of the things were the prettiest shade of green. EVERY SINGLE PACKAGE. Maybe, just maybe they were Saint Patty's hot dogs but I have my doubts. Not a single one was marked down, not that I would have bought them anyway.I had a list going in of about ten items. Out of the ten they actually had one. ONE! When I spotted the wildly colored meats I decided to put my one item back and move on.Bottom line, this was my first and it will be my last visit to this store. Never again. I know there are stores in this chain that are better but two cars in the parking lot should have been a clue to stay out. Unfortunately, Wal-Mart will get the business from this little hole in the wall. You'd be better off going to the convenience store next door. Save yourself and stay away!

Very nice works and Management. Expect when I try to call them to see if they are open there phone is out of order I've talked to one of the managers she said that she's tried to tell several times.

they seem to be out of stock on like specific staple items. The ONLY reason I keep coming back is they seem to be the only store within a 25 mile radius that has Flaming Hot Double Hot Cheetos in stock. But I know what I was looking for wasn’t caught up in a transit issue, another stores had them. Like if you’re needing a specific item, please skip this place and go straight to Midlothian or Mansfield.Seeking: La Moderna noodles. And whole shelf was empty. Like tumble weeds.

I only hit this place up to get at their coinstar machine. But I've been here at other times to do some regular grocery shopping, and this place isn't that bad. Like most places like this, my only concern is the prices. The service is great and the staff is friendly. But sometimes the prices on some item can be reasonable while prices on other things can be rediculous. But, if you have one close to you, then you're probably offsetting the cost of gas with the cost of their products.

The issue that I've had most of this place is the office hours like if you want to send money through Western Union the hours are good if you can get any service because management is garbage. They are usually standing in the back jerking each other off giggling like today the only person actually working was running the register with a line of customers had a broken foot while 5 other employees stood in the back storage room playing patty cake

When I called the lady to ask if they have had she said"I don't know I'm not outside" ....... well obviously, I will not be shopping there ever again the food sucks and prices are high so that was basically the last straw. Maybe you should get off your lazy rear and be able to answer a customer question. It doesn't take much to see if you see people pumping gas when you look out a store window. Let me know if you need a real manager to run your store.

There is ALWAYS someone in this store w/o a mask ... ever since May 2020. They even have signs saying masks are "suggested". Most of the staff have their mouths covered, and noses not covered. Only use this place as last resort. Walmart down the road is soooo much better, and safer!

I hate this grocery store. I avoid it as much as possible. I will only purchase something from here as long as it's not produce or dairy because they spoil so quickly. I only go on emergency occasions.The staff have problems. They play around at the expense of the customers. From the female manager to the office personnel to the bag boys. Its ridiculous.

As per norm, I was able to find those things I needed except for one which I normally have to ask about an as usually they had what I needed which makes my trip quick and easy.Thanks to those who work in the store I concededly use.

This grocery store is the town theif. The prices for basic things are nearly 5x's what other stores price it. Its a disgrace that they rob their fellow Venus citizens. I feel sorry for our senior citizens that are on a fixed income or the mother who feeds multiple children. Whoever determines the price of things should be ashamed and the managers aswell for not speaking up.

I live in Alvarado, but will often go here for things I need on the spur of the moment. I also refill my drinking water jugs here, they have a machine outside. The staff is always nice & friendly.

One girl is extremely rude been through her line before, never speaks or smiles, acts like she's mad and don't like her job. Bought 2 fashion masks they're selling but getting home says on back "not medical mask" don't think they should sell something with false advertising.
