I needed things and they have them. Wide spot across the street on the rd was a nice thing for me. It had rained and leak puddles were on the floor in every aisle. No one was cleaning them up at all. No buckets to catch it. Just puddles. No signs, hope no one falls.

Everytime I go in this Dollar general in Vega, I have every employee follow me around the store, watching my every move, and then don't bother to offer help, however it's so quiet in there that I hear them whispering to each other to "keep an eye on me" and "don't let him out of your sight" and when I go to check out they look me up and down, side to side, I guess to see if I have any products stashed away in my clothing. I have never stolen from there, I've only been there twice, I don't even live in Vega, I'm from Amarillo and work in Vega, and when I go into that place I go in with my manager uniform on from the company I work at so I look professional, I don't look like a theif. I will never go back to that store ever again and I suggest you don't either

Place was very pleasant and young lady working there was very sweet and nice to help me find some clear packing tape for my cover on a delivery I had.. very windy day and was worried about it tearing off....she knew exactly what I needed and where the better tape was and in a better 2 fer package....was nice to find such help far from home ... This place is way better than the ones we have near us ... The people who work at ours locally seem to be more worried about there cell phones and act like your interupting them to check you out.....dam shame ....but here was like it should be... Friendly ...helpful...and feeling of old town hospitality....I will gladly stop here again if passing thru just to give a little business to if I can ..... thanks Pauly

They'll usually have what you need. The clearance section is fun to look through & you can visit with someone you haven't seen around town in awhile.
