Very nice owners, were right there when needed something. Room was nice, mostly clean…..bathroom could have been cleaner but nothing to complain about. Ice was inconvenient and since it was kept in owners home, it had taste and smell of their food.But would stay again

It was a dark and rainy night.(yes literally ) I couldn't see to continue driving so this was an unplanned stop but a pleasant surprise. Yes it's older and showing its age but clean enough and comfortable. It's cute, kitschy, vintage Rt 66 motel. I would stay here again great value, in fact I would stay in nothing but places like this if I could. Give them your business.

The room is clean. The front office is professional. Room included a refrigerator (and yes, it was clean inside), a coffee maker, a reasonably sized TV with a few hundred channels, and perfectly functional AC. Hot water worked great (although it wasn't busy, so there wasn't much competition).I would come back to this motel (and I more than likely will). Overall, a very nice motel at a very reasonable rate.Clean and modern rooms at an affordable rate.

The best little motel I've stayed at! Usually, I say you get what you pay for, but this was much better than that.It is a well maintained drive up motel, with a calm and safe atmosphere - just like I imagine it used to be during the peak of Route 66. It was super easy to book, the staff was very friendly and attentive, and the room was great - it was cleaner than most chain motels! Definitely recommend.

If you come here, don't judge it from the outside (because it looks run down). In reality, the rings are very clean, relatively updated and nice, large bathroom and also a microwave, mini fridge, TV and office desk/chair. King sized bed was very comfortable as well! For only $60 a night on route 66, this is an excellent place to spend a night before you get back on the road.

We got caught in a blizzard/whiteout last night and had an unplanned stop at this hotel. The front desk was fast and courteous. The room we stayed in ( Room 121) was modern/ retro - not dated. Upholstery is fresh, carpet is clean and wel kept. TV is modern flat screen with full selection of channels. Microwave, fridge. Bathroom is fresh and modern with totally new tile flooring, new marble shower, new toilet new Granite sink area. The beds are new and modern, very comfortable! This motel is very accessible from the highway. We found it in a blinding snow storm. It was an extremely fair value as compared to price. I am from Virginia and have no connection to this motel and offer my objective review.

I stay in a lot of motels all over the country.This was the best motel shower I've had in a long time! Instant hot water and plenty of pressure!The bed was super comfortable and the place is right off the highway just far enough to be quiet all night.Love the U-shaped setup too, all room doors are visible from the front office. Adds a nice feeling of security.What a pleasant surprise!

The Bonanza Motel definitely had a vintage feel to it. No frills, but cleanliness and customer service was excellent. My mother is extremely picky about cleanliness, but based off the reviews we booked it. We were not disappointed! Owners are super sweet and would definitely stayed longer if it was necessary. Bottom line, don't judge a book by it's cover!

My review reflects what so many others have said. It's not glamourous from the outside, but so nice inside. For Route 66 enthusiasts, like me, this is a gem! The inside was like it may have been like some 50 years ago and so pristine! Why would anyone want to waste there time with one of those brand name places by the freeway? It was so quiet here. I would also say that it had the best price-to-value of the 12 places I stayed on this trip. For a simple motel it had to have had the largest bathroom of them all. Vega also has a special charm about it being so small.

Stayed 5/5/22 during a cross country drive. Easy on/off the I-40. Fast, courteous check in/out. Vega is a small town, but it's fair enough to say the Bonanza is centrally located. Found a great little diner down the road as well as gas. Simple, no frills, but it was clean and everything worked nicely. Nice stop for a nights rest before getting back on the road and reasonable rates.Thanks for a great stay, I plan to return next May!

Dirty, cold, and old. We checked in around 1am so really just wanted some good sleep, but I got nearly none. The walls were so thin that you could hear room-level conversation and showers in the next room. The heater kicked on and off all night but even when set on 82, it was still cold enough to shiver under blankets. Nothing was clean including hair inside the microwave. They also questioned my ESA animal status so had to pull up proof. The bed and pillows were awful and old. The only thing redeeming is it's convenient location near the interstate (on route 66).

Great cheap CLEAN place. Family owned and still had touches of the 50's. Avocado green and pink!This place is great for a safe quiet restful night. Beds were firm but very clean. Room smelled nice and was also clean. breakfast consisted of coffee, variety of cereals and oj.Older gentleman didn't speak much English, but we still chit chatted and shared a laugh. Very nice man. We even woke him at 2 am to check in.I'd stay again if we ever passed through.

Place was very nice, quiet and clean. Comfortable bed. Got a great night sleep. I highly recommend this motel over the chain motels. The young lady in the office was very nice as well.

Good place, comfortable bed. A bit outdated, but very clean and with renovated bath/shower. Also convenient office work: a desk with office chair in the room. Great value for the price!

Remodeled bathroom, room was clean. Had a mini fridge, microwave, tv and free wifi. The A/C was not on when we arrived but worked very quickly to cool the room. Pet friendly!

My wife was scared because I've suggested hotels In Arizona and had to leave after looking at the rooms, So I asked the clerk if we could look at the room prior to deciding. It was very late and he was understanding. The room was clean with no weird smells or major damage or fear of murder. So we decided to stay. Very agreeable to my senses. Would recommend if youre not sure on this one. Its on my radar of safe friendly agreeable hotels, if you're on the road and looking for an overnight.

It is definitely a 2 star hotel. It looks and feels old. However it gets 5 stars from me because of the insanely amazing old school showers. Building is old but the bed was surprisingly comfy. Seriously though, after a whole day of driving all you need in the morning is a nice hot wall of water hitting you in the face.Looks shady at night, thought I was gonna die or get mugged or my car left on blocks with the wheels missing however it turned out to be quite comfy with amazing showers!Whaddya know.
