Fine little country store. Nice people. They let us hang out to watch the eclipse. Bonus was all the cool bikes and cars we got to see.

Thank goodness for this place. This is absolute God's country, and there's nothing else in the immediate area. If you need ice, beer, snacks, you'll be really thankful coming across this mini-mart. It was a life-saver.

Loved, loved, loved this general store. It felt like the old times stores- the one my grandparents had on their property from way back. The shelves weren’t fully stocked, but had necessities. Bathrooms were just a single bathroom/1 person at a time (no stalls), but the woman’s/Does was clean. The gentleman who ran us up was so friendly and was really nice to my son who is on the spectrum. Friendly staff can really make or break a place. Also, just sitting outside to stretch your legs was great - pretty scenery and a few cool rides. We can’t wait to go back to Lost Maples and will gladly stop into the general store again.

The store was cool but stocked mostly beer and very few diet sodas to choose from. Food truck was awesome. RV park does not have showers. Not a good thing for a camper without a shower inside with the hot weather we experienced during our stay. Also the bathroom is a one person at a time which is a bad situation in the am. Lol

Great winery and vineyard. Covid friendly. Best part it has a great selection of wines and allow small tastings to help decide which wine you wish to purchase. I gave them a five star cause added to this was a pinic table down by the river with a super romantic view that help me really connect with my date.

I was on a 10-day motorcycle trip through the hill country when I stumbled on this place. I love small, locally owned, local color shops like this. I had a sandwich and a black cherry soda, and even picked up some travel books from one of the shelves. The staff was very friendly toward me, and I found a nice picnic table under a shade tree to watch the world go by.Places like this are what make road trips worthwhile. Maybe some would turn up their noses, but I loved it.

**Update: I stopped in there recently to get some of the locally made products and look at the little touristy items. The shelves were pretty much bare. None of the items that are on their website are in the store. It’s just a place to grab a drink, bag of chips, gas and bathroom.**Great little gas station closest to Lost maples state park. Next station is 15 miles (from looking at maps) so it’s ok to get some here till you get to somewhere cheaper. The grounds were pretty to sit and take a nice break. They had a variety of snacks as well as some unique touristy things. You can get ice and propane but didn’t see wood. (Maybe I missed it)The people were friendly and bathrooms were ok too.

This is a small town country store worth stopping in if nothing else to stretch your feet and buy a soda. Friendly service with a good selection. They had enough provisions to keep us stocked while staying nearby at the Lost Maples State Park, and it's really the only place within several miles to stock up and gas up.

Had a great time here. It was a quick stop on our way home from the twisted sisters. Good food and a great hometown feeling when we walked in. Food was good and well priced. Had the ease of a convenience store incase the diner doesnt have what you want. I could easily sit there and chill out for a long time.

Nice folks, stopped here on the poker run for Thunder in the Hills Rally. It's also a regular stop when we ride 3 Sisters.

Great old timey store does a great job making you feel at home. The selection is pretty small, but in three trips here, they have always had what I need (including anti-freeze this morning.) Stop in here, even if you don't need anything.

The staff is friendly, helpful and very knowledgeable about the area. The store seemed well stocked on anything you could want at a convenience store and then some. My family spent the night at the camp ground behind the store. The view was lovely and the river is beautiful! We can't wait to go back!!!

Nice little store in the middle of nowhere. Clean restrooms. The grill was closed when we got there; not sure if that's permanent. They have a good selection of snacks, sodas and beer. The staff is very friendly.

A great little sore in the middle of nowhere. Homemade jerky options and lots of biker gear. A great place to take a break from riding. Picnic tables, gas, and food. It's kinda neat to watch the chickens and peacocks while you rest.

This is a destination. Sounds weird for a gas station, but when riding or driving the Hill Country you almost have to stop here, if just to stretch your legs and get a beverage. Fun to watch all the cool cars and bikes that stop or drive by as well.

I must return to truly experience this wonderful place of nature! We didn't stay long enough but where there for the right time as few visitors. Worth the trip for the history alone! Have to go back!

In some ways this truly is a general store. They have a lot of different kinds of things. There's also a little restaurant and two gas pumps. And a lot of the prices are pretty decent to boot. It's a good place to stop when Lost Maples is temporarily full. And if the official campsites are full too the general store has tent and rv sites.

Clean store. Restrooms available. Lots of Oak trees to get under for shade when the sun is blazing! They have gasoline too.

Really like visiting this place. Lots of options for snacks and they have a great BBQ brisket sandwich in their Cafe in the back of the store. Not many restaurants around this area, but they're a great choice for BBQ.

On a bicycle tour, this is the last chance for food going east before Kerrville or Medina. In summer 2017, there was tent camping in back for $10. There was a toilet, no shower. Check back though - they were doing construction when I was there, and may have added cabins or bathrooms by now. The store closes long before sunset, so be sure to get your stuff, including the next day's breakfast, while it's open. The wi-fi is stays on, fortunately, so you can sit on the porch and do your internet even if the store is closed. The owner has a positive attitude, in spite of all he's gone through. Chat with him if you get the chance.

No touristy souvenirs, just staples. Half the shelves were empty. Not sure if that's normal?

Beautiful and challenging hike. Can be delivery difficult with steep rocky inclines and declines if you hike the full trail. A small hike to monkey rock would best suit those with toddlers.

Awesome little spot if you need something. Local guy working the register was very helpful to us out of Towner's and even had a little local map printed out, since cell service in the area is spotty.
