Wonderful service! Gracie Crain was wonderful and she helped me find everything I needed! She was sweet and was calm. If you need something done right, find her. She will get the job done! All in all, 5/5 stars. I will definitely be back!

Evidently if you show up before 9:30 you have to check your self out as there is no option for a person at a register. I have a problem with this as I do not use self checkout. If I wanted to use automated services I would just have it shipped to my home. I think for some self checkout is ok but for me I’m not a fan. I had a good number of items as I was getting ready for my sons coming home party as he just got out of the marines so I left the buggy where they should have had an employee and went somewhere else.

Brookshire’s Bakery did a great job on my grandson’s Minecraft cake. I took in a picture from an Amazon cake topper and they matched it perfectly.

Did not tell me until after I transferred my prescriptions over that they were transferring from brookshire's to Walgreens that did not take my insurance. I did all that work it's been all that time and effort changing pharmacies to not be able to use them at all. I will never shop here again ever.

The older people that work there are great that work in the morning at checkout, but ever since they put in self check out it’s terrible. Long lines, the bagging is awful, I had my milk and pickles put in one bag, my canned goods with my cold goods, the raspberries when they were bagged opened and spilled all into the bag and they just toss it into the back of your car like whatever, if your even able to get someone to take it out for you. I always have to re bag once they place it in my car. I am always nice and respectful to the employees and never complain. This is a training issue with the managers. The employees are underpaid and not given enough hours or training. And also not given proper raises after working there for years it’s a shame that I’ve heard this from people that have quit over that problem. . I no longer do the curbside pickup either because I have had to wait over 20min or more for them to bring it out when I have placed an order in the morning to pickup after work at 5PM. and they have also either forgotten my frozen foods or there is an issue processing. Lindale Brookshire’s is much better or Walmart.

The bakery manager Barbara, and her little helper Kristy, are incredibly childish and unprofessional. Their work is subpar and the breads have gone down hill in the past month or so. Such a shame. I recommend that driving to anywhere else for bakery items is worth the time.

This is my neighborhood Brookshires and typically the shopping experience is very pleasant. Unfortunately, today.....was very unpleasant. I had the misfortune of choosing register #5 which was being manned by a very arrogant young lady named Gracie. One of my items wouldn't scan so I said, it might be because it's on clearance for $3.00; it's over by the pharmacy on the second shelf, I am happy to show you where I got it, if you would like. (No response from her) She picks up the phone and calls the shift supervisor (I assume). Supervisor comes over and Gracie says, let me do it! Supervisor says, no. Gracie says it's $3.99. Supervisor punches in $3.99 and I say, actually, it's $3.00. The supervisor is clearly frustrated that she told her the wrong price so Gracie points at me and says, She told me, $3.99!" And she (Gracie) looks me up and down and gives me a chillingly evil glare. At this point I am highly annoyed but my 13 yr old daughter is standing next to me so I decide that I am not going to match her energy, I will just post a Google review. So the supervisor sends another employee to go check the price which she verifies is $3.00. Supervisor clears the $3.99 price and Gracie begins chastising her and telling her she didn't need to clear it, she could have just changed the amount. The supervisor says hush, finishes the correction, and walks away. I am relieved this interaction is almost over because I am beyond annoyed with this young lady's behavior. I will continue to shop here as my experience is almost always excellent, but I wanted to call out Miss Gracie for the very poor customer service experience.

Really nice, well stocked with a variety of foods that make it easy for my family to stock up when we're visiting from out of town. We have dietary restrictions and Brookshire's is our go-to. They even have items we can't find at home. Thank you, Brookshire's in Van!

I’ve been to many Brookshires in Texas and even in different states, I have to say the one here in Van is the best. The store is always clean, the lines are never long, and the employees are always friendly. Keep it up! Thank you to all of the employees there for everything you do!

Brookshire's have buy one get one for a penny and then they bump the price up on the item so not worth it to me. I will find somewhere else to shop I can't afford shopping there.

Very clean store. And produce was really fresh. I live in van, and have been a regular customer for over 11 years. And I've never had any complaints. So yes it earns 5 stars... Keep up the good work guys and gals. People do notice.

I don't appreciate being stopped at the door about my service 🐕‍ and not having a Vast. Anyone can have a service animal with a Vast but not once was I asked about paperwork. I dislike companies that are all worried about a Vast on a animal instead of showing paperwork. Sad how life has gotten these days.

I had a horrible experience at this place. As an over the road truck driver I sometimes have to stop for quite a bit of groceries and I chose Brookshires. Never again will I come here. I approached a checkout lane and was greeted by the cashier with an ugly look because of the amount of groceries I had to purchase. I pointed out a case of water at the bottom of the cart for scanning and she yanked the water causing the plastic to rip and I had to ask for another one. Terrible Terrible service. She then charged me for 2 lbs of bananas when I only had exactly 2 bananas. I'm happy to spend money on the groceries I need for the road, unfortunately it will not be with Brookshires.

The bakery products are wonderful, ice cream and dairy selections abundant. Produce department needs variety, it's small and often a little less than top notch. Staff can't be complimented enough, however! Work on the produce department and I'd give all 5 stars.

People in the store are so nice and courteous and helpful and just don't tell you it's over there when you ask when some were something is they actually take you to where it is and that's a very rare thing these days and customer service it's a great place to go shopping

It's the grocery store in my hometown so I absolutely love it matter of fact I got some really good deals on some meats today and the other day and it was excellent

Neighborhood store is convenient. Produce never seems to last after I get it home. Mark down bins are something to keep an eye on for meat deals. Love the 5% senior discount.

I love our local Brookshires however I notice they quit carrying several items I purchased there. Starting to get frustrated that I have to go to another store to find things when I live right across the street from the Van store. But everyone there is super friendly and service is great

I go into the Van, Texas store often. I found the deli does not keep fresh salads out. All were several days past expiration.Otherwise, the employees are consistency helpful and friendly.

My favorite Brookshires! Customer service is great and the people are always very friendly. I'd shop here for the meat market alone. Good cuts of fresh quality meats at reasonable prices.
