We’re from out of town and forgot about stopping in a larger town before getting to camp out in Concan. We needed to buy meat and some other food items for camping and the closest large grocery store was in Uvalde, about 40 mins from camp. I searched for other grocery stores and found Utopia General Store so I decided to give it a try. I’m glad I did. They had a decent selection of grocery items and their meat market was fresh and looked good. I saw that no past reviews showed the meat market so I took some and wanted to post. Glad I found this little place and didn’t have to drive all the way to Uvalde.

Sweet store. High prices but fair considering it’s the absolute middle of nowhere! This is a basic general store, not the kind filled with tchotchkes and special ice creams and drinks and such. Just your basics and a few simple gift items.

So much to offer at a General store in a small town. You'll find lots more than you think. Everyone is friendly and helpful. Wonderful meat market. Check it out

By far the best grocery store in town. Lol. But seriously, I am so thankful for the General Store and the always friendly and personal service we receive. They always make us feel connected to the community whenever we stop in for a few essentials. God bless Utopia and amazing people that make this feel like home.

This is a great little general grocery store with a good deli counter. It is also adjacent to a very good lunch place . The shelves are well stocked with vacation staples - and everything you forgot or didn't know you needed. The grocery aisle offer a decent selection of regular groceries, meat and dairy. Their Blue Bell stock is always amazing. Staff is friendly and fast.

Staying in the area and forget something? The Utopia General Store probably has what you didn’t know you needed or forgot to pack. Great selection of common grocery staples, hygiene products, and little odds and ends. If you’re floating the river they have river hats as well. They sell fresh meats, limited produce, and as another review said, a surprising selection of Blue Bell. Check the hours in case there’s events in town. They did close early one day for the rodeo!

I stopped in to use the ladies facilities on the way to Lost Maples. I was seriously impressed at the array of items to be had here. I picked up a few items that we had forgotten. This was definitely the right place. The only thing was that the lady at the register didn't even acknowledge me, not even while she checked me out and I bagged my own items. She was still having a conversation with the lady in front of me who looked like she was trying to just get her stuff and leave but the register lady kept talking. I just felt it was rude since I shopped there to not even offer me a hello. However if you are in the area and maybe needing some grocers this would be the place to go.

If you're in Utopia, you'll be happy that the General Store is there. It may seem a little pricey, until you consider the cost of gas to the other nearest store nearly 50 miles away. You'll find a fairly comprehensive line of groceries and sundries, plus a great meat market and a good stock of Blue Bell ice cream.

This is a grocery store that still has a meat market inside and they cut your meat the way you want it.I Enjoy shopping there ,its small. clean and friendly. They have everything you need,and if they don't they will try to get it for you

My wife and I were just there. I didn't get down but when my wife got back into the truck she said the cashier was rude and apparently said out loud to another lady(coworker?) "I need to help this Mexican."The ironic thing, my wife probably makes 5x annually what she makes. I guess ignorance is bliss.

Outstanding service. Ask for Cameron. He is their top mechanic. All of them must wear clean protective throw away coverings to avoid grease or grime on pricey cars they repair EACH car.

It's a bit pricy but it was the only "grocery" store for MILES. I am from Houston and there are various grocery stores everywhere.I purchased 1 box of Kraft mac and cheese for $1.72. I can usually get them on sale 2 for a dollar or for about .80.
