Polly's Pet Shop is always fun and nice to visit. Whether we need pet supplies, looking to adopt, or just to stop by and say hi to all the cute and cool animals they have.The staff is always very professional, knowledgeable, and attentive, which it makes the visits even better!There's a good amount of parking spot in front of the store and is easy to spot from the road.

Came for the pennies, loved the pets! My husband collects Penny Press coins and we found your shop on the website’s coin machine map! Most awesome pet store I’ve ever been in. We bought souvenirs (toys) for our cats who stayed home in Oklahoma City for this trip.

We took our Golden in to shop after getting groomed at Tails Agogo(Highly Recommend also!!) Staff was polite, friendly and helpful. Store is well stocked, clean and not only has pets but Everything you could possibly want /need for them! We lost track of time and shopped for over an hour and found lots of goodies. She hasn't stopped playing with the toys she picked out since!🤣 Definitely puppy dog Approved 👍

Polly's is an awesome pet store that offers a wide range of unique products that are not readily available in other pet stores. My daughter loves to visit the store to buy specific supplies for her rabbit. When we have free time, we like to walk into the store and explore the different exotic pets on exhibit. It feels like visiting a mini zoo. Additionally, they have a small section of educational toys.

It hurts me so much to leave this review. I have been a loyal customer of Polly’s for 19 years and as an experienced pet and exotic pet owner I’ve always trusted them when buying pets or buying things for my pets and always recommend people to them. They have always had the most trustworthy and experienced workers, until today. I just came back from college for spring break and decided to go back to Polly’s. There were lots of new workers I’ve never seen before and thought nothing of it. When buying a fish, the man helping us aggressively tried to catch it and knocked a large decoration into a neighboring aquarium that probably harmed other fish. When he did catch it it was floating around the bag already. We also got plants which he could not figure out which one I was pointing too, then threw into the bag, breaking all the stems of the taller plant. When paying we asked what food to feed the fish and he was unsure of what to feed it and had no knowledge of what they feed it. I assumed bloodworms but he insisted on these catfish pellets. When we arrived home the fish had died, and the beautiful plant I picked was broken. I payed $52 just for food that wouldn’t have worked, two plants with one broken, and a dead fish that he told us was non refundable (never heard that before). I am very upset.

I've gotten a few fish from here and they are all doing very well. Good prices too!! Def recommend for exotics I got a clown knife fish and eel a large Pleco and a lion chu Goldie and I just love them. I'll b back for a Bichir fire eel and another Lionchu soon!!

Best stuffed animal selection around! My son loves jellyfish and Polly’s had a stuffed one. They put a lot of thought into the products they carry and as an animal lover, I appreciate such a plethora of products. We’ve adopted 2 hamsters and 2 rats from Polly’s and they all have been very healthy and even tame. Some of the price points are high, but others are average. We are on their loyalty program to save money. I also must mention the staff- y’all are great! Thanks Polly’s Pet Shop.

Visited a few weeks ago and decided right away that’s where we’d purchase our bearded dragon. We made the two hour drive that was well worth it! While looking at all the dragons we were greeted by an employee who was incredibly informational with a wonderful attitude! The store is very clean, has TONS of pet options and everything you need to accommodate them(hard not to get carried away). We were also assisted by two other employees upon checkout who were nothing but helpful and polite. 10/10 pet shop experience 😊

Awesome exotic animals to look at. The fish are my favorite. But today they were hosting a child's birthday with kids literally running and chasing each other through the store. Which made shopping feel like a daycare full of wild animals. Would not return based on today's experience of unruly children, parents who don't care and a store that doesn't enforce safety.

Someone had mentioned this pet store was a fun place to check out, and we needed cat litter so we decided to check out this place today, and it did not disappoint!This place is huge and just when you think you've seen it all, there's more to check out! I don't even know where to begin. They have a huge selection of animals to see, even ones you wouldn't think of like ducks and a sting ray. I could spend hours in the fish section which was my favorite area.All I can say is this is a must see place. We will definitely be back!

On occasion, we get the help we need from the employees. Other times, we are passed by and waiting for more than a few minutes just to get salt water for our tank. They give us helpful information on how to resolve an issue that we can't figure out, but it would be nice to have the young employees actually pay more attention instead of just ignoring customers.

My favorite pet store - lots of live animals (sugar gliders, hedgehogs, kittens, rabbits, rodents and reptiles of all kinds, beautiful birds, lots of fish (fresh and salt water)), and many others). Great selection of food and treats (bulk food options for birds which I buy). Very nice place to see some exotic animals like lemurs and a lovely toucan bird. Personnel is very knowledgeable and very friendly. The store is spacious and fun to visit.

Best pet shop I've ever been to. They seem to always be upgrading the store. The staff are very friendly and knowledgeable. They have a large variety of fish, reptile, birds, and small mammals. I highly recommend visiting this store next time you need pet food or looking to add a new pet to your household.

Best pet shop...ADA wheelchair accessible...has exotic foods and pets...I make it a habit to stop by here whenever we get into San Antonio for our pets needs. Shopped here for over 40 years...got my first ferret Lemmy here back then.

I've heard rumors that they don't take care of the animals they sell very well; that the place was just a puppy mill for all animals. But I figured I'd give them a shot anyway, despite the fact that rumors aren't always correct. Honestly, this isn't the first time I've had an issue with the employees here at this pet store. Every time I go into the place, there's never an employee on the floor, or there's not enough staff for the customers. When I had asked for help with questions about their animals, after asking for help in a specific section, a female employee, blonde with blue eyes, came up and said "Hi" and didn't say anything else; she just stood there and stared at me like I was annoying. She didn't introduce herself either, so I don't know her name. She really couldn't answer any of my questions, and she was telling me things that I already knew. Her handling of the animals was absolutely awful to the point that the animals were in distress. I told her not to worry about catching them since they clearly were not tame at all (despite her telling me that they were a little tame) and she ignored me and continued to stress them out. This employee also responded to me in a very patronizing tone and talked down to me like a toddler. For one, I'm 30 years old, and I have a lot of knowledge about animal husbandry, and I don't appreciate being spoken to the way she spoke to me. She couldn't answer any health questions and what they provide for their animals, so I just left without buying anything. But don't worry; I found the animal I was looking for at a different store that actually cared about their animals and was very knowledgeable about the health/care of their own animals they were selling in THEIR STORE.

Polly's has been a go to for years for pet care needs, fish and birds and reptiles. I understand the turnover in associates. I commend the lady that helped us because though she was new she tried her very best to help us and answer our question. the manager was not welcoming or interested if we were satisfied with everything (we had to wait for the manager to get a price corrected).

There was a dead bearded dragon in a cage so if you go be careful with your lizards and take them to a vet as soon as possible but they do have a wide variety of like hamsters and rodents

We just bought Syrian hamster a couple of days ago and she passed late last night. At the store she was in a large box with other hamsters. She was well hidden under hay/grass. These were all signs she was sick. Be careful purchasing hamsters from here.

This shop is absolutely a go-to place if you need quality reptiles, birds, or exotic pet supplies. This place also sells a large selection of reptiles and other pets. Most enclosures are clean and organized. Now and again, one enclosure will be dirty. The prices are reasonable, and the staff is accommodating!If you need Dubia roaches, they have all sizes on hand a large majority of the time. If you are not a reptile owner, make sure to check out the pet cookies for your dog or cat!

This family owned pet store is probably one of the absolute best, and my favorite. You could spend hours looking through here and still find amazing animals of all kinds. What sets this place apart is that the animals feel happy. The staff is happy and ready to answer questions. It’s just one of those “feel good” places. There’s a themed section with just reptiles, another for birds, another for aquatics, and mammals. It’s just super cool and you can see and learn about amazing animals. Oh, and of course purchase pet supplies too. When you can take time to connect to and appreciate these various species, it’s a reminder of endless wonder and gratitude.

This place is the coolest, niche place that I frequent. They have interesting animals and they even house two ring-tailed lemurs. This sweet lady, Kallie, was very informative while we were looking to adopt a cat. Polly’s Pet Shop is organized and interested. I love how every section has its own personal atmosphere.

I went to Pollys years ago & i loved it the first time so then when i came back recently, i noticed immediately the small animal cages were really dirty, however the main issue i had was, how they have the bettas set up. They are separated but they can easily get over the top of the tanks since it’s barely an inch high since bettas jump so then two of the them were in the same area & it was clear they were fighting because one of them had his fins shredded up. I dont recommend buying bettas from them because a lot of them have fin/ tail rot from poor water quality. Please do better.

I have been a customer here since 2010. Even we don’t buy anything but Children love to come here to see pets. For me, I like to buy cat foods that different from other stores and buy some great pet cleaner products. A lot of animals here for kids to enjoy seeing and learning. Staffs are very helpful,knowledgeable and frat mind services. Love this place a lot.12/06/19 I found a street cat followed me. About winter time. I could not ignore this kitty cat. I put her in my car. Only one place that popped in my head. I ran in Polly pet shop, I saw this very kind hearted young girl staff. I did not know how to say. So, I said “ I need help ASAP, I found a kitty cat and she is in my car. I need food,poop box,trimming her nails and shampoo”She was very kind. Rushed to find the items for me. She came out and trimmed the cat’s nails in my car, checked flea and estimated how healthy that cat was. She told me the cat is pretty and expensive as Manx bobcat.I thought someone cut her tail. I was Overwhelmed but she helped me outThis is unbelievable and unique services I ever met. I forgot to ask what her name was. God bless her.
