Tiger Creek is another must-see in Tyler! The sanctuary is incredibly well-kept with lots of big cats to see! Our guided tour led by Kayla K was the cherry on top. Kayla was a trooper walking us through during the rain while maintaining a smile the entire time. This place is an animal lovers dream!

It is a bit pricey. But, I justified the expense as supporting the animals in the sanctuary. We went on Monday, and I was disappointed that there are no guided tours (only Wed - Sat this time of year). The "self guided tour" took us about 1.5 hours. But, I left feeling satisfied. At times, we were a mere 4 feet (and 2 fences!) away from these majestic animals.

We were able to dry camp in their parking lot as part of the cost of entry into the park. We weren’t able to spend a lot of time there, but will stop again to walk through the park and read about the history of each animal they are taking caring for. When you first arrive you think you’re in a zoo. But, there’s something more to this place that seems to make it special. I would recommend this as a good stop if you’re in the Tyler, TX area.

We have been to Tiger Creek twice. The first time we did the guided tour, which I recommend for first-timers. Each of the cats has an interesting story about where it was rescued from. The second time we did a self-guided tour which was nice with a small child. They give you a storybook to use while you walk around, which is a nice touch. As a mom, I was concerned about safety before we went. This place is legit, and the enclosures are safe. Although some of my photos seem to be missing a fence, that is just a camera trick. It is best to go in the cooler parts of the day or in the cooler seasons. The cats are more active.Bring water, and if you have a small child, bring a stroller or wagon. There is a good bit of walking and some of it is uphill. Our 5 year old got hot and tired after a bit.The cats are beautiful and fun, and this is a great experience!

This place is amazing! Being able to see my favorite animal so close was an awesome experience. I definitely recommend the VIP tour to get the best experience it’s very well worth it. The animals look well cared for, healthy, and pretty active. The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable. Will be going back😃

Tiger Creek Animal Sanctuary is my favorite place in east Texas (other than my Nanny's house). Thanks to donations from amazing donors over the past few years, all the big cats are in large enclosures now. This was a plan/dream of theirs when I had first visited 7 years ago. It was nice to visit old friends and see some new ones. Each animal here has its own story as to why it needed a new loving safe space. Skanda was in a grumpy/talkative mood, but just as beautiful as always, it was great to see him again. 😊 Its primarily large cats like tigers, puma, cougar, lions, but their kind hearts have also taken in some other critters in need. Come get up close with some magnificent creatures and donate to a worthwhile animal sanctuary.

We love visiting these beautiful creatures and helping to donate to their care. With out sanctuaries like Tiger Creek these animals lives and future would be unknown and I feel short. It gives us an opportunity to see these endangered animals in a healthy environment.

Such a great big cat sanctuary! Loved having the guided tour. Our guide shared so much general knowledge about big cats as well as information about each specific animal. Will definitely be back

This was an awesome place to visit. I would have appreciated it much more if it wasnt so hot outside. If you have kids, take them here, they will appreciate being up close with the cats.

Come see the beautiful catsWorth the drive from DFW. Good close-up views. On our last visit, the mail lions were roaring and putting on a show for the lionesses. Great fun for the whole family.

It was raining but we had a nice time walking around. Even with the rain most cats were out and a few would run up to the fence so say hi. Staff was friendly. Didn't really interact with the staff much.

Really fun place to go and see tigers and lions up close. They were pretty active the day we were there. The staff is all very nice and they tell you all about how each cat came to be there.

Very knowledgeable people. It's on the smaller side. Be aware it is a walking tour so good shoes and some water is a must. We went around midday and it was hotter than satan's armpit and the animal's clearly felt it too. So most of the animals were sleeping. I would guess if you wanted to see them more active and you not be dripping with sweat go early or later in the evening.

Incredible place very much worth visiting. When I went there was no one else around. You could stand 4 feet from the tigers and pace back and forth with them. You could hear the lions roar back and forth to one another as you stood between their habitats.

This is a fantastic wildlife refuge with caring, knowledgeable staff and beautiful animals. We paid for the tour and got to play with one of the smaller cats and watch a trainer work with and feed a Tiger!

Great trip, and the gift shop is very reasonably priced compared to some I've seen. The animals were some of the most active and vocal I've seen, so the caretakers are definitely doing a great job.

We are so happy we stumbled upon this beautiful, well kept sanctuary for these precious animals. We enjoyed our tour very much!

I enjoyed being able to be so close to the animals. Having them only separated by 2 rows of gates makes a much better experience than seeing them through thick glass or plastic and a long distance away. If only there was more to see and a longer distance of walking. It would've been 5 stars.

It is a incredible place. Must visit. Now they are receiving vistors by appointment only. We went there with our Gracie Barra school.

This was a fun outing, even in 90° temperatures. We elected to take the guided tour (no extra charge). Our guide was fun, gave us little tidbits of each animal's history, and a little about each personality. One downside was that ALL of the touring carts were out of commission. Some of the hills are a challenge, especially in high heat. If you have someone with physical challenges, call ahead to see if they have carts when you need them.

Amazing experience. We were there right before lunch, and about half the big cats were walking around. Very peaceful to walk around, and most places have shade.

Tigers are awesome! Being 3 ft away is pretty special. This place isn't Tiger King esque, seems like they're doing it right. I would do this again
