So this is the second time I’ve been here just to see the consistency and it holds up for sure. Yes there are some things not worth it to me but there are tons of things that you would not believe the price. So so much great stuff to buy there for next to nothing. 3 Under Armour shirts looking brand new for $19 total. I got a whole bunch of other things as well but that gives you a price idea. Most of the shirts I have gotten for my son are $2-3 a piece. Good amount of pants as well. And there are no flaws on them. I used to buy at name brand stores but I am definitely checking by here first from now on because there is definitely great quality stuff that I imagine kids just out grew and people took care of their stuff and then donated. Staff are friendly and the building is HUGE and I couldn’t get a picture of the whole thing so I just got the signs. You must check this place out to see what I am saying and hopefully you get there on a day with very good stuff. Thanks!!!

I got to check out the location on Loop 323 last Saturday and was blown away by the unique pieces of jewelry. Cindy T. was the best! She was beyond helpful and super friendly with each customer she interacted with. Really set the tone for my experience.Clothes were a bit pricey but still had great selection of furniture, Knick knacks, and jewelry! Will be going back again!

This is a neat thrift store! It smells very nice- not at all like a thrift store. It has an excellent selection of clothing, shoes, household goods, furniture, books, jewellery, and toys. It is spacious and well organized. The restrooms are very neat, clean and pleasant.

Hangers of Hope is just really ridiculous with their prices. I went there today and saw a photo that’s at Dollar General for 9.99 can you believe hangers of Hobbs price tag is 4999 and they got to nerve to ask you at the register if you want to donate the rest of your change for a good cause when they’re selling donate an items they get for free for outrageous prices isn’t that enough of a donation?

Three locations in Tyler, Texas. Each one is a great thrift shop with their own different items. One can generally find something that they need at least one of the locations.

This was a very big thrift store which was exciting as a first time customer but I was disappointed by the prices. I thought it was pretty overpriced for a thrift store.

Hangers of Hope has a great variety of items in their store. For thrifting it is a very clean and organized store. Staff is friendly and helpful. Bonus their business supports a great cause.

This used to be a good thrift shop, now they are so money hungry they charge more than you can go buy the same stuff for brand new at the store. They used to be an actual thrift shop and I've been shopping with them since they first opened in Broadway but the past 2 years they've increased prices so much it's not worth even trying to shop there. This is the most expensive "thrift shop" I've seen. Example is $28 for a pair of used overalls from target that cost $24 brand new at target and that's not even on sale! When brought to their attention they say they look everything up for the prices, that's a lie. They charge more for the clothes from Walmart and target than Walmart and target sell them for! It's absolutely crazy and they sell stuff from dollar tree for more too. Now they are opening another location, that means prices are going up again. $12-20 for simple dresses you'd pay $3-$5 for at any other thrift. The responses to all the negative reviews is it goes to a.good cause and running a health clinic cost a lot.... Yeah and you would sell more and be helping more people if you lowed your prices, you also wouldn't need the many shipping containers for storage build up because stuff would sell faster and wouldn't sit there for months.

I love what they have but it's overpriced on most things. Some of the items in the store you can get for maybe 50 cents more brand new

Right now the store is full of Christmas merchandise. Not a bad idea to check it out for less expensive decor items.

Friendly staff. Large selection of clothes, bedding, kitchen appliances, toys, furniture, etc. All items are donated to them. Most items are slightly or very used. You can get lucky and find some items never worn it used for a good price. All of their items are reasonably priced. They are well organized by short/long sleeve colors and sizes. But just like all store sometimes things get misplaced so be sure you have time to scavange through the sections. All sales are final. No returns or refunds Great second hand shop if you like that kind of shopping. .

New to the area and I come from a town where they have plentiful thrift stores that offered 50% off the whole store on Mondays. This is a pretty neat little thrift store but the prices are RIDICULOUSLY high. Anything Melissa and Doug brand will be priced at market value as if if we’re brand new from the retailer. Even with missing pieces. I could buy them brand new for cheaper. It’s sad. Thrift stores are supposed to offer items at lower prices for lower income people but they are definitely price gauging here and taking advantage. It’s a shame because they have SOME cute items and decent book selection. I guess I will stick to eBay for competitive pricing. It’s cheaper than Hangers of Hope who are obviously taking advantage of people. I saw many people come in today and grab things, look at the price and put it back in shock. Imagine all the business they are loosing. Might as well go to the Goodwill

Sadly ridiculously overpriced. If you don’t want to loose more customers it needs to stop. No inflation on free. The clinic only helps a small population of the community. There’s certain qualifications you need to meet. Only open some days a week for limited times etc. The clinic isn’t helping a huge population like the stores do. If you would lower the prices you’d get rid of merchandise quicker and wouldn’t need any extra “paid” staff to help sort and clean aisles through our the day. There’s so much out. There’s less buying and more cleaning. Some of your “employees” are volunteers, can’t say you have a large paid staff to compensate for pricing. There’s a lot of profit being made. Dresses are 12.99. Womens tops $10. Shoes range from $15-100. There was a dresser on sale for $1,299. Which was lowered to $399 because it has been there for months and you needed space. Still there at $399. Theres a different section for name brand items. The whole point is to find those items at a fraction of the price. That’s the bargain. The clothes college students, struggling families or individuals want to find. It’s cheaper to shop sales at hobby lobby, Target, Walmart or Ashley’s furniture store than through y’all. Years ago it truly was a bargain and helped the community, now it’s all profit. If that’s what y’all are doing now fine, advertise that. It’s consignment store pricing and high end thrift shop with little high end products.

I have been shopping at this thrift store for quite some time now and initially I would frequent it multiple times a week. I have not been able to do this recently because the prices have gone up tremendously from what they initially were marked at. I understand that the profit is for a noble cause…but the point of a thrift store is to re-sell items at a very low and reasonable cost so that individuals working with a lower income can find items and clothing in a non-expensive way. All items are donated and a profit will be made either way, it makes me question whether all the money is truly going to the cause which I would like to give this organization the benefit of the doubt. It’s gotten pretty ridiculous though.

This place use to be a place I would shop frequently, very organized, clean a very friendly staff & prices were great for a 2nd hand store. But with in the past yr when I go in there I’m beginning to second guess shopping there. Since when did a 2nd hand thrift store have outrageously high prices on used items? For a pair of UGG house shoes that the soles was very worn a the over all condition of tha house shoes was worn an u could tell but they was asking $60 for them 😱. That’s just about regular price on a new pair!! I see this store taken advantage of the customers all the items they get are donated & HANGERS OF HOPE is price gouging it’s really sad a very unchristian like. Hopefully with all the negative reviews frm customers on the high prices they will come down the high horse they are on a sell items @ a thrift store price.

Overpriced furniture, clothes and home goods. Just like the other location. Almost retail or more on a lot of stuff. No weekly or daily specials. They definitely use Google and price accordingly. They are replacing the dollar/point system for a discount for a 15% off on a Tuesday special. Not everyone shops on a Tuesday.Update: 3/2022 three months after my first review. We haven't shopped this location in awhile and today we were shocked at the prices. Used towels were $5.99 they are cheaper new at walmart. Used shoes were $19.99 jeans were $14.99 for used/donated clothes. Cups were $1.99 they are new at dollar tree for $1.25. We asked the lady why the price hike? After our conversation, let me just say we will not shop Hangers of Hope anymore. We thrift to make ends meet. We are lower income and thrift to afford others essentials we can not shop for at a thrift store.

This one of my favorite places to go when I want a specific item or I’m just browsing. The staff is so very helpful and friendly. The items are well displayed and well marked so you know the price. Helping the customer seems to be a strong characteristic of all the people working at Hangars of Hope. Keep up the good work!

I went to this thrift store for the first time, and I got there maybe 30 minutes before they closed, thinking that would be plenty of time. Now, let me tell you....I just barely made it through the jewelry counter! They had a surprisingly large selection of sterling silver, name brand and upscale pieces (Fossil, Seiko, Vera Bradley, Kate Spade, Guess, Coach, etc). The only thing I found frustrating was that their pricing has no rhyme or reason to it. Some items seemed ridiculously low priced, 2hile some were offensively overpriced (leggings are 7.99 a pair...for USED!) So yes, there are great deals and quality merchandise, but just pay close attention so you can bypass the overpriced items

I love the store you can find anything there at a very very good price. The music is good the staff are nice and helpful and there’s so much to find for anytime of the year for any event for any holiday nice clothes. Both hangers of Hope have unique and different items and I love them both plus I know that my purchase money is going toward the Bethesda clinic and I support them as a healthcare worker myself. Excuse the punctuation I’m voice texting.

(Hangers of Hope you can afford their high prices) or (Hangers of Hope you can stand the smell)Open the door and the horrendous smell of stale perfume in the air hits you in the face. The smell is atrocious. The prices are offending. Used and donated items are ridiculously high. $100.00 dollars for a used coffee table not even in the best condition, $25.00 for used worn out shoes, $39.00 for an old outdated mirror, worn, torn and faded clothing sold at brand new prices, purses $35.00.The selection of home goods are old broken and outdated but are priced like they are valuable antiques. Save your money and buy it brand new at hobby lobby. In fact at their prices you can drive up the road and buy the same stuff brand new for the same price.I'm not sure what happened because hangers of hope used to be reasonable. I would not even call it a thrift store. Price gouging at it's finest. Someone should take the price gun away from whomever is pricings their donated items as well as air out the building.I won't be going back.

Come on....you increased your prices to nearly double from last year on donated products, when now, more than ever, people are struggling?? How is there inflation on free? Prices are higher than what new cost. I get it's for charity, but it's also supposed to be for people of lesser means to be able to afford stuff. The trade-off is supposed to be clean, used items for an inexpensive affordable price, NOT used stuff for the cost of new! We accept that it's used in exchange for it being inexpensive. I also get that there are people who search out used items to resell for a profit. A lot of times, this is how that person earns a living that feeds their family and helps them be independent and not on government programs. But you prevent that from happening, dont you? There are so many missed opportunities where this store is actually failing its community. The proceeds from this store go towards medical and dental services for those who can't afford it, yet the dentists and doctors are supposed to be donating their time. So why the high prices? I'm just saying this store could help a lot of people all the way around if they wanted to. A hand up, not a hand out!

I have shopped both stores. I love that I can always find something. Great place to find clothes to interview in and work in. I’ve bought things from books to clothes to shoes. It’s my go to store when I need something or want to browse. It seems to me since there are 2 of them in town the prices would be the same. Just bring down the prices a bit, especially on the furniture. I’ll be going back this week,

Great "thrift store" if you have lots of money. Prices have engaged higher tremendously. Dated items that have been there months no longer hold a lesser value if asked at the register. Manager does not cooperate with lower prices. The Boutique is nice, but has costume jewelry from gumball machines that isn't real. Sold for outrageous amounts. Some jewlery has even turned colors and still being sold for $30,$40,$50, etc. Have found Dollar Tree prodcuts being sold for $3 and up. Most used products are sold for what they are sold for in store brand new, or more. Very rare that I come home with one item or nothing. Used to come home with bags full of stuff for $20. Don't come here looking for a bargain. You won't find it here.
