Tye RV Park was our home for a little over a year. It's close to Abilene and easy to go grocery shopping at HEB, Natural Grocers, Drug Emporium or Sanctum Nutrition for your daily supplements. The park offers a great dog corral which accommodated pur two dogs with playtime, exercise, and play dates. You can sit and relax in the covered gazeebo while you watch your dogs play. Play fetch with your pup or simply let them exercise. The beautiful modern laundry room free to residents is the perfect place to take care of your laundry. Tye RV Park employees are friendly, helpful and provided quality service. The park offers spacious walking area, trees, a great pond. Our pups enjoyed daily walks, visits to the pond and moments outside while we drank our morning coffee, afternoons enjoying the breeze, and evenings BBQing. The pull through spots are easy to get into. The park also provides storage for your RV, boat, utility vehicle, extra car, or whatever you need to store on sight. Check with them, Emily or Susan can answer all your questions.Anytime we pass through Tye we always stay at Tye RV Park. Enjoy your visit, I know we did!

Nice park! Super easy check-in, although it was after hours. Convenient to the interstate, and I can't say enough about the free laundry. That laundry room is a dream! Clean, nice, and free to use. We did hear a plane before leaving the park, but we didn't mind it. Would stay again if in the area.

We are relocating from Washington State to Kentucky in our motor home. We have been through and stayed at several parks in several states so far. This park is very interesting. The residents are quiet and keep to themselves which for me is nice. The location is full of various activities . It’s close to the highway so if you are towards the front there is a lot of highway noise. If you’re located towards the back you’ll experience the train going by. The entire property sits at the end of an Air Force base runway and sometimes planes fly overhead. Personally, I like the sound of trains and the planes were very cool. So if you’re just passing through and enjoy different experiences this is the place for you. If you’re looking for an entirely peaceful experience then not so much. The area is clean and management is pleasant.Ear plugs are great for sleeping and I had no problems 😊

If you are looking for a very convenient place to park while being close to Abilene and all the attractions near by, this is the place. We stayed there for a couple of months where we felt welcomed and appreciated. They have an awesome laundry room and restrooms which are new. The owner and staff are very nice and always looking forward to assist in any way possible. Thank you Emily for a wonderful stay and if it wasn’t for the new job assignment, we would still be there😊

Most spots are packed gravel on hard dirt. Lots of people living full time at the park while they're on the deployment to the base. However, there are several new concrete pads in the back. If these are available always ask for them. they are at the back of the park and more private than anywhere else in the park. The park is less than a mile from the end of one of the main runways for Dyess Air Force base. We were treated to a B1 bomber flying low and slow on final approach as well as as a C130J on final approach. Both of them were just over a 100' over our head

Planes, trains (horns), and automobiles! I should have paid much more attention to the location when booking. Right in flight path for air field landing across interstate, train crossing (train horns not just train passing by) and right off interstate with a lot of semi traffic-of course. So if you are needing a quiet place to sleep after a long day of travel I do NOT recommend. But if noise doesn't bother you, then you will enjoy the clean park and clean, big showers and a nice dog park area for the pups. Didn’t use the free laundry room but it looked very nice, and clean also.

This RV park is great! Very nice lady who helped us book. We even changed our itinerary and the lady was more than helpful changing the reservation. Dog park was very clean and goat head-free. The bathrooms were very clean and the showers were hot. The only suggestion for the showers is have a few with removable shower heads to make it easier to give our kid a baby shower. But the laundry rooms! the laundry rooms were amazing, clean, newer machines and even had mobile folding tables. The only grip we have is the jets. The RV park is directly in line with Dyess AFB runway. That’s the only annoying part but we know that that’s out of their control.

It's not fancy but it's inexpensive and convenient to town. The staff is super friendly and they have a free laundry room that's clean, comfy and has lots of updated machines. We asked for a spot as far from the highway as possible and that limited the noise significantly. There was a couple planes that flew over but not a lot. This is our 2nd time here and no real big complaints.Update: just stayed our 4th time and still no issues.

Stopped for a night and it was very convenient. The park is in middle of upgrades and everything they are doing looks very nice. The pull thrus are wide and it was easy to navigate the beast around (43' fiver). There doesn't seem to be a lot of big trees which I would avoid if staying a long time in Texas. One thing I didn't like is while the spots were nicely graveled some were at a dramatic slope. My front Jack's looked like they came out two feet.

My wife and I stayed at Tye RV Park on our way home to East Tennessee after spending a few weeks in Las Vegas. We've made this trip before and have previously stayed at Dyess Air Force Base, but decided to try Tye RV Park because it's the same price and more convenient than stopping at Dyess. We found the park very reasonable, except for one problem -- noise. The park is located along the approach path to Dyess AFB, immediately adjacent to Interstate 20, and not far from a busy railroad line.If low-flying military aircraft, noisy diesel trucks, and train horns don't keep you awake at night, enjoy your stay. We'll be staying on the air base on our next trip.

I am not a seasoned Rver but everything was perfect for me. Park was clean, showers was amazing and the free laundry was clean he best one yet. All new washers and dryers. Big screen TV. Huge couches lot was freshly graveled. Easy access. Yes they are daily trainer B1B bombers M~F but I knew that before booking my stay. I fell very ill when there. Emily the manager checked onme almost daily. Randell and Keith (maintenance crew also helped me a lot. True kind folks just not workers. I’ll take that everytime. Thanks guys for a GREAT stay and perfect RV stay. If I survive my illness, I’ll be back, Count me in.

Nice place to rest for a night or more. We only stay 1 night. I wish they had a map we could have so we could fine our site. We asked for a pull through when we made the reservations, but we got a back in. The host there told us we could move to a pull through, which we did. Free laundry 24 hrs. We will go back if we go through again.

Tye RV park has gravel sites with full hook ups. It is easy to find and access. Most of the sites are pull thru. The bathrooms and showers are brand new, very clean and super nice! The new laundry room is very, very nice with brand new washers and dryers, stainless steel folding tables, two couches, a tv and it’s all free for customers!! Got all our laundry done! Yeah!!!We were welcomed by friendly staff and enjoyed our stay there. Will definitely use this park on our future travels.

Booking is very simple and quick. The management is friendly and very accommodating. They were very helpful when we needed to add a few more hours to our stay. The dog park is perfect! It’s fenced, with a pergola and benches. It has a scooper with bags. Our pups loved it! The kids enjoyed walking to the pond and checking out the fish. The spaces are wide enough and easy to get in and out of. The bathrooms and wash rooms are super clean. The Wi-Fi worked perfect. As for the noise I saw in other reviews, you hardly hear it. It’s not bad at all. We highly recommend this place and will most defiantly be staying again.

Where to start? The only good thing about this park is the laundry room and showers. They try to use the pond as a selling point, it is not maintained. There is a dog park but there are constant messages regarding owners not picking up after pets. The bombers fly low enough to knock things off walls, sometimes flying to midnight. Then after the planes you get to listen to the trains. The manager as an aggressive dog, that will bark uncontrollably and charge the fence. Keep your children and pets away. A beware of dog should be posted.

This RV site is oriented towards longer stay residents however they have several fully serviced sites for overnighters. The location is just off a highway and can be a little niosy but not unbearable. The striking thing about this park is that it is spectacularly clean. The well equipped wash/shower facility is spotless. To top off the unexpected they provide laundry services free of charge and supply dozens of top brand machines in a fully equipped and bright laundry room. Highly recommended.

We found this treasure of a campground and they were so accommodating for our last minute reservation. The owner is a real sweetheart and a joy to talk with. Everything is absolutely clean! I couldn’t believe that they have nine… Yes nine washing machines and nine dryer‘s… And they are all free! I definitely will be coming back here again!

Planes, trains, and trucks. Watching the planes fly that low overhead was really cool at first BUT come 1AM I was over it. Haha For one night it's fine but not sure I could deal with the noise long term. Also bring extra blocks some sites are very slanted. The facilities were clean otherwise. Maybe more trees along the highway would help dampen the noise.

*FREE LAUNDRY* with at least 10 dryers and washers in a large clean space with couches and TV's as well! (Everything looks brand new and we'll maintained wish I remembered to take a photo) Huge easy pull through spots that had plenty of space for our 40 ft 5th wheel and extended bed truck! Easy on off the highway and VERY inexpensive! Just passed through for one night but would definitely stop again if in the area!

We stayed 4 nights and It was a wonderful stay! The staff were exceptional and help. Was able to take my inflatable kayak fishing in the large pond an caught a few large mouth bass and a couple sun fish I think lol laundry room is the nicest I’ve ever seen and it was free!! All the washers and dryers are brand new and cleaned out clothes great. There are a lot of monthly people there but the were all very friendly 😊. Will probably stay there again on our way home

Easy to get to from the highway and easy parking. Our spot wasn't level and to put 3" of blocks under the campsite tires. While setting up camp a B1 bomber took off! The rest of the night was more planes, then trains every 45 min to 1 hr then there was the I 20 traffic noise. We had a full hook up spot so we didn't use the bathhouse or laundry areas. Found sand burrs in the dog park area and in the gravel In our spot.

I travel with my husband in a 40 ft RV. We stayed overnight. This is not somewhere i would stay long term BUT it is clean and free laundry with a stunning large laundry room with couches and TV! Bathrooms are spotless and showers are large with nice tile. We were up by the highway so there was truck noise but not bad.

This park is nice. Lots of area to walk around. Provides free laundry if you are in need. Staff is nice. Easy to maneuver into and around park with a 38' class A with 14' trailer. Site was ok, on a small hill and slightly off level left to right and back to front. We didn't connect to sewer as it was too far in the back of the site. The most level part of the site was in the front which made it too far away to connect. Tried to back up and get level and closer but not able. Not a big deal and that was the only "issue" we had. We only spent 1 night so didn't need to use sewer anyway. People around park are nice and friendly. Looks like a lot of longer term people but quite a few open spots for overnighters. It was 110 degrees when we were there and no issues with power with A/C on, also 80 at night so A/C was on almost all day and night. Was using close to the 50 amps most of the day and night. Would stay again and recommend.

My little family and I stayed for nearly a whole year. Definitely a place ill visit again. Ms Emily and Mrs Maria are sooo nice. They make sure the park is kept clean as well as the restrooms, showers, and the new laundry room. This is a very nice park to stay. Its right on I20 so its easy to find you dont have to hunt for it. Any issues or complaints are handled immediately. If something is wrong they are sure to make it right. They recently added a dog park (more features being added to it soon)I have 2 children and a dog and i never felt unsafe here. My kids rode their bikes amd hoverboards all over. The Tye police patrol through the park as part of their city route. The only part of our whole stay that i could have done without is the EXTREMELY loud planes flying. This park is located just North of the Dyess Airforce Base. They fly the bombers and jets and they rattle everything not just the windows. If you can deal with that your good to go.Thanks Emily and Maria yall were amazing!!!

Planes, trains and automobiles. Or, location, location, location. This park would be awesome if it were somewhere else. Trains nearby cross three separate roads so that means train horns for about 15 seconds straight several times thru the night. Planes on approach to Dyess AFB are no problem but a B1 taking off is only a couple hundred feet over head and those jet engines will shake the wall paper off your walls. After all that, the highway noise all day and night is little more than white noise.Aside from all that the park is great. Easy to get in and out of your spot. The gravel pads closest to the highway are nowhere near level. Needed 3" of blocks under the camping side fortunately, the spot also slopes a bit from back to front so our steps were at the right height.
