Customer service is the best! They sell out of things fast because of it being a wet county, but they will check in the back if they have anything you are looking for. Prices are competitive and a huge variety of everything.

I've been in this location several times looking for blackberry crown. I have even timed it to show up after delivery truck. Apparently they're having trouble receiving their order of blackberry crown. I have also tried on several different dates to pick up a bottle of Seagram 7 dark honey with no luck. 🤦🏾

Have a great selection of drinks compare to other stores with reasonable prices. The staff was friendly and welcoming and very helpful in finding what I was looking for.

My favorite stop in Troup! Big selection and friendly staff. Even if you don't drink stop by and say hi while you buy a 6 pack that you leave there telling them it's for Lil Gary! Lol

Very very poor customer service, the manager (Who looks like Madea), was extremely rude because there was a misunderstanding in which SHE got confused about us being a part of some company and we told her it was just for personal use that we had no idea what she was talking about we just wanted to buy champagne for us and family. She treated us with no respect and should be fired yesterday! I PROCEEDED TO CHECK OUT WHERE A WHITE LADY HAD ALREADY CHECKED MY ID AND RANG MY CHAMPAGNE UP WHEN WE RUDLY GOT INTERRUPTED BY MADEA AGAIN AND SHE SAID I COULDNT BUY MY CHAMPAGNE BECAUSE MY BOYFRIEND WHO IS OLDER THAN ME DIDNT HAVE HIS ID even though he was OUTSIDE on the phone. And I had ALREADY been ID’ed. MADEA ENDED UP CANCELLING MY ORDER AND DID NOT LET ME PURCHASE ANYTHING BECAUSE SHE WAS FRUSTRATED THAT SHE GOT HERSELF CONFUSED.And to top this crazy nonsense we came back with a friend AND THEY DID NOT EVEN ASK HIM FOR HIS ID and he is 21 and about 5ft looks very young and would not let ME buy alcohol because my boyfriend that was not even purchasing it didn’t have his ID and he is 23, and 6’4!!!THIS PLACE IS JOKE!!!😂

I now use this store,before that I used Dogs in Coffee,Co.but well if you can't say something nice,don't say it,the store and foke's are great,the POpo there,?????.But to be fair Troop is also closer,the foke's are great at both places,there's always someone around to help. PLEASE DON'T DRINK AND DRIVE

These guys and Lady behind the counter was awesome. We pulled in late 5min before close and they were still polite and helpful. Even kept their cool and remained patient when I had to run to the truck and grab some more cash. Great Customer Service!

While there's a wide variety of liquor, wine and beer and it's fantastic. Every time I come by there's always the smell of marijuana. Then half the employees look and act stoned. Stoner City Liquor should be the new name.

The Fat Dog in Troup was spot on.. very clean.. very friendly and helpful, and an amazing wide variety of most anything you may be looking for. The wine selection is great there. The staff are so bubbly and eager to help in any way possible. That's makes the shopping experience in my book much more enjoyable. I will be shopping at that liquor store whenever I happen to be in that neighborhood no doubt

The manager was very rude. After purchasing an item I realized that I was over charged again. I brought it to the clerk's attention she said that they raised the price on that item. I brought her to the price placed on shelf and suggested that I pay that amount. After calling for the VERY rude manager that acted like I was a pain and questioned everything I said. Not sure why she acted as though I was the problem. I think she has a problem with customers that look like me. She begrudgingly refunded me the amount due. Always check you receipt when leaving this place.

Fat Dogs Troup is fantastic!! Anytime I have inquired about a particular liquor or wine, they have looked it up and if they don't have it, are often willing to purchase and see how the general public will like it. Linda is terrific to yhe public!!! So many selections... LOVE THIS LOCATION!!!

Visited FAT DOGS ( SPECS LIQUOR) today 2-25-22. Love the selection and the fantastic manager..Harolyn..Chad..carry-out/Inventory Control...all cashiers very friendly....this is my favorite "go to"....5 out of 5!!!

The store manager Harolyn Abney here goes above and beyond customer service....she found me some rare whiskey and called me to let me know she found it.. then called me to let me know it was in.... I will shop nowhere else... fat dog don't loose this employee! The staff is great as well shows you what great leadership can do...

Great liquor store with great prices. I'm from Austin and love how they are the same family as Spec's and offer a cash discount. I would highly recommend this liquor store for its cheaper prices as opposed to the others around the Tyler area.

Great deals compared to competitor's but will they be like Wal-Mart and run every little mom and pop store out of town and then jack up the prices? We shall see. Other fat dog stores in the area aren't even as cheap at the moment so...to be continued.

Visiting Tyler for a few days, drove another 40 miles round trip to buy a bottle of booze because of course (as I recently found out) Smith County is dry.Prices aren't bad at FD, but one of the two young women working there was very rude and condescending for no reason at all. The woman with glasses who appears to be a little older than the other really needs to learn decent customer service skills.There is another liquor store right next to this one that you'd be better off trying - maybe they don't have such bad customer service? Personally, I'll just make sure I bring some liquor up with me from home the next time I visit Tyler.It is really foolish for a county to be "dry" in the first place IMO. People are spending money in the next county that they'd spend in yours - you're not stopping people from drinking liquor. Also, people can buy mixed drinks in restaurants, and are more likely to drive drunk coming from the restaurant than they would if they have liquor at home.For those who think dry counties are a good thing, if you don't want to buy or drink liquor, no one is stopping you from making that choice. Why impose your views on others who also work, pay taxes, spend money in the community, etc?

Always greeted, not rushed into choosing from workers and great prices on their drinks as well as Cigars. Cigars are usually pretty fresh too. Only liquor store I visit in this particular area
