Being a employee at the store as well as a member of the community I enjoy bringing great customers service to all customers but to be completely honest it's a bit difficult and very frustrating to give my community the customer service I feel they deserve when the store does not have a manger that applies themselves as part of a team member! Dollar General PLEASE HELP! 😔 Or is corporate even a team member themselves and do they even read these reviews!! 😢

Worst dollar general ever. Yesterday a line of people about ten waiting on the only self check register ever and gosh forbid the associate could check out anyone! It’s awful and I only stop if to grab a couple items! I think more people would buy shopping carts full but don’t want to hassle with self check! Way to go no service Dollar General! Can’t see this being there that long.

Worse Dollar general on the entire planet. For too many reasons to mention here. They also can’t keep any staff. Managers always quitting. Now they’ve got a regional corporate bootlicker that’s about as sharp as a bowling ball. And while I’m at it, if I ever go back there again to buy cigarettes, I only have to show my ID to verify my age and the fourth amendment of the constitution says I do not have to allow you to enter my birthdate into your computer system.

Staff is always nice but I'm very frustrated with the digital coupon scam. Everytime mine won't work and corporate says they'll fix it and have trained the employees to apologize and say there must be a glitch. Not cool because most items in my basket I had only got cause I had a coupon. Several of my friends said they have the same issue. Corporate is very hard to get a hold of a human being and if you are irked for the last time you wait 35-40 minutes just to be told same thing... Glitch, they'll fix it and get back with you and never do. It's not just one certain location it's at all I've visited. Corporate also needs to give more payroll money because all stores I've visited are so cluttered and stock sits in isles to be shelved and makes for huge fire hazard and having to move big carts to get what you need. I use to love these stores but very disappointed with corporate mismanagement. The digital coupons seems like a bait and switch scam just to get you in the store, just not to work.

Spencer at the Dollar General is absolutely amazing! He risked his own safety during all this ice, snow and rolling blackouts, to go open the store so his community would have access to things they may need to make it through. He needs a raise for his amazing work ethic and compassion!

The associates are really kind and helpful and the store usually has everything I need. But I refuse to shop anywhere that the management ABUSES their staff.

I understand this store is under staffed but the employees need to be more aware of what's going on in their store. EVERY TIME I go in I have to hunt down an employee for check out. Even when they see a customer standing at the register they ignore the person because it's "not their shift on the register". It's ridiculous. Meyers, Tommy's, and dollar general in tolar do not deserve anyone's business.

-2 stars. Rolltainers at both ends of every aisle and I mean every! Not to mention boxes and merchandise in floors . I had to back out of 2 aisles cause they were blocked. Hard to shop when you can't get to merchandise. Store is a disgrace!

They've cleaned it up and got new employee's that are helpful. It's a good value for your $ I can spend a lot in here though.
