I had been looking at a particular Cold Steel knife online for many years, and when I saw it on Scheels’ website for a great price (stating that it was available for in-store pickup) I decided to head on out to the store to finally see it in person. This was my first time at any Scheels store, and if you haven’t been, you MUST go! I went to the store in The Colony, in North Texas, and it was HUGE, and had an amazing collection. This is now my FAVORITE sporting goods store. Also a big shoutout to Jeff Stout, the amazing employee who was super awesome, and patiently took out several examples of the knife I was looking for that they had in stock (even opening and unpacking a brand new one from the back) just so that I could examine them closely & pick out the best one. Mr. Stout was really awesome, and allowed me all the time I required to carefully look over each one to make sure I was absolutely satisfied. I told him it was my first time at a Scheels, so asked me what I was interested in seeing, and he personally accompanied me, showing me where everything was, and what items I definitely should not miss. Well, I got everything on my list AND THEN SOME! Best shopping day in a long time. Came away with so much awesome stuff that I just don’t see anywhere else, and it was all here at Scheels!

probably the most incredible, sporting good store I have ever been in they have everything you can possibly want or need firearms, archery hunting, fishing waters, sports surfing, wakeboarding, pool, toys, dogs clothing, every sport you could possibly imagine. Employees were fantastic to places clean two stories of Ferris wheel in the middle for some reason, can imagine if you go to this place and you’re in need of any type of sporting goods and they don’t have it. I would be absolutely shocked.

Great sporting good store! They have absolutely everything you could need. Everything from football, soccer and outdoors sports. They have most sporting teams merchandise. If you’re hungry or thirsty while shopping they even have a food court. You can spend the whole afternoon is this massive store! Even though we visited on Black Friday and it was insanely packed customer service was still great!

Every possible sports item, you can imagine under one roof and a Ferris wheel to boot! That’s What are you find at the store!Every department is stocked very well. With a huge variety of items. For example, the gun department, I’ve never seen so many guns under my roof!Every department is well arranged, and is manned by courteous and knowledgeable sales personnel who seem very happy to help you!

This place is out of this world… an absolutely incredible sporting goods store. I can’t wait til they build one in north Austin (Cedar Park) since I’m from San Antonio. I heard 2026. Guns forever. A ferris wheel 🎡?! Aquarium fish tank that you can walk under?! A candy store and cafe also… and of course an endless selection of sporting goods. See pics… you gotta go see this place. Also, the employees are very friendly, welcoming and helpful.

Always like Scheels and their store: many product to choose from and sometimes good prices too. But this time Scheels really dropped the ball on handling and shipping of my order. Package arrived like this shown pic, ammo scattered everywhere and I counted the total number of shells, it’s missing 6.Very disappointed and I won’t order again from them online.----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------After my initial review, Scheels reached out and they made things right for me. I am glad the customer service was still there and their gesture has changed my mind about going back. Thanks and keep up the good work.

Great selections for small bags. Right now running sales after nye. Also sales area for on and hoka shoes ! Very busy store tho. Parking lot gets full quickly after open

This is a destination place if n your in North Texas. Lots to do and places to eat around the area. Huge store with thousands. Maybe millions of items for sell. Everything outdoors and sports. Friendly work team members. Just not enough help in the running shoe area. But pretty good prices. I’m not against hunting. But it is a little overwhelming by how many animals are mounted on the walls. Huge massive collection.

I went in to buy a swimsuit and it had been over a decade since I swam for exercise and I was unsure what size to buy. Ivory helped me tremendously. She was clearly knowledgeable about the swim wear and made great recommendations based on my pant size and torso length and even gave me a recommendation based on my hair length for a cap and she was incredibly nice while doing it. I really appreciated Ivory and can't wait to go back.

Fun store to browse around. They have everything sporty you need from clothing, guns, camping gear, swimming suits. They have a giant Ferris wheel in the middle of the store. It’s fun! We loved our freeze dried skittles we bought from the candy store.

It was my very first time coming to a place like this yesturday 11/22/23 this place is very big and very beautiful it’s very new they just opened up the place there’s lots of restaurants inside and there’s lots of things to see but but if you don’t pay attention you can get lost very quickly in this place.i am from California and I already love it here.

This place is amazing! It is huge and has just about everything you will need for an active and adventurous lifestyle! Expect to spend at least an hour in here because you may go for one thing but will end up stopping to look at everything! We found everything we need to take our UK trip! Employees are nice, and restrooms are clean! They have an eatery inside and cool things for kids. Thank you, Scheels!

Is there a better sporting goods store? No. Scheels is unbeatable. It's amazing, humongous, and has everything an athlete needs.As an avid runner and someone who works out regularly, there's no better place for me to find gear than Scheels. Half of my closet was purchased here, and that's because the clothing and shoes they sell are high quality unlike Academy.Recently, I was walking around searching for a shirt in a specific shade of blue when an employee asked if she could help. She ended up on a shirt finding mission with me. She was so freaking sweet. Their staff is the absolute best.

I have never heard of Scheels until today. It was a combination of bass pro sports and Cabela's but way larger and more extravagant. There were all sorts of things to do including a ferris wheel in the middle of the store, a fancy aquarium in front and animatronics of Nolan Ryan and Emmitt Smith upstairs. There was a little bit of everything for both grown ups and kids to enjoy. We will definitely be back for more.

I absolutely love the Halloween fish tank as you enter the store! Customer service was excellent . All of the employees that we interacted with were helpful and friendly. Phoenix in the shoe are was knowledgeable and friendly. And I love the Ferris wheel 🎡

An experience for the outdoor life well presented and entertaining to casually browse. Reasonable pricing on the hiking,camping gear good selection of clothing very impressive layout worth going to see it, we were already in the area sure wish there was one a little to the west.

I visited yesterday for the first time, and I was given help with fitting a hiking bag to my shoulders and hips. I also chatted to the optics manager and she has a wealth of knowledge that I could have listened to for an hour. Very friendly, professional, and experienced in her field. I'm happy with my experience there. I only wish I had remembered to take advantage of their military discount!

One of my favorite one stop outdoor stores…Stone glacier& First lite gear. Gun & bow cases. Dog Kennels. Swarovski optics! I could spend hours in this store.
