My dog and I love the staff here! My dog is easily nervous and has separation anxiety, but everyone here has been so kind and patient with him that he never trembles anymore when he walks in. They do an excellent job of posting pictures with a twice daily report card for full-day daycare/boarding, with notes about how he does during the day. The staff that has been here 2023-2024 has been excellent!

I boarded our GSP (pepper ) at this location for five days and was not disappointed. I got daily report cards with pictures and comments. I was also able to see her play through live video during play time.Staff is very friendly as well. We will be coming back.

Unprofessional, rude, and overall inconsiderate.My family dog had red eyes along with scars along the body. The staff response was nonchalant and dismissive. I immediately took our family dog to the veterinarian, which had to provided treatment, and reported this business to my contacts at The Anti-Cruelty Society.This specific franchise location does reflect the company's values. This is not a place for dog lovers, and their handling of my family dog was completely unethical and unacceptable.The staff response was at best unprofessional and at worst simply disgusting. As a dog lover and vocal advocate, no dogs should be treated within this manner.

We have been taking our dogs to Pappy's for 20 years. My dog went in to be groomed, and it was horrible. Felt bad for the young inexperienced groomer, but my husband was upset. We both were. The groomer sliced my dog's ear and shaved off his beard and wiskers (we have a terrier mix). The ear is permanently damaged but healing. My husband called to talk to the manager and was blown completely off. It's been almost two weeks and no response. We've been boarding our dog here since he was a puppy but will be finding a new establishment. They can't be trusted will my dog's care.

I was really hoping to like this place, but I am very disappointed. I am praying that when I pick my fur baby up she is fine. The cameras don’t work & we were promised that we would receive pictures & never received until we called to check on her. The back yard camera that does work not once have I seen our baby out for a potty break or playing outside. I did not have a peace of mind while out of the country. I am back to square 1 of finding a good lodging place formy fur baby

We've boarded our two dogs together here a few times and they always come home smelling strongly of urine, but typically happy. This time we only boarded them for 3 days. We were quoted $53/day and charged 53 per dog per day. When we went to pick them up the girl at the front desk didn't even know if we had brought them with leashes. She brought them out to us unleashed and they were so hyper and covered in urine we're fairly certain our dogs were never played with or let out at any point over the three days. Very disappointed in the service, especially for how much they charge. If you care about your animals at all I would not recommend Pappy's

Kathy, Celina and Misty were awesome! I left my Moose with them over the weekend and they took excellent care of him. I love that they have daycare with supervision and plenty of play time! If you’re looking for lodging, look no further than this place. Can’t recommend enough.

I have 2 dogs and 1 cat. One of my dogs is HUGE, and very people aggressive! But the staff at Pappy's, in The Colony, have been PHENOMENAL with him!!! We moved from The Colony to Flower Mound, but I still take my babies to Pappy's, in The Colony. I don't trust anyone else. I will praise them to anyone that will listen! 5 stars!!!

This was the first time my Molly had been boarded overnight. She absolutely loves the daycare that she goes to and going nightly to our local dog park. She is extremely social and loves to play with the other dogs. I was unable to get her into our normal daycare place for this weekend so Pappys had incredible reviews so I felt confident using them. I was extremely wrong. My husband had an uneasy feeling when we brought her in which I talked him out of. The little receptionist told us several times we would get pictures of molly. Never got a single one. While we were filling out paperwork the receptionist got a call with someone who was upset with her service and would not be bringing her dog back. Red flag. I take responsibility because I did mess up our dates and Molly needs to stay an extra night the receptionist said oh no problem I will let them know. Tell me why I'm standing at my grandparents grave sight and I have Pappys calling me asking me if we are picking up molly?!!!!! Uh no your receptionist said she would take care of it. I have the absolute worst feeling the entire weekend and I watched the cameras like a hawk but in the end we were told molly didn't want to do playtime, she hardly ate and it was just an awful experience. The staff is extremely friendly but this is extremely unusual behavior for my dog. I myself personally have also been a receptionist for over 16 years. So I get it. Totally understand. You're dealing with animals though who can't speak and when I pick my dog up I shouldn't see her in the state that she was in. I am sorry for this review because I was ready to give great thoughts about this place but absolutely 100% I would really make sure this place is the correct place to leave your fur baby. Thank you to Pappys staff for watching Molly while we were away.

Update - I never received a call or a voicemail from this.My dog will never be coming back here. We picked him up with red marks on his belly, a paw, and also had something sticky all over his back side, tail, and back legs. We had to give him another bath when we got home. I also keep trusting this place to give him a good cut and twice now he’s come back completely shaven. He's a terrier mix with long hair, and now almost looks ill. I’ve asked over and over to please not touch the length of his face, but he continues to come back with a complete full, short shave. Waste of time and money.

We put Snoop in the private kennel area, less noise by the receptionist. We pay extra for 1-1 time, just Snoop and an employee just to cuddle with him. Everyone is very kind & professional. The groomer did a great job too. Highly recommend this location.

Horrible experience trying to book a stay for our dog here. Firstly, tried to book online and inadvertently booked for the Addison location due to The Colony not being an option on the website (somehow a user error, but when I clicked on The Colony for booking, it took me to Pappy’s site and I thought I was booking for that location). Understand they are franchised and different owners, but how do I know that? After that mishap, we called them directly and were told, no worries, just come as a walk-in and make sure to bring the vaccination records. Checked with my husband when we wanted to take them and he called them as well to confirm a walk-in was okay and we didn’t need reservations. Same details with sure, bring them in and make sure they have the 3 vaccinations and bring records (neither time offering a way to send them digitally). So, my husband delayed going into work to take them in at opening (we have a 1yr old so I stayed home with him) and when my husband and two big dogs arrived at Pappy’s with paperwork, they told him, sorry, we only accept 6 month bordetella shots and not 1 year shots. He had to drag our dogs back in the car and home, then head to work. NOT a good first experience attempting to have our dogs spend daycare there.

We've been at this specific Pappy's location for the last 3 years and we will definitely never use this location again.We're heading out of the country today, only to discover that this The Colony location failed to follow-up on our reservation request from two weeks ago. When I called and spoke to "Hailey" (which may not be her real name?) she was rude, inconsiderate and completely unwilling to help rectify the situation whatsoever. When asked to call other locations for me, her response was: "We're busy."But that's not all. We've had a laundry list of issues with this location for the last three years, from shaving our husky's undercoat (which is something that should NEVER happen) to just the way the building smells like stale urine every time you walk in. It's clearly not a clean facility.I'm grateful that the Plano Pappy's were able to step up and help us during this emergency. Everyone beware - The Colony location is a franchise and completely separate from the other locations.

The young man who groomed our dog today did an amazing job. She apparently had a great time as she was so happy when we picked her up and not the slightest bit stressed. She looked so pretty. Have taken her to The Colony location several times and will continue going there. 5 star plus pleased!!!!

We were worried about Fergus because he doesn't play nice with other dogs. They were so good with him! I watched the Webcam non-stop. Staff was always attentive and ready to step in if necessary. When we picked up our baby, we were given helpful feedback about Fergus and his interactions with his furry friends. This place rocks!

Worse Dog Grooming service ever. If you love your dog DO NOT bring them here. When I picked my dog up he had sores on his tail and along his hind legs. He was not properly washed and was still wet when I picked him up. When I asked about it, they gaslit me and said he was already like that. The staff and manager were beyond rude and nasty. He was visibly distressed when I picked him up and was anxious for the next couple of days. Very TRAUMATIC experience.

We LOVE Pappy’s! Not only do we get our sweet boy, Romeo groomed here but we also had him boarded over Christmas. This was his first time we’ve had him boarded and I was worried how he would respond. Thanks to Kathy and Amaya, Romeo felt at home. I HIGHLY recommend this place and I’m thankful for how welcoming they were and how well they cared for my boy when I couldn’t. Thank you!!!

Very disappointed with their grooming services. I never leave bad reviews, but felt I needed to on this experience. First time using this location and will be the last. As soon as I picked up my Shih Tzu, I noticed his ears weren't cut right (very uneven), along with his tail. I had asked not to shave his butt, and it looked like they did (it was also very agitated). The groomer had already left for the day, but I wanted a different groomer to fix him and was advised they only had one groomer. I told the front lady that I was very unsatisfied and will not be back and to let the manager know. I spoke to the manager a week later (after me trying to reach her a couple of times) and she basically defended the groomer. She wasn't sympathetic at all. I did not want the same groomer touching my dog, at least refund the tip I paid, nope!

Love Pappy’s Pet Lodge! My Lab/Pit mix does not let anyone cut his nails, but Amaya was so patient with him and was able to do what I thought would be impossible!! He’s been to two other groomers and he wouldn't even get out of the cage to be washed! The staff is amazing! So thankful I finally found a place my pup is comfortable going!!!

I am beyond disappointed by the service I received. I have been here 3 times but this is my last time ever coming My puppy came in from grooming and she was ABUSED once I picked her up!!! What is wrong with the staff!! They lied to me about happened to her even though I have pictures to proved how she looked before she came in. Do not bring your babies here!! This is a very unprofessional place and my baby girl will never be the same !! Please do not go here!

I wish I could leave a great review as I have had better luck at other locations…but my first time trying this location with a horrifying experience. I was gone for 5 days where my two small pups were to have a daycare and a bath before I picked them up. Upon my arrival, I was greeted with my dogs with no bath and reeked of urine. Almost to the point as if my dogs were sitting in their own output for who knows how long. One of my dogs has white fur… his legs were discolored YELLOW due to urine. It makes me question how many times they actually were given outdoor / daycare. I have never had this problem at other pappy locations. I also realized that my pups were not given the daily snacks OR prepared cans of dog food I provided. They were not once touched as I provided 5days worth. The last thing I wanted to do after traveling was to come home to wash my pups, but that's exactly what I had to do. To add to it, The front desk lady was very rude both when I dropped them off and picked them up.

We love taking our fur baby to Pappy's in The Colony! They are good with him and help with his separation anxiety.Customer service is awesome too! During our most recent visit at the end of May, I forgot to include daily doggy daycare and an exit bath prior to pick. The staff was wonderful by communicating via email during my travel out of town. Are they were kind enough to update request so our dog, Champ would have socialization during his stay and a nice bath before being picked up!

We had to board our 4 chihuahuas for our wedding. This was their first overnight away from home and from mommy and daddy. I don't think they wanted to leave when we picked them up lol. Pappy's staff was so friendly and attentive. they really took good care of our fur babies. The bathing services were excellent, every dog had a nice smell and shiny coat. Highly recommend!

I love these folks. We typically leave our Irish Wolfhound puppy with them for daycare once a week, and she never comes home with that weird kennel cleaner smell. She's always so excited to go hang out with her dog friends, and it's so nice to be able to give her someplace warm and dry to play and run around on those days when it's just too gross outside.The staff are all wonderfully friendly and kind, not just with us, but with all the puppers, too. I've never had a poor experience at this location. The groomer is excellent, and she even trimmed our wolfhound's face so she could see without losing that scruffy wolfhound look.Thank you guys so much for all you do!

Pappy's took our dachshund Milo in with no issues. He hasn't had a lot of interaction with other dogs, so being able to watch him on the camera feed was very reassuring. He seemed to enjoy his time there. Pick up was super easy, he seemed happy and not afraid of the staff, and they gave us a report card on his behavior and play.I will definitely be bringing Milo and our new guy Teddy back to Pappy's whenever we need a sitter.Very friendly staff and clean environment from what I experienced.

I recently took my 15 year old Schnauzer to the Pappy's in the The Colony. She had not been to a boarder in a very long time! She is blind and somewhat feeble. I was concerned about boarding her but they assured me they had taken care of numerous older dogs tin the past. The people that were there when I dropped her off were so nice and gentle with her and so kind to me!! Every person I met, from the person I spoke to on the phone to the guy that was there when I picked her up, was very nice and professional. I would recommend this facility to everyone! This is hands down the best boarding experience I have ever had!!

PLEASE DO NOT BOARD YOUR PETS AT THIS LOCATION. I have been taking my dogs to this facility for over 4 years. The first couple of years, the service and attention to my dogs was phenomenal. However, the last few years the service and facility has gone straight down hill.We have had issues ranging from….picking up our dogs reeking of urine and stained yellow (our dog is white), leaving the facility only to have our dogs leave with a Gastrointestinal Virus and the last instant our dogs caught Kennel Cough. Due to all these issues, it leads me to believe they are not fully taking care of the facility much less the animals they are watching.We will not be back to this location unless new management takes over and ensures pet care is first priority and facility cleanliness is second.

This place is amazing!! I took my furbaby (Hudson pit/lab mix) here for the first time this week. It was actually the first experience I've ever had with a doggy day care. I knew Hudson would enjoy it as long as he got to interact with other dogs. So when I got there the lady explained how everything works and it's basically run just like a daycare for kids!! They have play time, then quiet time for a couple of hours in the afternoon, then more play time! I used their half a day drop off option and since it was our first visit, it was completely free!!! Come on people!! Where else can you try the services of such an amazing place for your furbaby for free? With as hot as it is this time of year, I'm considering taking him once a week just for him to have the playtime with other dogs. And all the ladies that work there that I encountered are so sweet!
