North Colony Animal Clinic saved our cat's life.This is going to be a VERY long review so tldr: This clinic saved our cats life. If you love your pet, take them here. You won't regret it.Originally, I took our Pepper to another clinic who diagnosed him with liver damage and diabetes. He was jaundiced and had been in the throes of ketoacidosis for days before we noticed he was sick. That clinic offered treatment at outrageous fees that we couldn't afford. I took our furry buddy home to discuss our options with my housemates. Pepper belongs to all of us, he is no one in this houses cat. So we all, tearfully, agreed to share the cost of euthanasia. We could see that he was suffering and we wanted his pain to end. Well, as fate would have it, that clinic was closed on Wednesdays (seriously? Who tf is closed on a business day!?)It turned out to be a good thing that they were closed because I set an appointment at North Colony Animal Clinic, the next day, to have our little man put down. My housemates all cried openly as they gave him hugs and kisses goodbye that morning and I brought him in. Alyssa walked in and began discussing the terms of euthanasia and what we would like in terms of ashes and the containers and such. Just before we made the final agreement to seal Pepper's fate, I said, "before we do this, I just want to be absolutely certain there is no other option". I explained that, due to his condition, there was no way that we could afford to treat him. Immediately, Alyssa told me that we have a couple of very viable and even likely options! This is something that the other vet did not do. They only offered expensive treatment or death.I won't get into the specifics of the financial options available but, if you think that you can't afford to treat your pet, please consult Alyssa at the North Colony Animal Clinic (NCAC henceforth) before you decide that euthanasia is the only option. It doesn't HAVE to be. If our original clinic had been open on Wednesdays, our Pepper would be nothing but a memory to us now.I cannot praise highly enough Alyssa and doctor TJ Bowe. They both deserve raises and honor and prestige for they truly excel at what they do for a living and deserve recognition. Both of them worked closely with our sick little furry friend and I could tell that he liked them. Cats have a way of tattling on those who are not kind to them and every single time I brought Pepper home after his very intensive treatment, he was a happy guy. At least, as happy as a sick little guy could be.I would also like to mention that the front desk help is also wonderful. Every single person that I have spoken to is perfect. When I first called to set the appointment to have Pepper put to sleep, I became emotional and had to stop my speech several times to collect myself, she was very patient, understanding and empathetic. 10/10 would call again.It is because of fate or possibly even divine intervention (I tend to believe that) that we discovered NCAC and our Pepper is still alive and gracing us with his majestic presence 😂 From now on, ALL of our pets will be going to this clinic when they need to and we have 3 others. Oh, and a ball Python (so I guess that's 4) but I'm not sure how they feel about snek. From what they've shown me though, NOTHING is out of their league. All-Star professionals, every single one.

I’ve been extremely impressed and thankful to everyone who works here. Front staff has always been kind and accommodating, minimal wait times, and even if there is a wait it’s well worth it for the quality of service they provide.Dr. K Bowe has been taking care of my big boy, Arlo and has routinely reached out to see how he is feeling after a difficult month of being ill.She was out of the office for a short amount of time and relayed his case to Dr. TJ Bowe so if I had any issues or concerns, I had someone who was well informed to turn to about Arlo.Arlo has seen three vets there for various reasons and not once have I walked away thinking it was money wasted. They always take the time to listen to you, give feedback/suggestions, and won’t stop until your best friend is healthier and happier.This clinic was recommended to me by a friend and now I recommend them to everyone else!

We take our pets to Dr. Grimes and she is by far the best vet we've had. She spends time when answering all of our questions fully and we never feel like we're leaving confused or doing the wrong thing for our family. You can tell she really understands that our pets are our family. We appreciate that extra touch when calling us at home to check up and fields our 100 additional questions without issue.We've had good experiences with all other vets and the techs at the clinic. They are all always kind and knowledgeable. Appointments are painless with the front desk and they squeeze us in if they can and we need a quick appointment.

Vets and office were excellent.We used the boarding for our dog several times and every time we picked her up she couldn’t wait to get a drink of water. She peed and pooped four times in one day at one of our pick ups and pooped five times on the next boarding pick up. Not sure if she was not let out at all. Won’t be using that service again

Dr. Bowe was the surgeon who repaired a broken femur on my then 3yr old dog, while he was in the care of a rescue. I went back to him 8 years later, when his hip was bothering him, and not only he remembered him and had all his records. After X-Rays there wasn’t anything he could do surgery wise, so he gave me recommendations to manage his discomfort plus prescribed some meds. After a few weeks of doing what he said my dog regain use of his hip and has been doing great since.A month agYears eve, my dog had bloody diarrhea and we had to take him to an emergency vet. To my surprise, Dr. Bowe called on the first business day, and left me a message saying he was notified of our ER visit and was calling to check on my dog to see if he was doing better or if he needed something else. I was floored he took the time to call personally.Dr Bowe is a very experienced, kind, caring and professional Vet, and I’m so grateful and lucky to have gone back to his practice. Yes, getting a same day appointment is very unlikely ( same situation with PCP’s for humans!) so for emergencies I take my dog to Urgent Vet in Prosper, and see Dr. Bowe for yearly checks and issues related to his hip or overall wellbeing. That’s the combo that works for us because I know I won’t get his level of care anywhere else, and I trust him wholeheartedly for my dog.

I spent one month and a half waiting for a spot to groom my dog, it was my understanding that North Colony Clinic was a trustworthy grooming business.On June 11, we finally got our appointment at 8:30 AM, our request was to style her hair in a way that she would not sweep the floor with it. I explained to them that we did not want short hair, again, we wanted her hair styled but not sweeping the floor.At 2:30 PM the same day we went to pick her up. To our SURPRISE our seven-month-old Maltese was almost bald, her ears were chopped, and her tail was bothering her. The dog was anxious when we got there, and her behavior was somehow depressed and stress out.At that moment I expressed to the front desk lady my disappointment with the haircut, honestly, we were IN SHOCK! We couldn’t convey any words. The front desk lady suggested to talk to the technician, but she was in a meeting, so we left a voice message.Friday June 12, I contacted them and request to have an appointment with the manager. The manager was unavailable, and I left another message. I have tried to talk with the administration and or the technician several times, but no one reached out to me.After several research, I am aware that what they did to my dog was not professional and they did not honor the behavioral well-being of the dog.Since that day, she does not want to go on walks and has become traumatized and self-aware of her lack of hair, she fears everything, her behavior is different.

I have been going to the vets here at North colony animal clinic ever since we got a puppy which is 4 years now and we have been taking our second puppy there too ever since we got him. They spend a lot of time answering questions and spending time on my dogs. I love them :)

I love this clinic. Dr. Grimes has taken care of my Tank since I got her a year a go. She's now also taking care of my new pup, Warlock. They have worked well with me every time I've needed to come in. Dr. Grimes is patient with my million and one questions. I'm paranoid about my pups and she's incredibly patient with me when I'm freaking out. It is slightly expensive, but honestly, my dogs are my children and the money is worth it with the level of care we receive every time I walk through the door. And honestly, it's pretty manageable. Alexis has answered multiple panicked phone calls and is always kind and calms me down. I genuinely love this clinic, the doctors, and the techs. I can't imagine taking my pups anywhere else.

Dr. Grimes was our little dog's doctor for several years in Lubbock and was there when it was finally time for us to say goodbye to him. Her kindness and compassion to our family (and to Chino) during those days will NEVER be forgotten. HANDS DOWN THE BEST PLACE TO TAKE YOUR DOG. I can remember the vets name that helped us but we was so amazing. Very patient with a lot of answers. Listened to all we had to say and answered all questions we had. Did not rush us at all. And even shared some life stories of his own with his own dogs. We will definitely be back! I cannot say enough about NCAC!! The quality and level of care are Platinum Standard, especially for Orthopedics. From Reception to Checkout every member of the team is EXCEPTIONAL!EVERY Dr. is a skilled clinician and the surgeons are a level above most others.They support Rescue and their price points make surgery possible for many who normally would have to make a "tougher decision". They LITERALLY saved our pups broken leg from amputation; we would have loved him anyway, yet it is always nice for a 4-legged furbaby to keep all 4.❤ 🐾THANK YOU NCAC from Heather, Corbin and Buckeye (formerly Roman).

I came in for the technician appointment on Wednesday September 13 and the vet tech who assisted me was very helpful so I will be sharing my experience here.My pup needs to get benadryl before any shot, I explained to her that I did not need a anything else done but just the shot. For clarity, we had just gone to the groomer so she did not need a nail trim and my pup gets very nervous away from me. She explained that she can give the benadryl and bring my pup back up and let her sit with me until it is time to get her shot since there were no rooms available due to the high volume of people coming in and out of the clinic that day. When she brought her back out after receiving benadryl, she explained that she would be back up in about 10 minutes. She even brought out a water bowl while we waited! She came out right at 9 minutes. Very attentive and sweet vet tech, and definitely calmed both of us down. I have had my go around with some of the other vet techs here, but without a doubt, I will be asking for the young lady that assisted me again. Thank you Miss Gentry!

The staff is amazing. We had been going to another vet, and over time, we were turned away from the continuous upsell of services. Dr. Bowe and the assistant were great from the beginning, answering all of our questions and never pushy. We came with our dog who has been having allergy issues and he was honest about what he knew would work but also gave us alternatives. We will definitely be recommending them and be back if we need to do.

Less than 10 minutes from my house and the staff is always friendly, seem to enjoy their jobs and visiting with the pups. Today was just a routine Bordella vaccine & I opted for Tech curbside service. He came to car and took each pup inside then the receptionist called to get card info. Very efficient and never had to leave my car. Price was also reasonable. Visit was less than half hour for 2 dogs.

Came home to a complication on my dogs surgery, just a leaking abscess but still scary. Were seen in less than an hour, eased all our worries and went ahead and took stitches out so we didn’t have to come back tomorrow morning for our appointment to remove stitches. Kindest most compassionate vets and staff we have ever found, this is our vet for all our animals now

We moved here a little over two years ago and chose this vet based on proximity and reviews. We have seen all four veterinarians here and each have shown our two dogs such attention and care. Although I know they are busy, I always feel like they are willing to spend as much time as I need to make me feel assured everything has been addressed (and then some). Their response time is AMAZING - if you leave a message, you will always hear back within a few hours at most.The receptionists are also very helpful and friendly. Every visit comes with a complimentary nail trim which is always nice. I highly recommend using this veterinary office!

I will start by saying that our visit today at North Colony Animal Clinic was the best experience ever at a vet clinic (combined between the two places we lived in US: New York City and Frisco).They accommodated us, for the annual visit, very easy and quickly.The appointment started on time (no delays).Everyone in the office very friendly and professional.Very reasonable fees!Dr. Kaitlin Grimes is excellent; her demeanor, her work ethics and her way of communicating are heavenly. Dr. Grimes took her time to explain us all the advantages and benefits of given our cat the most important vaccines (as I am not a vax person). She was very kind and gentle with our cat who responded very well and friendly to the doctor. She explained what are the most common problems in this area for cats and what are the best methods to prevent our cat from getting infected with certain local viruses. We simply loved her.Can't wait to take our dogs to her for their annual visit.Highly recommend this vet clinic!!!!!!!!!!!

I’ve used this place for over a decade. I’ve seen multiple doctors, but my most frequented dr is Darbro. He is a no nonsense vet who balances pets well being with financial concerns and figures out solutions. He also is a great doctor for rare or hard to beat situations. He doesn’t give up. I’m tired of strip mall vets renting a space next to a subway or nail shop and not being able to do anything except annual visits and spay/neuter. This place is a real deal vet.
