For being a small aquarium and fish store, they have a wide variety of fresh and saltwater fish and sea life!!! I was thoroughly impressed with their stock of food as well. All the big names in dry goods were present. Their coral selection and prices are also hard to beat!!!! Friendly and knowledgeable staff as well!!!! Glad I found this little gem and they will be seeing a lot more of me in the future 😁

I wish I had taken some pictures to share. Will next time and there will definitely be a next time. Cool little shop totally non-pretentious. Good variety of fish and plants. Staff were super approachable and incredibly helpful. We’re very new in our fish keeping journey. All our questions were answered very respectfully and honestly. Nobody tried to upsell me on things i didnt need, but I definitely left with everything i do need, and the confidence and training to start my tank cycling and in get my aquarium going strong.I’m super glad we found this place and it was definitely worth our drive from Celina.I wish I remembered the name of the gentleman who helped us so much (my memory isjust awful). I came in with my three kids on 1-11-24. He made us loyal customers. If you’re reading this, thank you!

I typically refrain from providing negative feedback, but I feel it's essential to share my experiences honestly. I would rate this establishment a 3-star mainly due to my interactions with a specific staff member – a long-haired blonde individual. Unfortunately, my encounters with them have been somewhat dismissive. During a recent visit, I came in with a specific product inquiry, hoping to find it in stock. However, the staff member, rather than assisting me actively, promptly mentioned that the manufacturer doesn't sell the parts separately. While this is a valid response, I was disappointed by the lack of effort in suggesting a substitution.As a customer, this was a frustrating experience. On a positive note, other staff members, especially a helpful brunette, have been instrumental in assisting me. I appreciate his assistance in identifying the replacement pump I needed, facilitating a successful purchase.I believe there is room for improvement in customer service training for the staff, particularly addressing instances like the one I encountered. It's worth mentioning that I have not faced any issues with the owner; in fact, my experiences with him have been positive.Therefore, focusing on enhancing the customer service skills of specific staff members could significantly enhance the overall customer experience at the establishment.

This place is so cool to check out. They have a great selection of fish to purchase and seem pretty knowledgeable.What was disappointing was there was a tank in the back with beautiful orange fish and they were all dead or close to death. I have a hard time understanding how some tanks look pristine and others just have dead fish in it. There is work to be done if yall have fish dying and all the associates are just hanging out on their phones.Wanted to love this place more, but please take care of these creatures more.Additionally when we walked in we were greeted which was great. But we were also first time potential customers and I feel the staff here could have informed us more about the place rather than just saying “oh great, take a look around”.

I got some plants and 6 gold cloud minnows from here, and also got some plants from other places.Absolutely zero melting. The java moss was *chefs kiss*, the salvinia has at least tripled already, and everything else is still green and happy (which I can’t say about the other stuff). The fish are perfectly healthy and happy. Really nice and helpful guys, and super patient too since I got hit with the biggest headache on my way to the store. I’ll definitely be back!

We love Aquastudios! They are always informative but never judgy, and have helped us so much in the past few months with our algae fight. Any fish we’ve bought from here were very healthy. We had them service our tank today (on a time crunch). They were accommodating and affordable. He was super professional, respectful of our home, speedy, and did a great job! The back of our tank was disgusting and he handled it like a true pro. Thank you guys!!

I usually travel to Addison for decent fish options since there’s nothing further north except big box stores. Found this place which is a much more reasonable drive for me, and I was pleasantly surprised to see a great selection of freshwater fish. Place is cramped, but it’s not a big deal. Prices were on point with any other place selling fish from reputable breeders.

Could have just been my experience but here goes:I walked into a cool looking shop FULLY prepared to spend money there. I walked around looking at the selection.They had a small, but nice assortment of fish, coral, etc. tanks everywhere.When I walked In, there were 2 people currently working. One ended up leaving shortly after. It looked like he was the boss.After walking around, I decided to ask for advice since this will be my first tank/fish/the whole 9. All I kept getting was “it’s your preference really” whenever I asked a question.Sir, I have no preference. That’s why I’m asking for advice.The guy seemed nice enough, but absolutely wasn’t helpful at all. There was another customer that was more helpful honestly.I ended up leaving without spending a red cent. Only to purchase a similar sized tank I had seen there.From my first impression, I would say this is a high end enthusiast shop. You go there if you know exactly what you’re looking for and don’t actually need any help. I was a little bummed to walk out of there empty handed bc I like supporting small businesses.

Some of the best guys you can find in the business! Coral is amazing, fish are always healthy, and they’re constantly improving the store. The advice you’ll get from these folks can be taken directly to the bank. The store is always clean and inviting, prices are spot on.

Visited this shop over the weekend. It is clearly a store ran by an enthusiast, for enthusiasts. I was able to pick up a LPS frag that I haven't been able to find elsewhere, some macroalgae, and some freshwater shrimp as well for our planted tank. If you're looking for a local business run by people who actually care about the hobby, this is your spot.

Very recently changed ownership. New owner is revamping the store currently.They still have a ton of nice tanks and great prices. If you had issues before it's a new store so stop in!Their live and dry rock selection is good and I imagine it will only get better. I went in for some freshwater stuff (seiryu rock) and almost wanted to build a new saltwater tank based on shelf rock and other interesting dry rock I saw ( Fiji, tonga, pukani)... They also have purple dry rock so if your starting a tank it was cheap and a good way to start a tank looking nice while waiting on live corraline to develop.They do still have frags and other reef goodies.I'll be back soon to see how things go.

They are still in the initial phase of setting the store up, but already have a really good selection. The prices here are probably the best you'll find in the area and many items are comparable to online prices so shop here instead. The staff is friendly and I'm really excited to see what this store turns in to.

Love these guys and this shop. I've known Ryan a long time, and almost everything I know he taught me. The store is always clean and the fish are healthy. Brandon is always looking for the more unusual or interesting fish. Both freshwater and saltwater. I've never had to Google so many species before. And you can tell everyone cares and is passionate about the hobby!

Not so great customer service and in fact I experienced really rude behavior from one of the guys who runs the store. And honestly I’m tired of people mentioning that these guys are knowledgeable about their business. Isn’t that a minimum requirement to be running a business? When you walk into a car dealership you expect the sales associate to know about the cars so it’s pretty comparable nothing extraordinary to be honest. I bought fish and a couple of supplies but I’m not going back to this store ever.

The owner is very knowledgeable and super friendly. Occasionally, I will just go in to see if they have a mantis shrimp in stock to see. They have a fantastic selection of saltwater, and recently upgraded their freshwater collection tremendously.

2022: Great selection of fish, coral, and aquatic plants and they all appear very healthy and colorful. Great selection of medications. I highly recommend the store for stocking your aquarium or your chemical needs.Update Jan 2024: the selection and number of tanks has greatly expanded! Product selection has also expanded, including the ever popular Aquarium Co-Op line of products. Can't recommend this location enough for the DFW aquarist.

The store recently updated and has even more variety in what they stock. They also get some of their plants, fish, and inverts from local breeders, which is great for people who keep them locally (water parameters are usually similar). The staff are knowledgeable and friendly and will happily let you browse. This is my favorite local fish store in the area.

In the past, I have been terrible with fish. I could never get the hang of it. So when I bought one last Betta fish to give it one more shot, he wasn’t looking so good about 2 weeks in. This store saved his life. They even tested my water for me and the provided solutions to counter the problems there were with the water. Now he’s swimming around happy and healthy. 👍🏻👍🏻

Great aquarium store with a solid selection of freshwater and saltwater species. The anemone selection is also really fantastic. The staff are phenomenal, really friendly with great advice. The pricing is also usually on-par with other stores if not better. If you're looking for some interesting aquarium stock and good advice, this is the place.

This store is so cool! They have everything you need for freshwater or saltwater at all different price ranges. The staff is very knowledgeable and super willing to help answer any questions you have. Brandon taught us so much and has a super rad beard. Definitely will come back for any and every aquarium need I have, not just for the cool beards, but the great selection and customer service.

Awesome selection, quality and quantity. So happy to have this store up the road! They have a great selection of coral, fish and gear.I messaged (I assume) the owner on Facebook about trading in some coral and he got right back to me with loads of details. I actually messaged a few local stores and the response here was the best, so I went there.Grabbed about 10 frags at a great value, I'll absolutely be back to get all my coral and fish in the future.

Small footprint, big selection. This was my first time in. The staff was knowledgeable and friendly and the store was clean and well kept. I bought two large pieces of driftwood that were more than reasonably priced, and their livestock prices appeared to be very competitive as well. They had a good balance of salt and freshwater. The tanks were nicely scaped and and the fish all looked to be very healthy. No floaters! I'll definitely be back.
