I normally go through the self-checkout and see about 3 or 4 attendants there regularly who are always upbeat and friendly (unfortunately I've never paid attention to their names). I went through an actual checkout the other day though, because I had a full cart, Tammy checked me out and Faith bagged my items. They were amazing, with contagious kindness and positivity. Love this Kroger.

Me and my wife stumbled across a good thing at this Kroger, the salmon and its the whole one, we have bought 6 of tem the last 2 weeks alone and 5 of them were deskined by wendy who is very good at it, I would like management know how good she is at her job because another person in that department straight butchered that fish to bits and my wife was pissed so was I , but wendy she on point 5 thumbs up wendy and thanks for the great service and wonderful attitude

Store is not as clean as it used to be. Prices are ridiculous. Did away with small carts. Poor selection. Elderly forced to use self checkout and some staff refused to help him when he asked for help.

Ordered groceries for delivery and the groceries never arrived. Called Texas City Kroger and extremely rude person said that groceries are delivered by instacart and Kroger has nothing to do with delivery orders. I called instacart and they have no record of the order and said I need to talk to Kroger because order was made on the Kroger website and Kroger charged my card. I called Kroger again and the employee was yelling at me that it’s not their problem. The national Kroger number is closed, so at this point Kroger has stolen my money by charging my card. Rudest employees I have ever dealt with. Even the “manager” was rude and unhelpful.

Always have like krogersLately after I get through shopping and I get home. I found out a lot of the items that I have purchased We're already past the expiration date.Make sure you check the expiration date on the products that you purchase at krogers.

I need to learn from my experiences.nLast time I bought a yogurt from Kroger it was expired!! Cheese expired!! Now the ricotta cheese expired!! The whole cooked chicken expired!! It still had blood and it smelled awful!! I already have seen early In the morning the employees taking things from the dairy fridge stuff before like months ago.

I always shop at the Kroger here. My experience here is always excellent with the self checkout cashier Lexi. Her customer service and friendliness is always superb! She always has a smile , and she is always eager to help. Her customer service exceeds way more than I can say. Thank you!

Was checking out at self checkout Saturday afternoon (June 3rd) and was paying when an employee came up to my basket and without saying a word started scanning items in my basket that I had already scanned. When I asked her what she was doing she acted dumfounded saying "Oh I'm sorry; i didn't know you already scanned these". If your going to charge a customer up for stealing, next time make sure your paying attention and not guessing. I don't need to steal, I make more than your yearly wages in a month. 🤣🤣🤣

Needs a revamp, but the main reason for score is that the toilets were bad. Whole thing looked gross. Toilet needed a deep clean, floor needs replacing or a deep clean, walls, light switches. Most things are broken or rusty toilet paper dispenser was broken, soap dispenser was broken, door didn’t look like it closed properly. Just in general disrepair.

I just love shopping at Kroger I even worked in the pharmacy from 2005-2020 not at this Kroger another one. The only thing that’s missing is gas station. Because every time you make a purchase you get a survey and it’s no use doing the survey because it gives you points for when you put gas but there’s no place to use the points. There’s a shell on the corner next to McDonald’s where Kroger is in back it was recently closed and they’re tearing it down I keep hoping that they put Kroger gas station there it would be a good place and the customers would Love it.

I think it’s ridiculous when you come to the store get over $200 worth of stuff and your cart is full and they have no one to check you out. I held up the self checkout line with my whole basket of items trying to check myself out. Self checkout should be for people with a few items not for people like me with a whole basket full of stuff. It was at 8:15pm. This happening often here and I think I’m going to start shopping at H‑E‑B because of this issue. They decided to open up a checkout after the line got long from people like me with lots of items.

I love that they have a "reduced" section of every section! Definitely makes it worth it just to find some half priced steaks or a $0.99 gallon of milk.However, their online coupons never work for me! They advertise these great deals if you clip the coupon through the app, and I've tried it 3 different times and can never get it to work.5 stars for their discounted items. 1 star for their special app sale prices.

Check expiration dates!!! This store will keep expired items on shelves. Also, they will keep expired sales stickers on items. Laziness or trying to sell old stock? Lastly, I keep having to teach checkers how to correctly process Kroger Pay. It all adds up to terrible management.

The pharmacy absolutely sucks they can never confirm if a prescription is there when they are supposed to so don't bother signing up for messages or alerts and on multiple occasions I have had to have medication refills sent over multiple times before they actually fill them. Always a computer issue. Definitely needs some work at this location in more areas than one.

All of the employees are so nice every time I go here but what happened today was above and beyond good customer service!! I used the self check out to purchase my items and almost an hour and a 1/2 later realised that I had left bags at the store . I called them and told them what happened they said to bring my receipt in and they would take care of me. I went in they told me to gather the items that I had left. I went back to pay for them and they said I was good to go!! They gave me the benefit of the doubt and really helped out! I was panicking because those items were some of what I needed to cook dinner for my Bible study group tonight. They really saved the day for me!

I did my grocery shopping tonight all of the lanes were closed however one fine man named Leo helped me do the whole process through the self checkout lane because the cashiers still here were , and who shouldn’t be , would not open a lane to take care of my groceriesTO THE MANAGER at Kroger‘s TEXAS CITY you should definitely look into your cashier staff and do some rethinking because Leo did everything above and beyond especially given how little I saw the rest of the front workers doing I sincerely appreciate it LEO!👏👏👏

I am 65 years old went to my friendly Kroger to shop....had a basket full of stuff some heavy...one checker and 6 basket deep...i had frozen stuff so I went to check out myself....over $165.00 and 10 minutes later I rang up and transferred groceries into another cart...then the girl came over to ring up 4 heavy items in the cart...i transferred those over too...paid and left...went to car to unload ...a kroger employee saw me struggling with groceries and he didn't even help ...watched me while he was looking for carts . Thanks for nothing! Yet these employees cry because they don't get paid enough....I say they are all over paid!

Great place for a long or quick shopping trip. The people here are nice and very helpful. The aisles are well organized and easy to see where certain things are at. Some of the deli food is not so good though, but great prices in the seafood and bakery department. Even excellent savings if you look for it and stay on top of it.

The review is for the pharmacy. Horrible experience. Dropped off 4 prescriptions at 5pm. Asked for it to be ready next day. They said 4pm. Went to pick it up at 5pm, giving them an extra hour. It was still not ready. When it finally was ready, one medication they were asking almost $1,000 for! It's always been an affordable medication, about $30 for 90 day supply. Other pharmacies had it as low as $4. I don't understand how this place can function with the waiting and the prices. They even put the wrong name on the prescription bottles. Needless to say it was the first and last time I will be using this pharmacy.
