Adopted a dog from here and within the week he was biting me and my son and overly aggressive with guests. I attempted to return the dog, but Emily at the front desk refused to assist and said that I lived out of jurisdiction - it was literally a week later! Before I adopted the dog, she told me about a dog named Winter that was up for adoption being returned because it didn’t work out due to her being deaf, so why is my situation less than?! The weekend before last, the dog ended up biting my son and breaking skin and when I called back, Emily told me there is nothing that can be done and that the adoption was final. I called animal control and they picked the dog up and put him on a 10 day quarantine hold, but he is back in my care and my son is terrified to be inside his own home. I cannot find anywhere in my contract that says I cannot return a dog that is wreaking havoc in my home and harming my child. Emily has been of no help and has been terribly rude. I have been a dog owner my entire life, but I cannot choose over my child’s safety and I am being forced to! Every other shelter I have called is at capacity but said returning a dog within 30 days to the same shelter adopted from is a pretty standard thing. Anytime I call to speak to a manager, Emily asks what it’s regarding and puts me on hold. She has already admitted to searching my phone number in the system and at this point I’ve called so much she probably recognizes the number instantly. She always tells me no one is available and that I can leave a message. I don’t trust that the message will be delivered. This entire process has been a nightmare!

They were really great with their private cremation service. My childhood cat passed after 17 years together during a time when both my fiance and I were unexpectedly unemployed. I was worried I wouldn't be able to get my old friend's ashes back. It took a while, but for the price and the fact I wouldn't have been able to get them any other way, I'm so grateful for the service.

First time visiting this facility and was impressed. Staff was extremely helpful and knowledgeable. They provide low cost veterinarian care, call them for more information. They helped us reunite a found pup (who was microchipped, thankfully) with her human.

I found a friendly but malnourished and beat up stray cat. They were prompt in sending someone out to pick it up for me, which saved me a trip. I was under the impression that this was a no-kill shelter - it is not. Although this is not technically a no-kill shelter, the front desk took the time to explain to me that all animals are cared for and put up for adoption unless it is medically impossible to save them, and that animals are only euthenized as a last resort. PLEASE SPAY AND NEUTER YOUR PETS!

ARC did an amazing job just now with two really caring men who helped me rescue an injured 🐿️ squirrel. Poor squirrel was injured on one or both back legs and my dog found it on the ground. I picked it up with a tree stick and it held on until I got back from my neighbors tree. I put him in a basket but he hissed and tried to jump and I screamed like a crazy person and dropped the basket but he hid under the tractor. I stayed outside about an hour up until they showed up to collect the poor little thing. I know some may say well it’s just a squirrel 🐿️ or I should have let nature take it’s course but man- when you have animals- it’s a no for me unless it’s 🐍 🕷️.. those yeah no but a creature screaming for help… 😭😭 It didn’t occur to me to take a picture bc I was hella worried but I’m glad he will go get help and be rehabilitated if he can be saved. Caring and amazing job on their crew they sent out. God bless them 🏼🙏🏼 THANK YOU.

Great place with friendly and helpful staff. So far I have been on 2 occasions to take a dog out for “Doggy Day Out” which I think is such a lovely program for the pups. It’s a simple process that is so beneficial for the dogs. Looking forward to participating again soon.

My dog got out of our yard Christmas night do to fireworks, she got scared and ran away I called the shelter to see if she was collected and they told me I have to come in and they wouldn’t take a look for me. I can promise you she is the only one of her kind if she is there. They could have helped me more instead she seemed more interested in staying at her desk

The last in the front was very rude. She kept rolling her eyes as I spoke with her, giving attitude and wasn't helpful with anything at all. She gave me false information and I didn't find out until I called about it. I definitely wouldn't deal with get again if I had a choice.

Great well designed facility to care for anomals that need adoption. Clean and sanitary with seperate rooms for visitors to spend a little time with selected animals. If you are looking to adopt this is a good place to look.
