I like this place. The guys in the back super helpful,very kind, and respectful. I don’t always feel very welcomed in the front but they are one of the few places that carry the feed I need for my horses.

I go here for all my farm/ranch needs. If the don't have it, they can usually order it. The owners, Kevin and Tara Senkevech are warm and friendly members of the Poetry community, of which Tara is also the Mayor. From feed for your cattle to fish for your pond, they have it all.

Poetry Tack & Ag is our go-to Feed Store!. We have purchased our Cattle, Pig, Chicken, Rabbit and Duck feed from them for some time now and we are totally satisfied with their products and services. Bad customer service. If you get there and the lady tending to the register is cutting it up, talking about people and things that are not related to their service, I suggest you leave. She will completely ignore you! I'll start buying my livestock feed elsewhere.

Very nice country store. My friend (who lives not too far from this store) and I dropped by to check it out. We were very impressed. They have a little of everything. Food and treats for farm and domesticated animals. Clothes, toys, jewelry, great gifts and many other items. Very good prices and friendly and helpful staff. We will be visiting more often, especially for Christmas shopping 🛍️.

This is a great store and much needed in our area. Prices on feed and supplies comparable to other stores and chains. Lots of great gifts ideas too and everything is so well stocked. The people are friendly and very helpful. It is good to be able to support local and small business.

Great store that serves the Poetry area's needs. Has products to stop algae blooms in my pond, chicken food, dog food, cat food, deer corn, seed for deer food plots, and everyone there is very knowledgeable. They have great future plans to expand and this place is only going get better over time!

Very nice and helpful people. I was looking for Bermuda grass seed and they had hulled, no hulled, and coated (hulled and no hulled). Highly recommend them if you are looking for grass seed.

Escape the grimy, uninspired sprawl of Greater Dallas for a few hours. Turn off your radio, drive slowly, soak-up the untamed verdure that bound local roadways, and canter over to Poetry Tack & Ag. No, there's nothing to do here (as such), apart from buy some local produce and fill your lungs with wholesale country air. And that's the point. Go inside and buy a horseshoe to remember the journey.Texans need to preserve places like Poetry, and an easy way to do that is to help the people of Poetry preserve Poetry -- on their terms, and their way.My drive there and back was thoroughly rejuvenating. This charming (and fully functional) feed 'n seed is as close as I've ever come to finding a pot of gold at the end of a rainbow.Was it Fate that led me to Poetry?Nope. That would have been a left turn on Washington, back towards Rockwall.I now know both, and I'll choose Poetry over Fate every time.
