Went to buy a goldfish and a pleco. It took 20 minutes for someone to come help me. The guy dropped the first fish on the ground. Pretty sure he killed it. Then he caught a white one. It was about the same size as my goldfish (5”) . It was barely active. Two days later it died. I didn’t think anything until one of my plecos died. Now two of my goldfish have a fungus. My big guy.. Hector is sick. The manager at Petco said I don’t know what to say. He said if I still had the dead fish he would give me a refund. They are understaffed and really don’t care about their customers. Our kids have had Hector for a long time! Terrible customer service

Customer service is great. If you find the same product less expensive online, as long as it's the same manufacturer, they will honor the price. Most of Petco's products are made by Petco but they do have an online store that may have the price lower than the store.

The store was super clean and smelt clean. You had a good variety of cat food for my picky Frodo. I would like to see more canned food that contains cheese, I haven’t seen canned cat food with cheese recently so I’m thinking it is a manufacturing problem. The gentleman at the checkout was super friendly and made me feel welcome, as well as of your female employees as I walked in the door who welcomed me.

Everything was great, but the groomer. We came in about 5:30, and asked if our dog could get her nails trimmed and she refused ..I'm guessing because she was closing at 6. Instead of making up lame excuses , should of just been honest! Will not be going back to that location .

This was my first time in a Petco and was just okay for me. I was totally surprised to see the sold saltwater fish and they had a good selection. I was there to shop for my lizard and was unable to find anything needed for him. I felt their tanks could have looked a little better as far as algae. I was there for at least 30 minutes and not once did anyone ask if I needed help finding anything. I found 2 workers in the back of the store talking and asked them for assistance and she clarified they were out of what I needed and wasn't sure when they'd get more in. I absolutely loved the self wash area for the pets and the snack bar for the pets had my 2 year old confused because it looked like real cookies but I thought it was an amazing idea. I did have to drive 18 miles to the nearest PetSmart to get what I need but I'll be back hopefully on a day they have what I need for my blue tongue skink.

Visited about 40 minutes before closing sunday 4/15. waited for about 10 minutes for help with fish, went to find someone and there was only one employee (busy). finally someone came up (now it’s approx. 5 minutes before closing at that point) and she was extremely rude about helping us get 2 shrimp (literally all we wanted, simple trip: in and out. and had been waiting forever) and said it was only her and a manager and they couldn’t make those sales anymore that “petco wants them out by a certain time so no they can’t help us” and walks away. definitely left everything we were going to buy and left right away. very upsetting trip and will not be back to visit this location. not only was it terrible customer service (i should know, as a retail manager) but no way to treat a completely understanding and patient customer.

Came here for some first aid for my dog. Had one of my dogs snap at my other dog during a fetch game. This location was the closest one to me . Being that was somewhat of a emergency decided to make the trip. I have been to handful of pet stores from petco to other competitors. This is by far the most disappointing experience when it comes to pet stores. This location has that shutting down feeling you know the stores that want to sell everything before they close the doors permanently. I'm not exaggeration either you could choose a isle and you couldn't find a fully stocked isle. Definitely making this my very last option if not at all. What a bummer UPDATE 6/30/23 they stared charging for bags so if you go and spend $100 they will charge you to put your stuff in a bag. It's ok if they decide to charge but let me know before I make the purchase. Spent 50 today and your 10 cent charge cost you 50 dollars. Think it all through before sliding sneaky little changes in.

Very disappointed, I have been there twice in the past few weeks and they've been out of my dog food and treats for my dog.Not sure if they're just not restocking shelves at this location or having a run on the things we like! Crazy...

Well I tried to return a item in its original package and with receipt but it was 62 days so missed it by 2 days and I explained we not from the area we don't have a pet store in are area so we travel every so often to the one in Terrell Texas, I didn't want my money back just a exchange but was told they couldn't do it. Very disappointing since we did purchase over $150 that day . Plus the fish tanks where dirty several of them one of the fish I bought died next day

My mother and one of her friends recommended Petco, my first time ever going inside this place. My Daughter purchased a puppy for my birthday. So I needed the works; First I would like to say download the Petco App, and if you use Petco more than once a month, it is very important to get the Petco Vital Care. One of the sales people at Petco made me a believer about the Petco Vital Care. Petco Vital Care cost $20.00 a month, and they give you back $15.00 to spend in the store, how awesome is that. This is something that you need if you have a pet. I also used the Vet at Petco and they were also awesome. They got my shots up to date, (for the dog) and were very helpful. I think that I am a Petco shopper for life.

went to look at the cats they had available and the kennels we're disgusting. the glass was so dirty you could barely see in it. there were dead crickets all in their kennel. i have been to multiple shelters and their kennels look cleaner then these.

I’m a regular customer here to get my snake feeder mice and for getting toys for my dogs. Never had a bad experience here once. I’m so happy they don’t believe in the stereotype Pitbulls wrongfully have. I’m so happy they adore mine and can recognize how much of a sweetheart he is. I would bring my other pitty with me but she hates car rides. They even gave my pitty free treats once. Some people aren’t fond of those types of dogs and similar breeds because they’re the biggest target of bad owners who don’t train them, or train them to be aggressive and to be fighting dogs. Any dog breed is capable of being a bad or good dog, it all comes down to the owner! Don’t spend a dime on a breeder and make a difference. Adopt a Pitbull from your local shelter, it’s free 90% of the time, or just for a very small fee. If you can’t adopt one then volunteer at the shelter, they’re never not taking volunteers. Pitbulls deserve to be given a second chance, a loving owner, a loving household, and being treated fairly most importantly. My 2 Pitties were both rescued from shelters as bait dogs (basically a punching bag for fighting dogs), my other 2 dogs and 2 cats also came from shelters. My Pitbulls have been fully rehabilitated ever since and are very well trained, friendly towards all humans and pets now. Any dog can be fixed, no matter the breed, age, or how bad their past was. Thank you petco for contributing to all my pet’s well-being and happiness.

Petco doesn't always have what I need in stock, but I can order it online to be delivered. It's a small store to be the only one in the vicinity, so I understand having worked in retail before myself. Not all cat toys are actually cat-friendly because the ones sold at Petco have parts that fall apart easily or can easily be chewed off by kittens.Customer service is superb, however. I know they have to push Vital Care to everyone because of their market managers, so I don't fault them for that. I don't fault them for being low in stock on certain items because it's not directly their fault, either. 🙃Vetco is the most amazing part of Petco. The vet techs and Dr. Perry are 💯 and my cat receives great care. I get her claws trimmed there since I can't do it myself at home. Galaxy behaves better for them than she does me it seems 😅 I used to think it weird when I heard them call me "Galaxy's mom", but anthropology studies prove pet parents are different from pet owners, in that they are actually parenting their pets. 🤭 I am totally her mom. 🙃Vetco is really where this Petco excels. ✨

i would be more inclined to adopt an animal if the kennels that they are kept in aren’t absolutely HORRENDOUS. for the cats there is litter everywhere (which if swept everyday shouldn’t look like that) the glass is covered in snot. again if cleaned everyday shouldn’t look like that. i have been to shelters that the building is run down but the kennels the animals are in are BEAUTIFUL.

Staff is friendly but probably 2/3 of this store is for dogs. Honestly walmart has a better section for cats. I seldom find what I need due to a lack of selection.

I have bought 2 dozen fish from Petco in 3 months and All of them died even with “professional “ help I asked for after the first 12 died…. I did all they said..and still lost 12 more…even my sharks..,.

Grooming... Online it shows a price and in store they have extra charges for everything like basic supplies which added up to ~$18 additional in fees. Why isn't this included in the grooming fee? I asked for my dog to have a #4 clip and his hair is about 2" long when it should be abou 3/4" long. I said his feet need to be trimmed close, she said he didn't want his feet trimmed. I wanted his nose area trimmed short, she left it super long. He is shaggy and doesn't look professionally groomed. It was not worth over $80 plus tip...

Lied to me about fish... told me I just had to have my tank up for 24hrs so I went back today got told that now it has to be up and running for a week... the man that lied to me was a cowered and ran when he seen me and didn't want to talk.. had a woman tell me something different.. I would not trust them with fish...

Great Training Class with Valen - Bella is a smart dog but needed work in a few areas. I wanted to work on her socialization, being less distracted, and to quit pulling on the leash. I am so glad Valen was the instructor for this class. During just the first lesson, Valen showed me how to get Bella to quit pulling on the leash so much. Valen gave all the dogs in the class attention and worked on specific issues for each dog. Bella seemed to know when we headed to the class and was always so excited to see Valen. I highly recommend her.

The store was ok, not much for aquariums. The service was friendly. Not to down the store but the products from leaps and bounds. I bought a dog toy. $15 toy, brought it home because it says durable. My Rottweiler demolished this toy in 7 mins flat. It was definitely not Rottweiler approved. 🤣

Groomer Lexus is fantastic!!! This was Fluffy’s first grooming. Lexus was great with her. Scheduling the appointment was very easy and I got the date and time needed.The website quoted the price of $ 60.00 for her size and it was $20.00 more than expected. Confirm price before appointment!
