I found this restaurant through The Thirsty Goat page (it was listed as a restaurant, but it was actually just the bar).When we arrived, the waitress took a while to arrange us a seat even it was empty.The restaurant is beautiful with incredible view, totally worth to come here even just for drinks.However I don’t recommend for the food. I ordered the Fajitas with shrimp, the shrimp looks not seasoned and not seared, just boiled, as you can see the pictures.Ok, and then we ordered dessert. The Cream Brûlée, wow, I never had such a bad cream brûlée in my life. Why they even think of adding extra sweet cream under the brown sugar? It’s way too sweat. I didn’t want to waste, asked my husband and others to try, none of them could eat it.Anyway, if you want to come for the view and cocktails, its very nice. Don’t come for the food.

Highly recommend: Arrived before 5pm so Lunch Menu I was. Sat outside on patio with outstanding view including Mexico. House Salad was great with cukes, numerous fresh tomatoes, and spring lettuce. Main course rice, beans with Verde Hot Sauce and beef tortillas. Of course two beers Guinness and Anchor Steam. Quick, effective service from Ward and Brooke

We stayed in the ambush home and it was very dirty. The floors had sand and dirt all in them. Hot water took 10 minutes to heat. Next door construction kept blocking our driveway from the road. No coffee or filters. No room service. We won’t ever stay there again. No Vegan options.Dietary restrictions: No vegan or milk optionsParking: We were blocked from employees and workers constantly next door. We had to go ask them to move their vehicles

Ate here twice for breakfast and twice for dinner on our stay. The wait staff is amazing, the are fast and friendly. I drink 3 or 4 cups of coffee with breakfast and I never had to wait more then a moment before a refill. The food was delicious and very fresh, I definitely would recommend eating here on your visit.

Fantastic view. Great menu but OK delivery. Steak had zero seasoning, including salt. Waitstaff were slow to follow up. Overall just an OK dinner really helped out by that great view.

Darrell was our server and was a delight. We enjoyed a lovely late lunch and drinks. Service was excellent. The food, fabulous! It is rare to encounter good service. From the hostess that seated us, to the cooks in the kitchen, and of course an engaging server our afternoon was close to “perfect!” Thank you!

The servers were very nice to us, the atmosphere was very chill and not crazy like some other restaurants. The food... the food was pretty ok. The food I tried was the fajitas, mozzarella stick, and the chips w/ 3 dips. They were at most eat able but the the best tasting, the food was not the best but the atmosphere and workers were very nice.

It’s in the desert, so given that it was pretty good. Service was kind and attentive. The food was good, but it is a little pricey. As almost everyone chose to eat outside for the beautiful views, we had the whole restaurant to ourselves.Entrees are between 30-50 dollars. Also, you must have reservations. They turn people away even though they are not busy.

Though the views are excellent, a gas station breakfast would be an upgrade to this place. The coffee was awful, the food was burned when it came out, and the server was disinterested and in no way attentive. We came for breakfast and walked out, which we almost never do. Unless you’re staying at the resort, feed yourself from the buffet, and don’t drink coffee, I’d do almost anything else for a meal.

We dined al fresco and enjoyed a cool breeze while we ate fajitas and lemon chicken. Both were delicious and afterwards we took a stroll across the golf course to see the Rio Grande. Tony was a great waiter.

We had a mid afternoon lunch after arriving in the Maverick Ranch RV Park from a drive down from Fort Davis. We came in on May 31 to be in position to visit Big Bend National Park when it opened on Monday, June 1.We ate on the patio and had a nice lunch with Margaritas. Service was good and fast enough. The waiter was attentive and good. We will go back for dinner. Food was quite good, service good, with no complaints from us. Menu is a little expensive, but this is a resort after all.Photo is the view from our table.

I really wanted to like this place a lot more. The surrounding facilities were quite nice, but the restaurant itself was rather blah. No real atmosphere or ambiance. The waitress was rather good, but disappeared for large swaths of time leading to empty water glasses. Cocktails were rather average and the food was similar. The food was good, but significantly overpriced. Ironically, as we were arriving a gentleman was leaving and said under his breath to me 'I hope you brought your wallet'. After sitting down and seeing the menu/prices... yep, i got what he was saying. It was way overpriced and the overall experience didn't live up to the prices. Save your time, money, and effort and just visit the Starlight Theater. 10x better experience.

We were a bit skeptical at first about eating at this restaurant because of the low reviews but when there's no other restaurant open, there's really no choice. To our surprise this restaurant was anything but what we expected. The service was great. The staff was friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable of the menu. The food arrived to the table hot, and within a reasonable time frame. Our steaks were cooked to perfection, and it all was extremely delicious. We are so glad we tried this restaurant despite the reviews.

This place is beyond the synonyms for amazing. This place is an extremely great place to come for breakfast, lunch or dinner. Can we mention thw staff and servers? They were the nicest people I have ever met. Great food and service. I recommend.

The setting is lovely and dining al fresco could not be beat. There was a soft breeze and a beautiful view. The food is good, but our server, Rene is a 5-star addition to the staff. She was warm and friendly, yet professional. She was attentive without hovering…everything you want when dining at a nice restaurant.

Me and my family came here for dinner. Immediately the waitress Theresa asked us if we were staying there at the resort (which doesn’t matter because it’s a public restaurant), after telling her no, she told us there were too many reservations (this was a blatant lie because the restaurant was nearly empty the remainder of the evening) and told us to try the pizzeria instead. A nice man ended up giving us his reservation. After that another waitress came up to us and told us it was going to be a long time before we got served due to “ a busy kitchen”. This was also a lie because we got all of our food within 20-30 minutes. We were seated and had a waiter named Ryan who was EXCELLENT. He completely turned our night around after we dealt with the other two waitresses. I have never felt so discriminated against and I hope the owner or management sees this and takes action towards Theresa for her multiple attempts to drive us away.P.S the food was amazing.

We made reservations for October 1st at 5pm. Upon showing up there was a sign on the door saying it was closed until October 4th. Why they took our reservation request when they knew it would be closed is beyond me. Definitely lost our business for ever.

My husband and I had an early dinner on Thursday, and really enjoyed dining al fresco. We are total foodies, and really enjoyed the Brussels sprouts for starters. Our main courses were the salmon and ribeye, which were enjoyable, but not outstanding. The reason for the five star review is our server, Darrell! He is such a people person, was extremely professional, and shared his great sense of humor at just the right time!

We had a quick lunch at Candelia Cafe. Darryl was an amazing waiter. He made sure we got our food quickly so we could make our kayak trip.We had chili and a salad, both were great. The pretzel roll was fantastic.

This is located inside the Lajitas golf resort. The resort itself and scenery is stunning. When the server finally made his way to the table, we ordered chips and guacamole for an appetizer and I'm sorry to say that might have been the most bland tasting guacamole I've ever had. The Candelilla burger went a long way towards redemption, however, because it was pretty good. The burger was cooked perfectly and served with potato chips. The most disappointing thing is how long it took for the server to pay attention to our table again so we could order drink refills, which kept it from being 4⭐

Very disappointed! We were one of two tables, so I assumed the service would be excellent - it was subpar. We sat inside, but had several flies at our table during our entire dinner. We ordered steak hoping it would make up for the lack luster start. It had good flavor but tasted similar to a chilis steak (frozen). I hate to be so negative, but I’m hoping to save the next person from this experience. The worst part was the $200+ bill at the end. We had chips and queso then two steak meals and a bottom self drink each and still $200+. Won’t be back or suggest in the future.

We had the Easter special prime rib dinner. It was perfectly cooked a very nice size portion and the sides: green beans and mashed potatoes were fantastic! Our server Bari was so friendly, courteous and professional. A wonderful experience.

Mixed on this one.The food was good but we just had sandwiches.Service was ok but for the price per plate, I'd expect better.The kicker which means we'll never go back...They need to to put an obvious sign on the door that says they won't split checks.That's not what I look for on the menu.It's ok if you agree with the practice, I don't.

The staff is nice. However, the service is a bit leisurely for my taste. I wish the menu was a bit more diverse. There aren’t many restaurants around, so it would be nice to have more options. Also, expand your drink menu! When you bring me a menu that has four drinks on it, that makes me think that all you have is those four. It took days for me to find out that they had a full bar. Also, the food is a bit pricey in my opinion. Lastly, the servers are very nice, but with the heat, some of them could use a reminder about antiperspirant.
